Can an 11-year-old truly understand the risks and lifelong implications of a decision like this? The Government must stop this dangerous trial and put children’s safety first.

As a result, doctors are increasingly prescribing puberty blockers for boys, which lower male hormones and stop further male body changes. For girls, puberty blockers stop breast development and halt menstruation. The feedback I'm getting from parents whose kids have used these drugs is that they're irreversible. That's a frightening fact when around 80% of children with gender dysphoria in childhood will not continue to experience it after puberty, as the feelings often recede with the onset of adolescence. See what you think of the committee's responses, and then look closely at how fast the government shut me down.
