It definitely has a hard time spelling.

The big push for AI was to help humans yet it can’t even recognize a simple spelling mistake in its own creation? Or does it do this purposely?

Odd song choice. Chasing Cars? Why not an iconic 80s song like “Don’t You Forget About Me” or “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”. Plus pay phones didn’t look like this.

No seat belts required for kids? That off by a few decades.

Bazooka gum for 2 cents with bazooka joe comics inside. Arcade games in the 7-11. Comic book racks. All kinds of trading cards with actual stale gum inside.

the things said and shown in this video- it cheapens what the 80s (and 90s) actually were. really being there was so much more than this even represents- it feels like a cheap disney remake. it was just life, it was just being normal, it was just being free and capable to discover a whole world being ignorant to the dark realities the future would bring. most kids wouldn’t even mention these things said because they were “just life things”. we forget how earnest and trusting by default ppl were. most weren’t exposed to the shittiest of humanity to be either influenced by or given fear from (like today). even the shitty ppl in your town had a shred more decorum than a common figures you see on social media. social media robbed an innocence that many ppl could live their whole lives keeping intact- and that’s sad.

If there’s a movie I love more than “ET the the Extratraa-Terstrial” that would be “Starratat the Warras”

If Captain Crockpot made an appearance and it wasn’t the holiday’s, you were getting pot roast. Or, more specifically, chalky meat and vegetables with a slimy coating.

The 80's! The 60's for me. Much the same. In 1960, I turned 4 years old. I started Kindergarten in 1961. Walnut Creek, CA. It was Newell Ave. then, but became 1987 Olympic Blvd after Olympic was build. California was so much different then.

the whole remembering phone numbers brag is diminished by the fact that we usually were only remembering the last 4 digits. I don’t remember memorising any out of town numbers.

In 2025 we use spell check. Also in 2025, The Retrieval-Augmented Generation AI, that created these videos still hasn't figured out HOW to use spell check. Cool sentiment though.

We used the tv guide to show us times and dates of our eight channels we had. We only had channels 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13. and at 10:00pm the channels were blocked/off for the night and came back on at 7:00 am. In 85 HBO was created and it was a box with Off and On.

Corrections: That was not a van, that was a Station Wagon. No one knew about slow cookers because we were kids. I never even heard of those cookers until I was in my 30s.

1. Someone doesn’t know the difference between a penny and a euro. 2. The euro wasn’t even used until 2002 anyway. 3. Where the hell is that foot wearing the red sneaker sprouting from???
