In the lead-up to the gathering, incendiary videos circulated on social media spreading lies about the event, while far-right activists infiltrated the gathering and falsely claimed it was an “Islamic takeover” linked to “terrorism”. Multiple attendees have told 5Pillars that the gathering focused solely on strengthening faith and propagating the message of Islam to the wider community.
