Importing tools, instructions, projects, and chat context is a small detail with a big effect on switching costs. Keeping the setup portable makes trying a new agent feel much less expensive.

Most of what I've learned running Claude Code well isn't in any config. When to kill a session, what to let it figure out on its own. Import doesn't really help with that part.
the real signal isn't the three-step import. it's that model choice is becoming a portfolio decision, not a lock-in decision. questflow takes the same view: gpt, claude and other frontier models are switchable inside the trading workflow.
Portability is the moat. If context and instructions move cleanly, switching models becomes a weekly optimization—not a migration project.

this kind of portability matters a lot more now that people have months of instructions and workflows baked into their coding setup. switching models shouldn't mean rebuilding your whole environment
lol so they built a better copy paste tool. still waiting for the actual coordination layer that maps demand to these agent capabilities instead of just shuffling them around.
