Does it even make sense when those who tell you there's a better place than here still desire to collect from the money you hustled to get here? Therefore, making them have more than enough money to enjoy their lives here than you? Does it make sense?

If someone’s suffering or in great despair due to illness or lack of justice etc. at least when he’s told there’s a life after death where justice be served and punishment will be executed in bad people he’d be comfort.
