Bill Whitaker of 60 Minutes: Is that whole idea being lost in the harsh rhetoric by the administration? Me: The attack on universities is a tragic blunder. For all the foibles of universities, and there are many, and I pointed them out, universities' research makes life better, massively so. Why would you want to cripple it? It's something that the United States does really, really well.

I don’t actually mean it the way you think … what I mean is sooooo many of you are soooooo angry at your parents for what THEY DID … without you spending a second time thinking of what happened to them and oftentimes what happened to them was based on their anger and resentment and the negative impact that they got from their parents, AKA the concept of this post. Before you get super Bob down at the details , "Grandma, what did great grandma do or great grandpa do?" This is all generational. The real question is: instead of being angry at your parents, are you going to stop the pattern and put in the work and surround yourself with positivity and accountability and have the right people around you? Whether it's meditation or exercise or therapy or other things, are you going to put in the work to get to the next place so you can stop the negativity, the pessimism, the cynicism, the fear and create a new chapter in your family's world?

On the antisemitism "task forces" established at the most prestigious universities in the US: "When they create anti-Semitism commissions to study anti-Semitism on campus, which are basically designed to keep politicians & donors & Jewish organizations happy, they can't hire their own Jewish faculty who study anti-Semitism to be on the anti-Semitism task force... ...because these people actually know too much about anti-Semitism ... and what really is and isn't anti-Semitism. Those people get left off the committee. So at the University of Pennsylvania the guy who was in charge of the anti-Semitism task force is the head of the dental school. Sure he's a lovely man right but he's a dentist I'm sorry. At UCLA, it's a guy who studies real estate finance. These very universities you have Jewish Scholars who study anti-Semitism but they can't be put on the committee because their definitive anti-Semitism won't fulfill the purpose of these task forces which is to create a pretext for censoring and shutting down Pro Palestinian speech." -Peter Beinart

This is absolutely the right advice Too many people come into the corporate workplace thinking they are a rebel and will change how things work The reality is that if you want to get ahead, you need to play the game that has been laid out You can opt out of the game if you wish and follow your own path Maybe once you are senior enough at the MD or PM level, you can try to change the culture But until then, learning to play it is your best bet of moving ahead in your career

Our colleges and universities must educate, not indoctrinate. We have brought accountability to our higher education system, fought the woke, and returned the focus to the classic mission of universities. Republicans in the Florida House are trying to roll back this progress, give a lifeline to the political left, and pave the way for the re-wokification of Florida's higher education system. HB 1321 should be nicknamed the "Make Universities Woke Again" Act because it would remove the accountability that is required to prevent our colleges and universities from reverting to a focus on indoctrination.

The hatred of Jews and anti-western propaganda in our universities greatly worries me. It's not just in the United States, but also here. Namely at ULB in Brussels and at the University of Ghent. The organizer of the occupation in Ghent couldn't even condemn Hamas on TV yesterday. What a surrender to values so far removed from ours! Even some liberal politicians downplay this or act as stokers with their cowardly political discourse. What are they still defending today? Not our values and norms, but the opposite. The unrest at the universities and the cowardice of many politicians shows that our way of life has become vulnerable. The Trojan Horse is within our walls, and we accept it through excessive tolerance. We must have the courage to name this problem and turn our universities back into places where people can think critically again. Far from dogmas and extremism. Far from violence and anti-Semitism. Provoking sympathy from Islamists is not only a betrayal, it's also a threat. It's clear to me: you must culturally integrate into Europe or leave for Iran or Gaza. The path is clear. Enjoy your time with the Ayatollahs or Hamas. But don't destroy our universities. We will not accept this behaviour. We must always stand for our European Values & norms. For a Europe that protects us. Assita
