yeah definitely getting rid of these smith presses 👎 the machine feels like ass imo, can't feel my chest, and it destroys my wrists. instantly 100x better using dumbbells despite the much greater instability on dbs smith machine propaganda got me for a bit but never again. 🙅‍♂️

Most people that had similar issues as me are on legacy, so if you are on relative it might not work for you, but its night and day difference for me. We have now fully commissioned the machine after a few hiccups related to an old dying hard drive in the machine PC (it had a 1 gb hard drive!!) could save the machine in the nick of time with the help of a fellow machining junkie who knew how to do it! But the real reason i am writing is that we successfully ran our first 3D program on it and that the program was written entirely using Claude !! I did it myself and it took me a few hours to get it going. The best part of using Claude was that I could ask it to use macros to write the program which meant i could control *all* variables in the program. And it ran like a charm! Rendered on the part a fine finish and a brilliant high to see the part come out better than expected! I set the job myself because I wanted to get a feel for the machine, its ways and how to work with it. It had been nearly 15 years since I had set a job on the machine for a VMC, and it felt good to know the craft has not left my hands and getting them dirty while making parts still makes me happy! Samaachar samaapth :)

Virtua Racing: FlatOut looks very nice on PS2, but it lacks a bit of pop. I've fixed it for myself in PCSX2. It's not a perfect analogue for the arcade version, much like the game itself, but I'm getting it closer to the OG colours and vibes for my tastes. Great game, btw ❤️

There is something special from getting words on a page using my voice and editing it using a pen and paper-feel. sound on! ps: no harry potter reference in this one, sorry! the reason that I am exploring all these elements in eink is that I am convinced that eink+ai can lead to a much much better type of human computer interaction.

Here's my first beat on the Akai MPC Sample. Let me know what y'all think. All of the limitations on this machine have really taken me back to my early days of making beats, where you were forced to make beats a specific way, and work within the machines parameters. The dope part about it is that there is an inherent sloppiness and imperfection where things sound a little off that actually makes things sound kinda weird and funky to me. This imperfection allows happy accidents to happen again. The machine is not perfect, nor was it meant to be, but I feel like it's unlocking something that I haven't accessed in a while. Will share more of these as I keep learning this machine and how to freak it properly. WORD! #undergroundhiphop #boombaphiphop #akaimpcsample

Here's the second beat I made on the Akai MPC Sample. Let me know what you think below. I've realized that this machine has forced me to get straight to the point and not procrastinate. I've realized that using a program like Ableton (where there is infinite hard drive space and capability), I often sample things with no intention of using them until later. And while having a hard drive full of samples feels good--nothing feels better than making a beat with a sample that you just found right there on the spot. I'm getting back to that now. So I've decided to keep the MPC Sample in my bedroom, on the desk that's right next to my bed. This is how I was making music from 1999-2005, but over the years I had forgotten how much of a difference it makes to keep your tools close to you. I'm still learning how to freak this machine, but will keep y'all posted on my progress with it. Thinking of putting some beatmaking videos on youtube. Would any of y'all be interested? WORD! #akaimpcsample #boombap #boombaphiphop #beatmaker
