“You shouldn’t proceed! … It should read that!” Watch this Tesla #FSD attempt to illegally turn at a red light, forcing the driver to disengage. This software needs to be banned immediately.

@Tesla Dan, Why do you keep ignoring all of the videos that I’ve been tagging you in that clearly illustrate critical safety flaws with Waymo software? Don’t you care about the safety of all autonomous vehicles?

@Tesla 1. Its supervised, and was disengaged properly. Why should this be cause for banning? 2. While “illegal” to turn right on red here, it only did so when the conditions were completely safe to do so. 3. Adherence to these traffic signs will come in future versions.

@Tesla Why should it be banned when the point is for the driver to be there and disengage when it makes mistakes?

Dan imagine a world where the “no turn on red” no longer exists bc it can see around the corner that humans can’t. This is a blip and always errors to the side of caution, this is far from “unsafe” driving practices. Are YOU going to take responsibility for those that you discourage from using this life saving tech when they get killed by a 3000lb missile driven by an error prone human?

@Tesla It’s Supervised FSD and huh even says this is the first critical disengagement… way safer than humans driving and guarantee humans turn right on red there all day. This is absurd

@Tesla This is a real problem I’ve encountered several times. Either posted no turn on red signs or the ones that light up when someone else has the right of way. I continue to disengage and report but it doesn’t seem to get any better. Several problematic intersections near home.

@Tesla Maybe before you claim that the software needs to be banned maybe you should read the documentation and all the warnings given. It cannot read signs and you as the driver need to react to them.

@Tesla ticket the fuck out of them if they are allowed without a human driver. nobody will want to own one of it costs $350 each time they're out

@Tesla @NHTSAgov wow. Ban this
