I asked 49ers General Manager John Lynch about Mike Tomlin’s mentorship he gave him as a player and his reaction to Tomlin stepping down. He talked about when Tomlin arrived in Tampa Bay as a defensive backs coach and handed Lynch a VHS with 86 plays on it that he could do things better in. Lynch said it ticked him off at first, but he later watched it and it made him a better player. “Mike’s special. Our game will miss him.” #NFLCombine

On Hart: "Giannis is a tough cover for anybody, especially when you're giving up 6-7 inches or whatever Josh is giving up. He fought all night. On Towns: "I thought the two biggest plays of the game were KAT's offensive rebound late in the game. It was going to be a one-possession game if they got that, but he gets the offensive rebound, I think it puts us up by four. But more importantly than that, he stole the jump ball."
