I feel like people whose livelihoods rely on divisive console war stuff often forget that a decade of new fans arrive every decade and they don’t know jack biscuit about what “the olds” are so worked up about. They just want good games.
I have zero interest in the Xbox games coming to PS5 but I get excited for every announcement because it comes bundled with these salty reactions
In the online world @XboxEra seem a pretty grounded bunch. No hate - I'm going to break down some of the points made. (and it's Sunday I'm feeling in the mood for it!) * It’s a generalisation to state that the PlayStation gamers engaged in fanboy wars insults of Xbox games are representative of the 100 million+ PS4 and PS5 user base - of course there will be a strong appetite within the PlayStation community to play Xbox’s finest games like Halo. The criticism of games that have been of lower quality such as Redfall, Hellblade II and Avowed should not be dismissed as fanboying, but valid and most of it has come from within the Xbox community who’ve not been happy with what they’ve played. * @Shpeshal_Nick resents PlayStation gamers’ excitement for Xbox games coming to PS5. He feels that excitement is disingenuous because they never bought an Xbox console to play them. Whilst I’ve always been a multi-console owner, outside of the enthusiasts, most console players just own one console so they stick to the platform they prefer. It’s hard to move people across to new platforms. Just look at the Epic Game Store, Epic has tried so hard and invested so much money on enticing Steam owners to it with timed exclusives of triple-A games, and many people decided to wait for games they wanted because they preferred to have the Steam interface. * Whilst I genuinely am sad at what is now the slow erasure of the Xbox console platform, Nick and the other Xbox Era lads should take comfort in that they will now be able to experience games they have already played and love with added immersive controller feedback and graphic fidelity on PlayStation 5 Pro.

A few months ago, the Philly rocker (who is rarely seen without his DOOM hat lately) named Czarface and MF DOOM’s 2022 album ‘Super What?’ as his “Perfect 10” album for Pitchfork. Czarface commented on the Instagram post, “KV!! Let’s get some music done!” Last night, on his birthday and in his Boston hometown, the hip-hop group’s Esoteric joined the Violators to rap over “Bassackwards.” “The cool thing about Czarface in general is that they have the old-school hip-hop tradition, but then they’re still making these new records and they always have guests like MF DOOM or GZA, the Genius, or so many different people all the time,” Vile said in his Perfect 10 video. “But it’s those three guys and then they make these modern hip-hop records that lean backwards but also go forward into the future.” Vile’s on tour behind ‘Philadelphia’s Been Good To Me,’ and Czarface’s new album with Frankie Pulitzer is out next month.
