TypeScript 7 just hit RC, and the compiler is no longer written in TypeScript. It's been rewritten in Go. Testing on the Playwright repo and it dropped from 6 seconds to 0.87. Same files. Same errors. Same behaviour.

Node Banana must grow. - Discord server: link below, hmu. - Generate node carousel: the active image will be used in the workflow. - Node group locking: because I accidentally hit run and it killed the mood. - Hot hot keys: Shift + (p)rompt, (g)enerate image, (i)mage, (l)lm node. Also cmd + enter to run. - Logging - Split grid node can now be run manually.

Announcing Hermes-node Hermes can now run as a standalone CLI with Node.js-compatible APIs - no C++ embedding required. Technically, hermes-node is a Node.js API compatibility layer for Hermes. It ports Node's native bindings (fs, net, http, child_process, etc.) to Node-API and reuses Node's original lib/*.js files, allowing standard Node.js programs to run on Hermes instead of V8. It vendors libuv, c-ares, llhttp, Ada, simdutf, etc to provide the same networking and I/O stack as Node, and runs as a standalone CLI binary. In this demo: - REPL with tab completion - TypeScript HTTP server using http, fs, and path - Type annotations stripped natively by the parser — no transpiler, not even a built-in one. This is still a work in progress, though surprisingly functional. More Node modules coming, source will be published soon.

first step was getting llama cpp to play nice with electron js so that we can run the model I fine tuned on the client, a couple errors but eventually got it wired up with node-llama-cpp bindings. this way the model + app can be shipped to the user (client) and run offline
