Show us one example of a top athlete who wears wide toed shoes while playing their high intensity, high agility, explosive sport.

As a Structural Integration practitioner I fully agree with everything Paul is saying and most knees, hips, back and shoulder/neck problems originate from your feet being misshaped from improper shoes.

Should look at @TRUElinkswear Everyday casual/golf shoes with wide toe boxes and minimal rise! Great shoes

I don't do everything you recommend, but I love walking bare foot everywhere. Even in woods, its a great feeling. Also I love the ability to just get up and go with minimal fuss and preparation. Half the reason I spend my winter out of Europe is so I don't have to wear shoes!

Crazy part is the more expensive the shoe, the more uncomfortable they are

I wore barefoot shoes for 2+ years in hopes my toes would spread out. They didn’t. However, they did cure the Morton’s Neuroma I was experiencing.

The best way to build strong feet and toes is to Jump Rope barefoot, ask me how I know. 😎

I don’t think I have seen a more insufferable influencer ever since the birth of social media. You basically profit off of fear.

You're correct. We're crippling ourselves and making our toes basically atrophy from lack of use. This is also why so many people have bunions. It's crazy.

Быть можно дельным человеком и думать о красе ногтей: ну то есть сделать гигиенический педикюр, прежде чем снимать видео.

Changed to barefoot years ago. Won't go back to "normal" shoes If you're interested, transition slowly, a few hours per day and go easy on hard pavement. Not for the wide toebox (that's a huge relief), but for the thinner soles. @kneeovertoesguy has great value for money shoes

Being barefoot or wearing minimalist shoes is great when you are on natural, uneven surfaces like grass or sand. Walking on flat surfaces like pavement or an office building floor is a different story. Some arch support could be helpful in that situation.

As a podiatrist I have know what you sat to be true for a long time. Sadly I am unsure if many podiatrusts gave ever considered this.

Wide toe boxed shoes will increase chances of becoming flat footed which can then lead to pf. Solution? Wear a not too narrow not too wide shoe

I've also found that taking the insoles out of the shoes helps a lot. You feel closer to the ground and get a little more width inside the shoe.
