How on earth do they keep them all safe, no trees to roost, no wires above with deterrents - aerial predators would be feasting for days, no? I’m only familiar with coops and fenced areas for chickens and still predators can find ways in and around. this seems like a banquet for some hawks.

To be honest, my feral flock continues to thrive, and they don't even get fed. I have the usual predators, and they do just fine. It's amazing. My roosters do a really good job.
