In principle, this can work as a trigger for literally anything. Wireless signal (EM waves) to delivering electric current then triggering the mechanical device to getting the job done Crude but it works. Kudos!

Great initiative. This is too mechanical though. Best way to achieve this is to use relays for control. More efficient and reliable.

that is a seriously clever way to handle remote power control. dialing a number to flip a switch is definitely more practical than most of the over-engineered stuff i see.

One of the reasons why technology haven’t grown in Nigeria or why Nigeria dont have home grown tech is the lack of attractiveness of the great talent. This same item he showcased here, a Chinese man will produce it exactly same way and package it in very appealing manner, and the world for be crazy to have it. When you have talent and you are able to produce things like this, you need to package it well. Invest some funds into it, encase it beautifully. The world don’t need to see the content. Every company and tech manufacturers started small, and grow. If I have this kind of talent, I will set up a company with it.

Firstly the idea is great and impressive attempt to invent something , but to actually be relevant you need to solve problems , and in Nigeria this can't be someone's problem or headache , it's a bold step but an incomplete one , how about how to switch it back , infact there are many questions... @stdeeno This is a really impressive idea and well executed. But I'm afraid it's impractical. A demonstration should show how it works both ways. Also, what if there is network failure? The best innovations ask as many "What ifs" as possible and answer them all in the design.

This is a nice and innovative idea BUT! It is way less efficient and is highly prone to mechanical failures. It could have been done better in a more micro level using the combo of embedded systems and IOT to produce an even more efficient result with less mechanical noise.

He has has tried however he needs to study more. There are actuators and relays for this already. Turn on your gen automatically or switch from gen to mains on auto and vice versa.
