Claude Code is a major (and accidental!) hit for Anthropic that surprised even its creator, Boris Cherny. Claude Code, an Agentic AI coding product that lives in the terminal. Most of the new code at Anthropic is created through it today. And in the last 5 months since it was launched publicly, Claude Code went from $0 to $400M in revenue run rate (as per The Information). 00:00 – Intro 01:15 – Did You Expect Claude Code’s Success? 04:22 – How Claude Code Works and Origins 08:05 – Command Line vs IDE: Why Start Claude Code in the Terminal? 11:31 – The Evolution of Programming: From Punch Cards to Agents 13:20 – Product Follows Model: Simple Interfaces and Fast Evolution 15:17 – Who Is Claude Code For? Noah Brier (Noah Brier) uses Claude Code as his second brain—it’s the coolest notetaking setup I’ve ever seen. He has Claude running on a server in his basement hooked up to a VPN. It stores, reads, and writes to thousands of notes in his Obsidian (Obsidian) vault. He does it all from his phone. I had him on the show to tell us exactly how he’s pulling this off. We get into: - The nuts and bolts of the Claude Code-Obsidian setup: Noah set up Claude Code on top of his Obsidian root directory, and he walked me through how he uses it to prep for an upcoming speech—creating a project folder, pulling in relevant research from his notes, saving transcripts from chats with other LLMs, and generating daily progress updates. - The “thinking partner” that lives inside Noah’s second brain: Noah points out that in the hype around AI’s ability to write, the fact that it can read is overlooked. That’s why he has an agent inside Claude Code with strict guardrails to stay in “thinking mode.” It logs his questions, tracks insights, and catches him up on research if he returns to a project after a few days away. - How Noah does deep work on his phone: Noah rigged a home server in his basement, put his Obsidian vault in it—and then runs Claude Code on top. Noah says that being able to think, write, research, and ship code from his phone has fundamentally changed the way he works. This episode of Every 📧’s AI & I is a must-watch for anyone curious about who wants to learn how to use Claude Code to build a true second brain. Watch below! Claude Skills are a cheat code for DTC creative teams 🤯 One setup, reusable forever. Claude automatically follows your exact creative process — briefs, hooks, ad copy, research — without you explaining anything twice. Perfect for e-comm brands and agencies who are using Claude for creative work but wasting time re-explaining context every single conversation. Here's the problem: You open Claude: you paste in your brand guidelines, explain your brief format, write the copy, you close the chat. Next day, you do it all over again. Every conversation starts from zero. You're burning 20 minutes on setup before you even get to the actual work. Claude Skills fix this: → Write your creative process once as a Skill (a simple markdown file) → Claude reads it automatically whenever the task comes up → Skills compose — research triggers the research Skill, briefs trigger the brief Skill, copy triggers the copy Skill → All in one conversation, all building on each other → Share across your team so everyone gets the same quality output No re-explaining your brand voice. No pasting the same context every chat. No siloed projects that don't talk to each other. What's in the playbook: → The full architecture (how Skills trigger, chain, and compose) → 5 ready-to-use Skill templates built for DTC and agency creative teams → Step-by-step setup from zero to working Skills → How to write instructions that produce consistent output every time → The composability framework for running multi-step creative workflows in one conversation I put together the complete Claude Skills Playbook for DTC brands and creative agencies. Want it for free? >Like this post >Comment "SKILLS" And I'll send it over (must be following so I can DM)
