Dude no the only reason I watched those is because there was no other way to watch what I wanted to watch. If I could find the media in its full form back then I totally would have watched it that way.

I mean kinda different in the sense that back then it was harder to find full movies and episodes so we were stuck with watching them by parts. Good times tho, having to wire up the internet and pray no one called so it wouldnt die out and have to let download the vids again. 😂

Ahhh yes, I remember back in the old days of YouTube when you can watch tv shows and movies in chunks on the site.

Back in those days YouTube had a limit of 10 minutes for videos so people had to cut shows and movies into parts and gave them long titles in the hopes the parent company doesn’t find them and copyright strike them

Lol great animation But I DO think it's a bit different. I watched anime in many parts because I just didn't have any other option for it. I always very much preferred the rare instances of managing to find a full episode/movie lol

It was because we had no other option BUT to watch them in segments, not because our brains couldn’t stay interested, it was just the youtube way, and man they were much longer than a minute or two.. today, kids CHOOSE a minute over an hour.

Man, that was the day - pretty sure I watched/found some anime through YouTube when copyright on there was more lax.

Nah. The kids aren't fine. I can watch movies in both clips and full feature lengths. My nephew and niece can't even watch The Iron Giant. My soul weeps.

I honestly wouldn't choose to watch stuff that way unless I absolutely had to, though. I mean, technically this is how watching shows works in general, but as far as watching a movie in a playlist, I'd only do that if I had no other way. That's so far from my preferred method.

The difference between then and now is that the videos had to be broken up back in because YT had a 10 minute video limit, while people purposefully make 60 second clips with additional music and shit nowadays.

No Slushi, darling, people watched anime divided on parts in YT cuz that was the only way u could see that in order to avoid Copyright, nowadays kids do that cuz their brains are completly fried and if they dont see the changing reel animation every 30 secs, they burn out

Don't use what one HAD to do as an excuse for the kids having no patience today.

Lol that’s because back then it was easy to watch anime on YouTube for free and not have ads disrupt your watch, and they were longer than 6 secs. Either full eps for broken down in small part, usually 2, 12 mins each for a full 24 min show. God I miss those times
