@SteveBackshall Most of the world’s rivers are toxic. That said, why not laid down an ultimatum for the water companies? Either clean up your act to an acceptable level or get taken over by the government with no compensation for shareholders. 👍

@SteveBackshall Feargal Starkey is very critical of the Government's water bill, stating that due to the small print, no-one will go to prison. He states laws are already in place, but the regulators don't enforce it. He believes the Government has wasted an opportunity and I agree with him.

@SteveBackshall We pay for our water so surely any utility company falling below the safe levels should be held to account. As any private companies should be,for selling something for consumption that is not fit for consumption. We should just pay for sewage element of bill .
