“A Star Is Bored” is a 1956 Warner Bros. Looney Tunes cartoon, directed by Friz Freleng. The short was released on September 15, 1956, and stars Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. The cartoon expands upon the rivalry depicted between Bugs and Daffy, in such films as Chuck Jones' 1951 short “Rabbit Fire”, this time placing the action in a show-biz setting. In this 5-minute short, Daffy must double for Bugs in any slapstick that Warner Bros. deems too dangerous for its top star. After each disaster, Daffy shouts “MAKEUP!”. The director directing the scenes has an Erich Von Stroheim accent. This is one of the only four Warner Bros. shorts (the others being “This Is a Life?”, “Invasion of the Bunny Snatchers”, and “[Blooper] Bunny)” in which Bugs is paired with each of his three main antagonists (Daffy, Elmer Fudd, and Yosemite Sam). This guy went to his local fair, after getting thirsty he decided to check out a stall and get some bug juice. Only problem is the bug juice is made with real bugs. It has scorpions and ants and other bugs in it too. The vendor was encouraging him to eat the bugs too, the fact that it is neon green makes it even worst for me, would you try this?

Bob Hoskins' younger son didn't talk to him for two weeks after watching "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" (1988). Only later did Hoskins realise that it was because that his son might have been angry that his father, who had cartoon friends like Bugs Bunny, Yosemite Sam, Daffy Duck, etc. wouldn't bring them home to meet him. Bob Hoskins talking about it: "After I did ‘Roger Rabbit,’ my younger son wouldn’t talk to me. It took me about two weeks to figure out that he reckoned that any father who had friends like Bugs Bunny, Yosemite Sam, Daffy Duck, and who didn’t bring them home to meet him, well, his father was a total (jerk). The basic premise of all this business is that everybody’s totally insane. They are. They are completely insane. And that’s wonderful." (Bob Hoskins's interview with Richard Stayton, LA Times, 1992)

"The Old Grey Hare" (1944) Bob Clampett's Bugs Bunny is a total asshole, and it made for some hilarious shorts. Can see why this version of the rabbit didn't stick—he's definitely not the most sympathetic—but endings like this show why it's a great spin on the character.

“Slick Hare” is a 1947 Merrie Melodies cartoon, directed by Friz Freleng. The film was released on November 1, 1947, and features Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd.
