You write frontend code. You write backend code. Wasp lets you write a third kind: full-stack code. Pages, routes, auth, jobs, and more, all defined in a single spec that ties your whole app together. And as of today, it's 100% TypeScript. 🟦 Introducing the Wasp TS Spec. 🐝👇

Martin (my cofounder/twin/CTO) wrote the deep-dive on the new TypeScript Spec: how it works, and what it unlocks - e.g., writing your own file-based routing right in your spec. Wasp = Web App SPecification. Now the spec is just TypeScript. 👇

We're also kicking off Launch Week live today, in two hours. Come hang out:

months of amazing work on this one: @infomiho @filipsodic @FranjoMindek @hot_town @MathewTolic @MartinSosic @_cprecioso

Let's go. Congrats to Wasp team and myself.

Yes sir, I can boogie

TS all the way. Sometimes the best feature is deleting complexity. Nicely done 👏

TS TS. Thanks Nikola!

I built CutCue, an AI tool for streamers and creators, on Wasp. It handled the stuff that usually takes weeks - auth, payments, sessions, so I could focus on my product.

This is so sick. Wasp was already so easy to build with, now even easier :0

just awesome!

thanks Mircea! Appreciate your support along the way :)

i think now we can all say we've pushed a baby out

wasp.ts 🤌 Congrats @MatijaSosic!

Thanks Ivan!

Great work team!

Thanks, Muthu! True Day 0 supporter :)

Big day for Wasp!

new day and new great project happy to meet Wasp TS Spec

🙌🙌ts ftw

Great job @WaspLang team!

cant wait to try this out via codex!

Go go go!

funny enough, making this video made me realize how powerful the TS spec makes Wasp. It really is in a league of its own.

Interesting approach. How does the TS spec handle complex async workflows like multi-step onboarding flows or state machines? That's where most full-stack frameworks fall apart for me.

Awesome! This has been long awaited 🔥 Super excited about the full TS spec, upgrading today. So much potential!!! That said… I’m also mildly terrified looking at my ~1000 LOC .wasp file. Congrats on the launch, Matija & team! Wasp keeps leveling up.

fair play, but writing a "spec" for everything is just adding another layer of abstraction to debug when it inevitably breaks.

Gratz on the launch! 🚀👏

Super clean approach to cutting down boilerplate. Exciting milestone for the team!

full-stack code sounds like a dream until you're debugging a single spec that's trying to do five jobs at once - how do you handle separation of concerns when it all lives in one file?
