@CEOofFuggy I have a 40 series gpu and never turn on frame generation. The game artifacts like your gpu is dying, and you only get +30%-50% more fps for it

So from what I’m gathering frame gen in videogames is the one application that isn’t cringe because it only uses information the graphics card gives it. Instead of generating say frames 1,2 and 3 it just generates frames 1 and 3 and using the information from those makes 2

so. this whole "frame generation" selling point thing. im guessing that means everything and anything that uses it will have a weird feeling of latency or that unsettling moulty gross AI generated animation feeling huh? yeah probably, and some tech bros and gonna chow down on that slop like its the most wonderful toenail infested cold potato and discared food mush possible....

To be fair, Lossless Scaling has already accomplished 20x Frame Gen, so nvidia will be able to it better if not just as good.

DLSS is better than most video upscalers because it has control over the rendering process, video interpolation/upscaling can absolutely suck, but I've used both (not DLSS frame generation though) and DLSS is so much better
