Try it by asking your agent: "Set up Restless in this repo by running npx restless init and following the steps." Or, check out the site:

New era is coming: "API by default"

everything is getting streamlined, i love it

AX is just as important as DX and UX!

agents reading docs is going to be a whole genre soon

yes! but they don't like to search for them, so you have to bring the docs to them

so the docs have to start showing up at the door now

so with this- can agents basically debug themselves and fix their own API errors now?

yup, smooth AX so agents don't get stuck

One of the few times I agree with Sam. Excited for this!

Agent recovery inside the error response is a really smart idea.

yeah it came from the frustration that agents don't search for docs, almost ever for famous apis, they use old data for new apis, they give up

This one is super useful :)) Every support question turns into a fix. Docs teams can finally breathe

The name is so fitting ahhaha I love this idea Seems like such a no-brainer. Smart people working on a smart solution

it started as a codename (feeling restless about AI, plus RESTful APIs), and stuck!

congrats, excited to see where Restless goes

making every API easy to use!

self-updating docs from real traffic is such a goated feature. congrats on the launch Gregory!

Giving agents a better interface makes a world of difference! 🦾

Man… I am going to be busy for a week now. Great work. Loved it

So no need to spoonfeed our agents? Thats supercool

Running it through the agent makes the setup feel natural Gregory

what's the most common thing agents report as broken?

Missing settings endpoint! People originally built APIs for code integrations, not for agents trying to configure things.

agents fixing their own errors is actually such a game changer

A few of the coolest features: 🔁 Agent Recovery: Insert docs into error responses, so agents don't get stuck. 💡 Agent Feedback: If agents hit a wall, they can let you know so you can fix the docs or the API itself. 📈 Public hub: Documentation on-demand for each customer, built with realtime data

this was inevitable I dont even open apps anymore if they have have mcp support

yeah nothing worse than your agent saying "please go log in, click XYZ setting, and let me know when you're done" ...I don't wanna be the connector for my agent!

Possibly the greatest dev tool name ever 🏆

i know i was so excited to finally get to use it

Its actually a fact that Agent recovery and the error response is a such a great thought.

Putting the recovery steps directly in the error response feels much more useful than making the agent go hunt through docs.

I am pretty sure that with AI (just like Facebook), we are your product, and the invasion of our privacy now is a perennial Zuck wet dream.

This could make API development much faster and smoother.

This is an interesting direction for building better tools for AI agents.

Can developers see and approve the changes Restless suggests before they go live?

Building recovery guidance directly into error responses is a smart move for AI agents.

Agents reading documentation is going to become its own genre soon.

This is going to make API development a lot smoother than before!

The shift from human-first to agent-first software is going to change how products compete.

APIs that actually learn from their own failures instead of making developers debug everything manually. This is genuinely cool.

Agentic self help groups are the future of documentation

The idea of turning API failures into improvements instead of repeated debugging is really promising. Great work by the Restless team!

Can APIs keep up with AI agents today?

agents dont read docs they just give up lol putting the fix in the error is smart
