Men should not decide for women. Of the 30 cabinet ministers, just 2 are women. Of the 32 CMs, just one is a woman. Only 13% IAS officers were women. Only 12% police force is women. Disruptive teens turn a day at the beach into cuffs in a cop car. We are at Euclid Beach Park in Cleveland, Ohio. A group of three teens were harassing the life guards in a scene that started with the male from the group harassing one of the female life guards. When the female life guard walked away and went into the guard shack, the three teens continued to where one threw a shoe at the life guard supervisor. When Cleveland Police officers rolled up onto the sand, things went from zero to sixty immediately. The responding officer noted that as he approached, he witnessed the suspect in the black hoodie throw the shoe at the lifeguard. When the officer ordered her to put her hands behind her back, she and her companions instantly resisted. The officer had to unholster his taser to gain compliance, eventually wrestling the woman in the black hoodie to the ground to detain her. As the primary arrest was happening, the other two teens repeatedly stepped into the officer's space and ignored orders to back away. The girl in the white shirt was warned multiple times she’d be arrested for obstruction. VIDEO: Woman who threw speeding ticket toward Hurst Police officer brings complaint to city council FOX 4 NEWS ... HURST, Texas - A Hurst woman and the local police department are telling different sides of a story involving a traffic stop and a thrown speeding ticket. On Jan. 16, Taneisha Thompson was stopped by a Hurst police officer after allegedly speeding in a school zone. Hurst Police released body camera footage of the incident on Tuesday. In the video, an officer issues Thompson a traffic citation after a brief conversation. Thompson is seen throwing the ticket back at the officer, who then placed Thompson under arrest with the help of another officer. Officers pulled Thompson out of her car and onto the ground before arresting her. Thompson's child was present in the passenger seat of the vehicle at the time of the incident. Thompson has hired civil rights attorney Lee Merritt as she considers legal action against the Hurst Police Department. She says she suffered a black eye, a lip injury that required stitches and several bruises on her body from the incident. Thompson read a statement to reporters on Tuesday evening during a press conference before sharing her story with Hurst City Council. "I am here today because this is bigger than me—this is about all of us. It is about ensuring de-escalation, about prioritizing the safety of every citizen, so that no one else endures what I did. I am deeply grateful for all the support I have received from around the world—this is a call for justice, for humanity, and for safety. I will not be silenced," part of Thompson's statement read. Merritt answered questions during the presser. My partner and I got attacked at Download Festival on Sunday. We just stopped to watch a band and a women sat about 10 feet behind us in a chair marched up behind us and shouted 'f*cking get out of my way'. We told her it's a festival, we can stand where we like and you can stand up if you want to see the band. chill out! A young women next to me said she had said the same to her. The woman then continued a tirade of verbal abuse which included, you are a pair of 'big c*ocks', and 'I am going to hit you'. She then ran up behind me, ripped my hat off my head which pulled my neck back and then threw my hat into the crowd. Her male friend then punched my partner in the face. When I turned I pushed her away from me, she then grabbed my hair and kept pulling it until I was on the ground she then repeatedly kicked me in the head, face and body with her heavy boots . Luckily some wonderful bystanders pulled her away from me, as she was much bigger than me, both in height and width. We went to the security and police and they said because I pushed her I would be offered a Community Resolution, which I refused to accept. They also said we might be evicted from the festival. We were not treated as victims of assault we were treated as trouble makers. The police failed to take a full statement from us and the Download security didn't even bother talking to us, just the people that attacked us. These terrible people weren't arrested or evicted from the festival, they were allowed to stay and to potentially go on to verbally abuse and attack other innocent people. I complained to the police and did another statement yesterday. The man taking the statement was shocked as it did not come across as we were victims at all in the statement taken at the festival. It's shocking that a police office saw the video of me on the floor being repeatedly kicked in the head and face and failed to report it correctly, identify us a victims of assault and evict or arrest our attackers. I am a 55 year old woman with epilepsy, I don't drink or take drugs, my parter is 53 and didn't drink as he was driving. I was looking forward to Download as a distraction as my Mum has just been killed by medical negligence and I have been spending my time dealing with the coroners and all that goes with it. It's been the worst time of my life and this experience has just sent me over the edge. Shame on the police for victim blaming and failing to protect the public from dangerous people. As for the person at Download security you should be ashamed of yourself, believing them over us and not bothering to collect evidence from both sides. I have attached a video of me being attacked and some photos of the aggressive woman. In one of the photos you can see her being held back, so she would have happily gone back in to attack me again. I had to go home as I didn't feel safe staying, as they were still at the festival, plus I wasn't in any fit state to stay. I currently can't work as my chest has been stamped on and i'm struggling to move and breath properly. Eating is fun as the right side of my face and teeth are really uncomfortable and my lip is cut. My vision has also been intermittently blurry and I have felt dizzy. I work for myself, so getting paid time off isn't an option. We did get some witnesses but if you or anyone you know saw this women attacking or verbally abusing anyone please let me know. Let's get the face of the women who thinks it's ok to stamp on someones face and head at Download Festival known. People like this should be banned from any festival for life. A big thanks to all the wonderful people who helped me. Download is a great festival, it's such a shame people like this spoil it for others.

