“You know, people say that lightning does not strike twice in the same place. It doesn’t strike the same place twice. Maybe. But for me, I want to be on the safe side, I would rather make sure and prepare for a situation where Rwanda that was struck once... show more

FDLR & their all their supporters in various capacities should take this as a cue. The lightning will be diverted to strike them instead, not Rwanda. Quite a message

Jordan Spieth was asked about the ongoing situation with LIV and how the PGA Tour should treat players who want to return. "I'm not sure. I'm not sure if it should be the same for everyone. I know olive branches were given out, you know, a couple months ago. Brooks took 'em up on it. So I'm not sure what would now change. Obviously with, if it -- and I don't even know, that doesn't necessarily mean that LIV's not going to still move on, too. "I think there's just too many unknowns for me to have a good gauge on what would happen there. But I think, if there's a system for Brooks and a system for Patrick Reed, does that stay the same for guys in the same category as those two coming back or does it change now. Does it change for guys who sued and dropped their membership. "There's just a lot of different things that happened over the last four years for that. I'm kind of glad I'm not in that room, and I trust the guys that are in that room to make the right decision."

🚨🇷🇼 PRESIDENT KAGAME: IT WAS IMPORTANT THAT WE HAD JUSTICE, NOT REVENGE “If you are fighting a brutality like that one, you can't be the one seen to be doing the same, otherwise, why did your people die, or why did you fight? The leadership had to step in and say, look, let's wait for the time we have a system in place to try those people who did those things. But you can't take the law in your hands, otherwise you will create chaos, or maybe we will see the same genocide of other people happening like our own people were killed.” Source: Paul Kagame

#WATCH | Delhi: EAM Dr S Jaishankar, "Look at our response to 26/11 in Mumbai and look at our response to Uri and Balakot. I think nothing can tell you more clearly, more sharply, because, you know, at the end of the day, the armed forces are the same, the bureaucracy is the same, the intelligence is the same. So if you look at what are the structural inputs and responses of the system, it would be the same...Uri and Balakot were meant to demonstrate that no, life will not go on and that there will be a price and don't think because you've done something and run away to that side, that you are safe there. You will not be safe there. It will not be safe across the line of control nor across international borders. So there was a clear, direct message out there and I think the people to whom that message was intended to be sent, hopefully got it."

"Rwanda was not created by human beings. What created Rwanda is the same power that created the entire world. The One who created the world did not then hand over the power to create Rwanda to other human beings. We are created by the same power that created the whole world. Above all, we want peace and we will strive for it. But anyone who wants peace must also prepare for the opposite of peace. And when the opposite of peace comes, even when it is not what you wanted, what do you do? You put in place the means to withstand it until peace is achieved." President Kagame | Swearing-in Ceremony of Senior Officials.

Trump just now on the muted mics during the debate: “We agreed to the same rules. I don't know. It doesn't matter to me. I'd rather have it probably on, but the agreement was that it would be the same as it was last time. In that case, it was muted. I didn't like it the last time, but it worked out fine. I mean, ask Biden how it worked out. It was fine, and I think it should be the same. We agreed to the same rules, same rules, and same specifications, and I think that's probably what it should be, but they're trying to change it. The truth is they're trying to get out of it because she doesn't want to debate. She's not a good debater. She's not a smart person. She doesn't want to debate.”

Reporter: Will you strike Iran after the midterms? Trump: I'm rejecting their deal. They want to make a deal where they open the Strait immediately because they're losing so badly. They want to make a deal, and I think that's fine. I like making a deal, too, but that deal would not be acceptable.

LUNA: “If you know that you are going to get hit, and if you know you’re going to have people die, ultimately I would never want to have be in that position as the president.” “But what I will tell you is I would rather be on the right side and be able to control the outcome of something that I know is going to happen regardless.” MAHER: “I…I have to…I have to agree.”

CNN’s Elie Honig on President Trump running for a third term: “The 22nd Amendment is about 99.8% clear. But let me just explain the 0.2% where it‘s maybe not clear. I‘m not endorsing this, I think it will fail, but let me explain where that 0.2% is coming from. The 22nd Amendment says no person shall be elected to president more than twice, but there‘s arguably a difference between elected to be the president or serve as president. So that gives rise to this theory, maybe he‘ll run as the vice president, and then the president will resign.” “However, you then have to look at the 12th Amendment, which says, if you‘re ineligible to be president, you‘re ineligible to be vice president. But the response to that… is ineligible just means the person is 35 years old, natural-born U.S. citizen, and 14-years of residence in the United States.” “So it‘s one of these situations you just wish the framers… the people who wrote the Constitution were just a little clearer. They obviously meant you can‘t be the president twice, but they didn‘t quite say it. I think it loses in court. I don‘t want to encourage this, but that‘s the legal hook that people are hanging on to.”

French President Macron: We have to be the ones to negotiate this new architecture of security for Europe’s day after, because our geography will not change. We will live with Russia in the same place, and the Europeans are in the same place, and I don’t want this negotiation to be organized by somebody else other than Europeans.

Brian Windhorst says Giannis should want to stay in the East and play for a team like the Miami Heat: "I would prioritize staying in the East. Im not sure SA or HOU are going to even make serious offers... I would be wanting to stay in the Eastern Conference and look at a place like Miami that might not have that perfect setup but would be able to be in the East and build around him"
