If the real owners of the bridge at night catch all of them, they will know there is an overall rule.

Why are they walking so slowly. Both of them. Its like they've not obtained you before 😂😂😂 If I was on that bridge at that time, I'll be at least jogging, my phone inside my clothe, with 60 'God abegs' per minute. One to cover each second.

I remember one midnight in 2018 I was driving from ago Iwoye to Lagos through Sapade Road. This guy thought I was chasing his car and tracking him. Meanwhile, I was just scared because it's midnight, so I had to move bumper to bumper just to form a convoy. Sometimes people are not after you. They're just scared too 😂😂

The reason why I move closer was because me self dey fear. Make I still con give her space. No ooo

I remember some years back, when I was like 19 or so. It was late, and I was trying to hurry back home. I followed this small path beside an uncompleted building, as per short cut, my phone torch bin dey on coz the place dark. A lady was walking in front of me. I bin dey waka fast fast coz I dey fear, and I wan reach house quick, naim suddenly she turn face me, shout “WHAT???”, I nearly run 😂😂😂 Had to wait a beat for her to go further, before I con rush go my papa house 😂

I do this not for girls only but for everyone. I know how uneasy people can be seeing someone walking behind them. So everyone must declare their intention by either walking slowly to create gaps between them or find way to walk ahead of them.

I think this is what every guy should do when you notice that the lady is uncomfortable... and if you encounter one on the road running from something, try to ask if you can help as well.

Unfortunately, this is normal. Even me as a man will raise my guard up if someone is walking behind me. That's the world we live in, you are not safe anywhere, you don't know who is who, so it's best you be on alert. I remember one time in Nigeria, I was walking back home around that Iyana Iba road...it wasn't so dark due to dim street lights here and there, but it was night time. Anyone that knows Iyana Iba back then knows how dangerous it was especially at night...I don't know how it is now. I saw a lady in front walking as well... meanwhile in front, there were three guys coming towards us. I couldn't see them properly but they wore singlets or so. I noticed the lady in my front slowed her walking steps. I imagined how she must have been feeling. In her front were strangers, behind her was another stranger....and the news of thefts and deaths that had been flying around that time. I was scared too, because these were three random guys and I'm just one person. I still tried to hasten my steps and meet her quickly, then I whispered "let's act like we're walking together." We crossed arms and continued walking then we met those three guys. They casually passed us while gisting among themselves and laughing...it looked like they were returning from a basketball or sports training of some sort. After we walked farther a bit, we stopped holding hands and we laughed. She thanked me and I thanked her too then we walked further a bit before going our separate ways. These things happen a lot among us, consciously or unconsciously. We immediately become more security conscious when we see a stranger or strangers in front of or behind us.

Not only in the night. During the day there are some roads that are quiet and you will find yourself in this situations too.
