The skin on the creatures in Grok, their wet sheen and just overall feel is better and the water in the Grok version looks more realistic but the action in the Seedance version is better. We need to combine them!

Seedance is multimodal, that makes it superior.

Slightly, but for real film makers and writers, it looses on true cinema film physics etc. Seedance has the details, but when I see a Seedance videos I can see the model thinking, when I see action scenes it’s like a slapped on layer of effects not blended naturally for live action.

Grok Imagine can generate videos better than that Using two of your assets and initial prompt, I extended it a few times to generate this. 5 clips in total culled down to three clips. I upscaled it to 2k using Topaz.

I agree, Seedance is the clear champion right now. But I'm seeing that Grok is improving a lot, and the next version will obviously be very powerful. If you look closely, the small dragon is much more realistic with Grok; Seedance's is a 3D cartoon, not as realistic.

Yes. I can see that. I guess Seedance and Seedream were developed using the same datasets for its training. I saw this kind of rendering on other AI image generator models also, such as Nano Banana series or GPT Image series. When AI failed to visualize an idea, it tends to render it as 3D cartoon image.

Exactly, the best reference images are always from Midjourney; Nano usually generates 3D dragons or inflatable children's toys. 😂

Grok needs a bit better fidelity and physics. as I said before to @doganuraldesign that Grok USP is aesthetic and realism style but it sucks at Audio. I hope we get major update in imagine 1.5 :)

@doganuraldesign I agree, audio is very important. Grok has improved a lot with the elements, and being a multimodal generator, it has a huge future (like Seedance). In this test, Grok outperformed Kling, which wasn't even able to play the prompt—that's unheard of.

It doesn't improve anything; the reference image dictates the aesthetics and the detail. Seedance can't do that; only Midjourney can: I'm glad you asked, I love this world of details, it's what marks great work

Upscales often remove realism and over-delineate everything. It's a ridiculous business; it only works with old videos, and they sell it to you by showing old videos as a comparison. It's a scam. This will be a tip in my next post 😂

That's really good advice. I did upscale a few clips to help with the face that was blurry, but your right it did blend out Eli's tattoos. It definitely looked terrible with Jax fur, Up-scaling anything with fur or hair, you loose all the detail.

If the reference image has good resolution, the generator will interpret it correctly. Add good elements with detailed plans, and it will be reflected in your work. 🤗

imo grok looks better for close-ups, especially faces and stuff like that. but for big масштаб scenes like this, it kinda falls off, so yeah seedance 2.0 takes this one
