Yesterday, we launched a radiosonde between two tornado warned supercells in Illinois. This one is a 100g balloon and usually goes to about 65,000 feet, but we’ve found mean burst altitude is closer to 15,000 when ingested into an updraft like what happened here. Here’s a look at the... show more

I've been a space fanatic since I was 5. Say what you want about Musk, but this is history in the making, and will one day be a starting point for our interplanetary travel. Congrats to the entire SpaceX team and congrats to American ingenuity!
