Cuban is the main reason Brunson and Luka left Dallas. From day one, he was saving every euro instead of building a championship team around Luka. Dallas could have been champions, but because of his stinginess, the opportunity was wasted. it would be best if he stayed quiet.

Of course not There is some truth in there but ultimately Mark is two things. A businessman AND a Mavs fan. He saw an awesome deal and he took it, to sell for that much and still have some equity is a great deal. He never would have greenlit the trade. He made the initial deal with the understanding that he would be running basketball ops. He still owns over 25% of the Mavs, as a owner I care a lot about what he thinks. The most intersting thing to me is that multiple times Mark claims he had a handshake deal to be over ops. If that's the case, it feels like he could have actually made a bigger stink about it then he initially did and opted not to.

Don’t forget he hired Nico, a GM with 0 experience known for botching Curry pitch at Nike. Cuban passed on Giannis and signed CParsons to party with him and didn’t re-sign Tyson Chandler, let Nash walk, didn’t sign Brunson etc. Being cool on Shark Tank gave him a weird pass.
