🚨 CN PLAYERS ARE ALREADY EXPERIMENTING WITH DLSS 5 IN NTE. This is NOT the official NTE DLSS 5 release, so keep that in mind. Some CN players have been testing an unofficial pre-release DLSS 5 build on RTX 50 Series GPUs, and the results are honestly fascinating. 👀 The biggest difference isn't just sharper graphics. DLSS 5 can dramatically change how the game renders: ✅ Skin ✅ Hair ✅ Materials ✅ Lighting ✅ Shadows ✅ Fabric ✅ Character depth In some scenes NTE starts looking MUCH more realistic. But it definitely isn't perfect yet. Players are also reporting: ⚠️ Characters looking too realistic or "plastic" ⚠️ Stronger AI-reconstructed appearance in shadows ⚠️ Visual artifacts ⚠️ Occasional instability ⚠️ Extremely heavy GPU requirements And that's important because this experimental version has NOT been properly optimized or adapted for NTE yet. The finished version could look very different. What makes this especially interesting is that NTE is already OFFICIALLY confirmed to receive DLSS 5 later. So I'm not looking at these tests as "this is what NTE will look like." I'm looking at them as a very early glimpse of what this technology could potentially do once Hotta and NVIDIA properly integrate it. And THAT has me extremely curious. 🔥 Would you want NTE characters to become more realistic like this, or should Hotta preserve the current anime look as much as possible? #NTE #NevernessToEverness #NTEネバエバ #NTECreator

It’s AD 1444. You’re in Europe. Do you realize what’s happening right now? Constantinople is still Christian. But it has only 9 years left until it becomes Islamic Istanbul. The Ottoman Empire is pushing deeper into Europe. The Byzantine Empire is dying after more than 1,000 years. The Hundred Years’ War is still being fought between England and France. The Black Death happened within living memory, and plague still returns to European cities. The Renaissance is taking off in Italy. Florence is becoming the center of a revolution in art, architecture, and learning. Ancient Greek and Roman writings are being rediscovered and studied. Gutenberg is experimenting with movable-type printing. Within a decade, the Gutenberg Bible will be printed. For most Europeans, books are still copied by hand. Most people will never own a book. The Catholic Church dominates religious life across Western Europe. There are no Protestants. Martin Luther won’t be born for another 39 years. The Reformation is still 73 years away. Most Europeans still understand the world through a deeply Christian worldview. Latin remains the language of the Church and European scholarship. Universities already exist at Oxford, Cambridge, Paris, Bologna and elsewhere. Gunpowder is changing warfare. Cannons are making the great stone castles of the Middle Ages increasingly vulnerable. Knights in armor still ride into battle. Longbows and crossbows are still deadly weapons of war. The compass is helping European sailors venture farther from familiar coastlines. Portuguese explorers are pushing down the coast of Africa. Europeans still have no idea that the Americas exist. Columbus hasn’t even been born yet. Leonardo da Vinci hasn’t been born yet. Michelangelo hasn’t been born yet. Shakespeare is more than a century away. The printing revolution is coming. The Age of Exploration is coming. The fall of Constantinople is coming. The Reformation is coming. The medieval world is fading. The modern world is beginning to stir. And you’re standing right in the middle of it. Welcome to Europe in 1444 AD.

You’ve got to see this. Thomson Reuters — the grand old gatekeeper of legal databases and serious journalism — just had their stock plunge 16 to 18 percent in a single day earlier this month. Why? Because Anthropic’s Claude AI dropped a new legal tool that does what their expensive Westlaw subscription used to do, only faster and cheaper. The shares are down 33 percent this year already and over 50 percent from last summer’s peak. Huge, given that we have not yet recovered from the Washington Post scandal. The new reality hits the legacy media industrial complex. AI analyzes documents in seconds. Bloggers show up on the ground with a camera and raw footage. Traditional journalists? They’re holding out their hands on GoFundMe. Just look at the Washington Post — hundreds laid off, and their own people had to crowdfund nearly $200,000 in days just to get stranded producers and fixers home. Crowdfunding is one of the potential sources of income for modern journalists. Not for the media giants of course, but might be a good source of income for individual media workers. Some outlets aggressively pursue “non-news” revenue streams and build additional resources. The New York Times used to organize global tours led by its star writers, whose audiences number in the millions. Their cooking app still drives people wild. Few remember that the Times launched three apps — two of which failed — yet they kept experimenting and searching for new paths. Others chase social media clout or let people bet on news outcomes like Polymarket. Not a bad idea for the media outlet, right? But the real answer is simple: journalism becomes financially stable when it stops serving corporations and starts serving the audience directly. Honest reporting, paid for by readers who actually trust you — through subscriptions, crowdfunding, or personal brands. No more middlemen. No more narratives. Just the truth. The future belongs to the independent voices who tell it straight.
