Xbox disc to digital is freaking awesome! I’ve already pulled digital licenses from a bunch of my old physical games, but not a single Ubisoft disc wants to cooperate.

To be it makes sense Ubisoft doesn’t want to participate in something that actively benefits the consumer.

What happenes if you put a digital license for the Xbox in your retired stream room. And then put the game in the Xbox in your living room. Do you still lose the license even though it’s the same account?

The digital license follows the profile anywhere it goes unless another profile claims the license.

Have you tried COD Ghosts or any other launch Xbox One games yet by chance? I think some people who have older potentially launch discs (like me) of it aren’t able to get the digital license from the disc, and was curious if anyone has actual evidence of ANY copies working.

Bunch of the launch Xbox One games didn't work. Ryse, Dead Rising 3 and Fora Horizon 5. They are adding more, so that could change.

Yeah I knew those as I tested them personally, but I’ve seen some people claim they work so I’m wondering if maybe they got a later print of the game that is compatible or something? Or they’re just wrong who knows

Ubisoft is a shitty experience on steam too.. I click launch game and it opens the ubisoft launcher. Wtf is even the point of being on steam if you do that...

Besides Ubisoft, nothing from bandai Namco, square enix and Sega worked for me.

Dang!! But this is really cool, playing digital with games that arent avaliable anymore!! I just wonder how the DLCs works, wish Xbox let it all avaliable like gEt F.E.A.R license and all dlcs are there to install

I’m gonna cancel my 4 subscriptions over the cloud gaming theft they plan to give lowest tier only 5 hours of gaming… disgusting 15 max to ultimate. Fuck Xbox 2-3 months I’ll go without gaming I suggest everyone does this.

So this does not make any of these games playable on a pc, right? I was watching a YouTube video that seemed to suggest it, but haven’t found any corroboration anywhere else.

If the digital version is labled play anywhere, then yes.

Yeah all my ubisoft games don't support it either. My guess is it's because ubisoft didn't allow support intentionally so people buy ubisoft+ in the future, which sounds about right for ubisoft.
