The replies are wildly wrong? The NFC chip is part of the smart card and as long as you're using a coil for the antenna + passive power on the same contacts, it should in theory work for two to pay. Now why anyone would do this is beyond me.

Don’t sand off the card. Place it in a tray of acetone and dissolve the plastic. The chip and antenna will remain. Then you can reinvent the form of the card how you wish.

Yes, but only for up to five transactions... because then you need to insert the card and use the keypad, and that's kinda hard once you've destroyed it
