You paid half a billion dollars to bring foreign workers into Canada. Here’s how: The temporary foreign worker program cost you $1.6 billion over the last 5 years. Except the fees that TFWs are supposed to pay didn’t cover costs, so there was a loss of $509 million. We...

Will Poilievre 'name and shame' businesses abusing the immigration system? During a Mississauga press conference, Rebel News publisher Ezra Levant asked Pierre Poilievre if he would "name and shame" businesses prioritizing temporary foreign workers over young Canadians. Levant proposed actions for the Conservative leader, such as a Tim Hortons event or writing to their board, amid criticism that the company extensively employs temporary foreign workers. "There's no downside to these companies hiring foreign workers. But if there was a PR downside, patriotic Canadians said, 'this is enough' ... would you consider naming and shaming in the public domain abusers of the temporary foreign worker program?" Ezra asked. "Yes," Poilievre replied, noting fellow Conservative MP and Shadow Immigration Minister Michelle Rempel Garner has already begun publicizing companies taking advantage of the program. This query concerns a TFW restaurant manager role at Tim Hortons in Singhampton, Ontario, advertised at $36/hour. A similar job posting for Gravenhurst, Ontario, is advertised at $25.10/hour. Since May, ten low-wage job postings for the company have been added to the government's public job bank. The Conservative leader condemned the Liberals for allowing youth unemployment to skyrocket as huge numbers of temporary foreign workers enter Canada. Meanwhile, Canada lost over 40,000 jobs in July, with youth employment (15-24) at 53.6%, the lowest since November 1998. "The Liberals have to answer, why is it that they are shutting our own youth out of jobs and replacing them with low-wage, temporary foreign workers from poor countries who are ultimately being exploited," Poilievre said. A recent CIBC report said youth unemployment in Canada is now at 'recessionary' levels. REPORT by Ezra Levant 🍁🚛:

Controversial Whitby councillor bashes Canadians opposed to Temporary Foreign Worker Program So, who in blue hell is Victoria Bozinovski? For starters, she’s a councillor with the Town of Whitby. She’s also supposedly a conservative. We have a recent picture of her posing with Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre. But Bozinovski recently made headlines by stating that if you are against the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, that makes you: “xenophobic… racist… garbage…” Wow. That’s harsh! Yet, her sentiments are also inexplicable given that by supporting the Temporary Foreign Worker Program Bozinovski is going against the official policy of the Conservative Party of Canada which states: “The Temporary Foreign Workers program would be permanently abolished with a separate, standalone program for legitimately difficult-to-fill agricultural labour.” So, if Bozinovski identifies as a conservative, why would she go against Conservative Party values? Is she (ugh!) a female version of Erin O’Toole, perhaps? We would love to interview Bozinovski to get her side of the story. We tried to do so last month after a Town of Whitby Council meeting. But she literally ran away from us – and even sic’d her security guard to illegally get handsy with us. What a coward. And given her recent flip out regarding the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, that classic line from Hamlet springs to mind: “The lady doth protest too much methinks.” So, we did a little digging regarding Victoria Bozinovski. And we think we now know the real reason why she is such an ardent defender of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. Which is to say, Bozinovski is a broker with Toronto-based Titan York Realty Corporation in Toronto. And one of her specialties is hospitality. Hospitality would presumably include fast-food restaurants. You know, like Tim Hortons, which absolutely adores the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. Talk about a eureka moment! You see, the Temporary Foreign Worker Program works very well indeed for Bozinovski’s clients and would-be clients. Which means that the Temporary Foreign Worker Program also works very well for Bozinovski’s own financial enrichment. How sad. It would appear that Victoria Bozinovski, is putting money ahead of the party she allegedly supports. She is presumably also putting the almighty dollar ahead of her own country. Shame. For that reason, we don’t think Victoria Bozinovski is fit for office. What kind of patriot throws homegrown Canadian citizens under the bus so that multibillion foreign nationals can hire cheap foreign workers? That’s disgraceful. Bottom line: the last thing our once great dominion needs is yet more self-serving phonies who are conservative in name only. REPORT by David Menzies:

So here’s Patty Hajdu, Canada’s Jobs Minister, explaining why it’s totally fine that young Canadians can’t find work. She actually said this: “Temporary foreign workers are about 70% less than a few months ago. Low-wage TFWs are less than 1% of the workforce.” Sounds good, right? But then in the very next breath she admitted the program is still “critical” in areas with low unemployment, the kind of loophole that allows McDonald’s and Tim Hortons to keep importing cheap foreign labor while Canadian kids sit at home without jobs. And when she was pressed on that abuse, she didn’t deny it. She bragged that the process is “onerous.” Employers have to post on the Job Bank for four weeks, pay a fee, do an interview. Then Ottawa “tracks” the applications. In other words, she defended the bureaucracy, not Canadian workers. But the real kicker came when she was asked about youth unemployment. She admitted it’s spiking, but shrugged it off with a metaphor: “Many economists say youth are the canary in the coal mine.” The canary in the coal mine? Imagine being twenty years old, can’t find a job, rent’s through the roof, and your government calls you a canary. So let’s translate this. If you’re a Temporary Foreign Worker, life is good, Ottawa built an entire program to protect your job. If you’re a Liberal insider, life is even better, you get the contracts and the consultants’ fees. But if you’re a young Canadian? You’re the canary in the coal mine. That’s not a jobs plan. That’s contempt.

Here’s how the scam works: Consultants in India, sell the idea of, “Go to Canada, get free healthcare, we’ll find you a job, you’ll be able to then bring your parents, bring your grandparents, and you can all succeed because even if you don’t, the government will take care of you. You just have to pay us.” The temporary for workers (TFW) family, then pools together generational savings to give to the consultant - usually $50 -75K. That consultant then pays $30-$40K, to those business owners hiring TFWs. So then that becomes the business model for those business owners: TFWs. Not the business itself, but the hiring of foreigners. Because that money is paid cash, making it tax-free. Those TFW, then come here and they work 70 to 80 hours a week by force. Otherwise they get threatened that they will get fired and told they lose their temporary foreign worker status. I’ve heard this from many victims. The UN called it modern day slavery. They called out our TFW program. The government even has a report by an independent third party they hired, recommending more resources for compliance because of the abuse that exists. Ultimately, the victims are temporary foreign workers, our youth who are then displaced and unable to find work, us who have our healthcare systems choked, and those relying on food banks. Why? Because TFWs get a lower wage, get taken advantage of, and can’t afford to live, because they were sold on a lie. It’s a shameful scam that the Liberals have allowed to flourish.
