So, a lot of you have been talking about Wuthering Waves' optimization. Let me explain. 5700G (16 MB L3 Cache) + RX 9060 XT (FSR Quality) vs 5800X3D (96 MB 3D V-Cache) + RTX 5060 Ti (DLSS Quality) Note: I even increased the graphics settings on the 5060 Ti to show the difference. Explanation: Both GPUs deliver similar performance overall, but you'll notice higher FPS on the right side. Why? The Ryzen 7 5800X3D's 96 MB 3D V-Cache significantly improves performance in Wuthering Waves, especially 1% lows and overall frame consistency. In my testing, the performance improvement was around 40% compared to the 5700G. One reason is that Wuthering Waves is very CPU-sensitive, particularly in open-world areas. There are also optimization issues that Kuro Games still needs to address. I'm not trying to downplay anyone's PC. I'm simply pointing out that Wuthering Waves benefits a lot from CPUs with larger L3 cache, similar to games like Crimson Desert, STALKER 2, and Black Myth: Wukong. Patch 1.0.4 for #AssassinsCreed Black Flag Resynced has just been released, and it fixes the 30 FPS cutscene bug when using custom graphics settings. Unfortunately, the incorrect scaling issue in Balanced and Performance modes still hasn’t been addressed. Performance-wise, I didn't notice any difference between the launch version and this patch, either with Max settings or my Optimized RT settings. That’s pretty much expected, considering the game has only just been released.

With all the buzz around the Codex App, OpenAI Developers quietly snuck out a new CLI update (0.94.0) as well. And boy is it an important update! Codex Plan mode is now officially released to the general audience! I am very excited about this one as it has a really strong prompt that is unlike any other plan mode I've personally used. Codex Plan mode doesn't necessarily just ask you 3 questions up front. It goes, collects context, asks questions, collects more context, asks more questions (sometimes), and then writes an incredibly high quality plan. It is my favorite implementation of plan mode thus far. It also comes with Codex's own version of "AskUserQuestion!" Although, it only works in Plan mode for now. As someone who bought a PS5 Pro at launch, I can absolutely say it's been worth it for me, and I'd struggle to go back to the base system. Laguna Beach, CA - I’ve considered a new series regarding pet mode battles because this is not the only example. It’s still difficult to believe that there are still lots of people out there that don’t know anything about pet mode and as shown regularly on Out of Spec Studios it’s shocking how many new electric vehicles still don’t come with pet mode. Meanwhile, Tesla has basically had it forever. These are the types of quality engineered products that Tesla owners refuse to live without. I certainly refuse to live without it. Moral of the story is the woman who was ready to attack this Tesla owner is probably the next person in line for a Tesla demo drive.

Borderlands 4 Performance Summary in 2 minutes: 0:00 - Native Res Badass Settings the game runs bad 0:30 - Upscaling Performance Mode Badass Settings, the game barely manages to hit 60FPS 1:20 - Frame Gen turned on and now you have 100 FPS Some people will turn all these settings on and be happy with it but in my honest opinion these are used as crutches to make the game look as if it performs good. Borderlands 4 has a certain art style that doesn't look like it needs these kind of settings to be turned on to play at a high framerate but sadly it does and you can defend this if you want but the future of gaming looks bleak, using this tech to not optimize the games further will just result in input latency increase as every game will be delivered with frame-gen turned on in the devs mind.

I’ve officially open-sourced ABYSSAL. 🌊⚡ ABYSSAL is a fully procedural ocean and extreme-weather experience that runs directly in the browser. Waves, volumetric clouds, rain, lightning, hurricanes, waterspouts, rogue waves, and tsunamis are generated in real time using Three.js, WebGL2, and GLSL. The project is still actively being developed, and there’s a lot left to do. Deeper optimization, building the world beneath the ocean’s surface, refining the existing systems, and exploring plenty of ideas I haven’t implemented yet. But that’s also why I wanted to open it now. ABYSSAL is MIT-licensed, so you can explore the code, learn from it, modify it, fork it, and use it as the foundation for your own experiments and projects. Performance note: the demo starts with adaptive resolution enabled and automatically selects a quality tier based on your GPU. If the image looks soft, open the settings panel and raise the quality as far as your device can handle. The experience begins in Cinematic mode, click SANDBOX for full control of the camera, weather, and disasters.
