Can’t recall if i’ve had a Xavier recruit over the years. I think my old HS coach Ed Bongard was a Xavier guy. Seems like a good spot for some PA kids!

A lot of golfers get this wrong. Next time you're in a penalty area, remember there are 𝗡𝗢 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 on how you play the ball. You can move loose impediments. You can take practice swings that touch the ground. And yes, you can ground your club.

A lot of infielders are scared of the short hop. Great infielders create it! Here are some keys to playing the short hop: 1️⃣ Move your feet The closer your glove is to the ball, the less that can go wrong. Move your feet to catch the ball as close to the ground as possible 2️⃣ Play from the ground up Playing under the ball softens our hands and allows us to play through it 3️⃣ Practice away from the field To get really good at fielding (or anything) you need to put in hours and hours of practice. There is not enough team practice time to get in the reps you need to play at a high level. You must take what you learned at practice and work on it at your house. The garage, basement, driveway, or backyard. Reps build trust. 4️⃣ Someone is always working It’s a big world. If you aren’t consistently sharpening your game, someone else is.

PRACTICE TO GAME RATIO This is one of the things that is backwards in our country. Yes, you need to play. Yes, you can learn while playing…. But how many High School/College games do you see where players don’t know how to Space, Screen, Execute, Pass, Finish with Both Hands…. We spend our youth years trying to win games and tournaments instead of learning how to play. You can’t get that time back to build your foundation.