When I turned I pushed her away from me, she then grabbed my hair and kept pulling it until I was on the ground she then repeatedly kicked me in the head, face and body with her heavy boots . Luckily some wonderful bystanders pulled her away from me, as she was much bigger than me, both in height and width. We went to the security and police and they said because I pushed her I would be offered a Community Resolution, which I refused to accept. They also said we might be evicted from the festival. We were not treated as victims of assault we were treated as trouble makers. The police failed to take a full statement from us and the Download security didn't even bother talking to us, just the people that attacked us. These terrible people weren't arrested or evicted from the festival, they were allowed to stay and to potentially go on to verbally abuse and attack other innocent people. I complained to the police and did another statement yesterday. The man taking the statement was shocked as it did not come across as we were victims at all in the statement taken at the festival. It's shocking that a police office saw the video of me on the floor being repeatedly kicked in the head and face and failed to report it correctly, identify us a victims of assault and evict or arrest our attackers. I am a 55 year old woman with epilepsy, I don't drink or take drugs, my parter is 53 and didn't drink as he was driving. I was looking forward to Download as a distraction as my Mum has just been killed by medical negligence and I have been spending my time dealing with the coroners and all that goes with it. It's been the worst time of my life and this experience has just sent me over the edge. Shame on the police for victim blaming and failing to protect the public from dangerous people. As for the person at Download security you should be ashamed of yourself, believing them over us and not bothering to collect evidence from both sides. I have attached a video of me being attacked and some photos of the aggressive woman. In one of the photos you can see her being held back, so she would have happily gone back in to attack me again. I had to go home as I didn't feel safe staying, as they were still at the festival, plus I wasn't in any fit state to stay. I currently can't work as my chest has been stamped on and i'm struggling to move and breath properly. Eating is fun as the right side of my face and teeth are really uncomfortable and my lip is cut. My vision has also been intermittently blurry and I have felt dizzy. I work for myself, so getting paid time off isn't an option. We did get some witnesses but if you or anyone you know saw this women attacking or verbally abusing anyone please let me know. Let's get the face of the women who thinks it's ok to stamp on someones face and head at Download Festival known. People like this should be banned from any festival for life. Romanticising this incident is a big mistake. You know why? Let me ask you a few questions. First of all, who is she? A random woman in public, right? That’s what most people think. Okay, fine. But let me ask you this: What if she was a Muslim? What if she looked middle-class or poor? What if she was a South Indian or a dark-skinned lady? What if she spoke only Marathi? Okay, understood. You’ll say that no matter who she is, she was questioning the right thing. Fine. Now answer these questions too: Is she representing the people or just herself? If she claims to represent the people, is she an elected representative? If not, then who is she? Once again the answer is.... She is just a random bold woman. Got it. What right does she have to abuse a bunch of people and the leaders who were democratically expressing their opinion? Did those people burn anything? Did they abuse anyone? Did they violate any rules? Did they initiate any violence? The answer is "No." (Well..you don't even go near to them if such thing happens right? ) Their demonstration was completely legal. They had taken proper permission from the police and the local administration. Whether their demands are RIGHT or WRONG is a separate debate, but the protest itself was lawful. This is how democracy works. Every citizen in a democratic country must understand and respect this process. This lady, however, comes across as a moron — an abuser and a selfish individual who has no right to question an organised, legally permitted crowd headed by democratically elected leader. In a country like India.. the largest democracy in the world...Every democratic step taken up by any is a step towards shaping the future of India. If she got delayed for something, say work or movie or meeting or any damn thing ..she should have dealt with it seperately. Only emergency is permitted during such situations .. "We ate the last of the beans and went to Russia." Konstantinovka. Soldiers from the 2nd motorized rifle battalion of the 72nd motorized rifle brigade escort two civilians to the rear. An elderly woman in a summer sweater, holding a bottle of water, and her neighbor with two bags – all that remains of their previous lives. "Everything that didn't burn," she explains. Lidia Alekseevna Derkach. She lived her entire life in Konstantinovka and never left. Her parents came to Donetsk from Russia to work and live. She has relatives in the Orel region. They decided to spend the winter together: Lidia Alekseevna had a stove, and she invited her neighbor, Sasha, to her house, where her children used to live. They stayed together until drones attacked their house. "Fifteen Ukrainian drones attacked our house and burned it to the ground. We miraculously survived, hiding in the basement," the woman recounts. After that, they spent two months underground, not leaving. She describes the situation around them as if it were a normal day: the city was burning. Her neighbor, who ran to put out the fire at his house, was torn apart by a drone. Three women were standing under a tree – they all died. They were forced to leave the basement because "we ate the last of the beans. And we went on foot." One of the locals suggested a route: "Ukrainian drones don't fly there, Russian drones do – go freely, don't be afraid." A serial sex