I know some people look to me for optimism and hope. I try to be that person most of the time. Usually I can find something to grasp onto. These past few days, weeks, and months, what I held onto was the hope that somehow, some way, miraculously, they’d be alive. That we’d witness Ariel and Kfir going back home to their father and Shiri to her husband. That hope was just shattered. So, I got nothin. I have no words. In this moment, I feel total hopelessness. I know deep down that we’ll get through this somehow but in this moment, all I have is deep dark sadness. I’m sorry. And as I saw the official news, I was about to start a TV interview on i24 News. The timing could not possibly have been worse. And that’s quite apparent in the interview. I am sad just looking at myself so sad. All I can say is, we are a resilient nation and we will, somehow, get through this and come out stronger on the other side. Now just to figure out how to get to the other side. 🥺 I failed the Bibas family. We all did. Humanity failed the Bibas family. In one way or another, Hamas will pay for this and will suffer the worst type of torture imaginable. They WILL be held accountable. That I can promise you. I don’t know how and I can’t imagine it now, but we will dance again. Because we always do. For now, just sadness.
