Why don’t you ever ask the question of Do you think This Government are destroying the NHS by failing to protect people by refusing to negotiate with Junior Doctors?

What I’d really appreciate is if the media could stop branding this a pay rise. It’s pay restoration. Are doctors worth 35% less than 15 years ago? If the answer to than is no, then give them what they ask for. As for affording it, it’s a rounding error.

If the country wants quality then it has to pay for it. The UK can’t be a world leader unless it pays for good medical, education and social services. That is where it starts. All the high wages are still in the wrong areas. The foundations have to be there. We are built on sand.

Yes. They’re currently paid the same as cleaners in my part of the country. There’s something fundamentally wrong with that.

Yes. They have been treated shockingly over the past 13 years, and we need them more than ever. This govt is introducing lower qualified/skilled positions, currently paid more, who have no liability, to take the place of Junior Doctors. Dismantling the NHS for private healthcare.

A 35% pay increase on a basic £14 per hour salary still only makes £18.90 per hour! Is that an “outrageous” salary for somebody that you might hope will save your life when you are seriously I’ll? My car mechanic wants £75 per hour to service my car!
