You can attach your own files as custom instructions to GitHub Copilot. They don't need to be text, either! You can use code, such as SQL, or templates in any language you're working with.

I have been using the YAML format because Markdown files do not work as well with Cody but I'm willing to try again with Copilit. However, I created a prompt that helped me create the YAML files and Markdown files. All I had to do was add the code and it picked up on the formatting.
