On occasion, I've been known to drive up to the closest tall mountain peak overlooking Albuquerque, NM (Sandia Crest) or I'll find a quiet park somewhere where nobody else is around. Unfortunately the road access is closed up towards the top right now as there is a switchback trail project lasting till fall of 2027, although there is an aerial tram one can take to go up instead. Alternatively, I can go drive to the Jemez hot springs here in New Mexico about an hour north of me, so there are still spots to go here.
