Your coding agent is a surgeon doing the paperwork. Opus 5.5 is brilliant. And you're paying it to decide which file to open. Which test to run. Whether to retry. That's not surgery. That's admin. Give the admin to Jev. Keep the surgeon in surgery. Same results. A third... show more

This is a smart way to think about model routing.

Opus 5.5 is still the best for me

the context section is the gold here and has nothing to do with routing. a timestamp at the top of the prompt quietly kills ur cache on every single call

Who decides easy vs hard? That call is the whole game. What rules does Jev use?

Same logic as the manual tax. Pay cheap where it's dumb, pay smart where it counts.

problem is if haiku opens the wrong file it won't tell you, and opus just reasons confidently over the wrong context

把手术刀留给专家,杂事交给AI处理才对

The 80% claim assumes "easy vs hard" is decidable before the work starts. Most bugs look easy until the fix breaks two other tests. Who eats the cost when Jev misroutes?

who is jev

Number 27 is the one I see most. Two agents that share the full context pay twice for the same reading. A short summary is usually enough.

Paying Opus rates to pick which file to open is pure waste fr

Pay frontier prices for an overqualified secretary, checks out. My CoinStats is a Jackson Pollock of losses too but at least the burns are self-inflicted. Stop paying surgeons to file paperwork.

把苦力活交给机器,把脑子留给手术室
