There are only two solutions at the moment to the UK immigration issue: 1) the non-discriminatory solution: stop all immigration to Britain, including all 'asylum seeking' -- at least for a decade or two, if not longer. 2) the discriminatory solution: allow immigration only by certain kinds of people, of certain religions, from certain countries, based on minimizing their statistical likelihood of committing Jihadist terrorism & undermining British civilization. If the British elites can't stand the discriminatory solution (e.g. they have some Blank Slate egalitarian neo-liberal view of human nature), then they must accept the non-discriminatory ban on all immigration.

You don't need to make different rules for different people. You have to make universal rules that minimise the risk of criminals and terrorists from entering the country. That includes closing down borders and a decent remigration and/or deportation policy. Today, many countries don't even ask respect for our societies.