attacker who turned London’s streets and Tube stations into his personal hunting grounds will never walk free again after a judge condemned him to die behind bars. Simon Levy, 40, was today handed a whole-life order at the Old Bailey for the sexually motivated murders of grandmother Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo, 53, and mother-of-four Sheryl Wilkins, 39, both murdered in 2025. He was also given concurrent life sentences with a 12-year minimum for the violent rape and assault of a third woman earlier that year. Judge Mark Lucraft KC, told the killer he was "clearly someone who ruthlessly exploits others for your own personal sexual satisfaction" and someone with a morbid fascination with sex, rape, and crime. Levy, who wore dark glasses throughout the hearing, showed no emotion as the judge declared: "You will be in prison for life." The rare whole-life term, reserved for the most heinous offenders means Levy will never be eligible for parole. There are less than 100 such prisoners in the entire system. Levy’s reign of terror escalated from opportunistic groping on packed trains to cold-blooded murder. In January 2025 he lured a vulnerable woman to a Tottenham car park, raped her, broke her collarbone, and smothered her until she lost consciousness. She survived and later told police she knew where her attacker lived. She was not properly interviewed until after two more women had been killed. In March he murdered Colombian grandmother Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo in a stairwell on the Aylesbury Estate in south-east London. Five months later, while still free on bail as a suspect in that killing, he struck again, smothering Sheryl Wilkins behind a wall near Tottenham High Road, in the same car park where he had left his earlier victim for dead. In court Levy’s surviving victim described him as a monster and a parasite. "He took away my soul that night and he took away my dignity," she said, describing the attack as worse than the trafficking she had previously endured. Sheryl Wilkins’s sister Lindsey Hicks sobbed as she addressed Levy directly: "You, Simon Levy, have destroyed our lives and we will never ever get over this." She added that she hoped he would rot in prison. Carmenza’s daughter Nazly Johana Fuenmayor Valencia spoke of an emptiness that can never be filled and a world "ripped apart." Levy’s history of sexual violence stretches back years. Convicted in 2021 for assaults in 2018, he went on to assault a female prison officer while inside. After release he launched a campaign of attacks on the Tube, later convicted of 11 sexual assaults on public transport. Police recovered press cuttings and internet material showing his disturbing obsession with rape and sexual crime. Despite this history he was repeatedly released on bail. Delays in identification parades, failures to oppose bail robustly, the return of a stolen travelcard that let him roam free, and a downgrade of his risk level all left him at large. The Metropolitan Police, British Transport Police and Crown Prosecution Service have all admitted a collective system failure. One senior Met officer has acknowledged that Sheryl Wilkins’s murder could have been prevented. The Independent Office for Police Conduct is now investigating the Met’s handling of Levy as a registered sex offender from his 2021 conviction through to his final arrest in 2025. Have You Heard of Belli Lalitha? Belli Lalitha was one of the seven siblings in her family, she had no formal education and in fact worked as a labourer in a spinning mill. At the age of 25, she became so powerful that governments and people in power feared her. So much so that she was chopped into 17 pieces and her body was strewn across in Bhongir, Telangana. Belli Lalitha was a traditional Oggu Katha singer. She was fondly called “Telangana Gana Kokila”; Nightingale of Telangana. She founded the Telangana Kala Samithi. Though not properly educated, she used her lived experiences of being a labourer in a spinning mill & wrote and sang songs that reverberated amongst Telangana public, especially women. She became voice of the oppressed Telangana public and questioned the existing Andhra rule. Demanding for a separate state, she sang with her heart in “Daga Padda Telangana” Sabha. She became an icon for separate Telangana movement in Bhongir, Warangal, Medak, Mahabubnagar. She also rescued many women who have been pushed into prostitution in Hyderabad. On 26th May 1999, Lalitha came back home from wok and stepped out for a meeting and never came back home. Police refused to acknowledge her missing case. When people started agitating a district level police officer went to the extent of saying they would have encountered have they caught her and wouldn’t simply arrest her. A fake letter in her name was circulated. Her character was assassinated by a few media houses. Entire 10 districts of Telangana people started coming on to the streets and questioning the government. After four days, a woman’s dismembered body parts were found in an agricultural well. Police denied they are Belli Lalitha’s. For 13 days police kept recovering a woman’s body parts across Bhongir. Finally! On 10th June 1999 midnight, Lalitha’s head was found. Thousands attended her funeral and people raised slogans against the then CM Chandrababu Naidu and Home Minister Alimineti Madhava Reddy. People till today believe that Madhava Reddy started getting jittery about Lalitha’s rising popularity in Bhongir, his constituency. She was to contest in the elections too. And it is widely believed that they wanted to even silence the Telangana statehood voices. Police and government tried to pass her murder as a murder of passion. They demeaned her character and spread vicious stories about her. But her brother Krishna fought and filed a case on gangster Nayeem who executed similar murders earlier. Much later, police said gangster Nayeem’s brother Alimuddin and his associate was behind Lalitha’s murder. Her brutal murder angered and inspired many to join the separate Telangana movement. She was as powerful as Gaddar but being a woman from golla-kuruma community, her story was largely remains untold.
