And I expect that many Jews are going to start shifting right into the Republican Party, to a place where I've been for a while.... But I think what's happened over the last few decades is that the civil rights movement, in particular, and the left have moved to this woke ideology where it's no longer about colorblindness. It's more about identity groups. And instead of trying to get past racial differences, it's been about accentuating them. And so we've had this whole equity agenda, which is really defined as redistribution from one racial group to another racial group. I think that, for whatever reason, a lot of Jews just hadn't confronted the reality that the left had really changed in this way. I think it goes back to the fact that they thought if we're going to be defining identity groups in this woke way, Jews obviously should be one of these victim groups, but they're waking up to the fact that Jews are not. Jews are in the minds of this woke ideology, just white people with a Jewish background. As a result, they're part of an oppressor class. And I think that a lot of Jewish people who are waking up to this are realizing this is actually a very destructive ideology, and it makes us the bad guys. So I would expect that, again, a lot of Jewish people are waking up to how the left has changed... and I would expect there to be kind of a pilgrimage now of more Jews in America towards the right, as opposed to remaining on the left where they've always been." You don't think that Chicagoans could have benefited from that? We have citizens in this city that have been on the waiting list for affordable housing for years, and migrants have been bumped in front of them. We have people who have been given up to $9,000 a month for housing assistance. That amount of the city of Chicago. We are not am pro black. I am for my marginalized who have been expect us to give up our parks places in our community for others. We're not saying that there's not room here, but what we are saying is that we are not going to step aside for you to accommodate them when you have continued to leave us out of the equation. I'm talking to Governor Pritzker and I'm talking to President Biden and I want you to understand This upcoming political year where the Democratic Party is on the menu, hear me, people of Chicago, of Illinois and of the United States. There are Asian friends who are whose economies are tanking. Americans are about to suffer through higher prices, inflation is the economy is already not looking good. A couple of Jews VS. hundreds of Hamas supporters - I stand in solidarity with Michael and Anastasia and Barbara at Concordia, Shira, Moranne, and all my Jewish brothers and sisters and ALL good-hearted people in the world against intolerance and hatred. Here in Montreal. In Toronto. Everywhere in the world. Against lies and propaganda and people being brainwashed and led astray from the goodness of their souls. I do not hate these people. I feel sorry for them. But this is not about them. This is about US. This is about our morality. I do not compare myself to them. I look in the mirror of my people and overall, I like what I see. I am proud of who we are with our achievements, moral clarity and yes, our imperfections. I encourage all good people to learn the facts. To speak up. To show up. And to stand up to bullies. Let’s not fall for the lies about the North of Ireland. These racist pogroms are taking place largely in loyalist areas and are being driven by reactionary elements of the British settler community. They have inherited the same racist and reactionary politics that have long been used to divide working people. The ruling class has always needed immigration to keep the economy functioning, while simultaneously demonising migrants to create competition and resentment within the working class. The goal is simple: ensure that people’s anger is directed downwards or sideways at those with less power, rather than upwards at those who hold it. Even these numbwits are not dumb enough to blame a whole community for the actions of one man. They are just using it as an excuse to act out all of their racist fantasies that are inherent in all settler colonial communities.

Matt Damon participated in Howard Zinn's great "The People Speak" series, and read out a great speech by Zinn about the importance of civil disobedience, which is as apt today as when he first wrote it in 1970: "I start from the supposition that the world is topsy-turvy, that things are all wrong, that the wrong people are in jail, and the wrong people are out of jail. That the wrong people are in power, and the wrong people are out of power. I start from the supposition that all we have to do is think about the state of the world today, and realize that things are all upside down. If you don't think, if you listen to TV, read scholarly things, you actually begin to think that things are not so bad. Or that just little things are wrong. But you have to get a little detached, and then come back and look at the world, and you are horrified. So we have to start from that supposition—that things are really topsy-turvy. And our topic is topsy-turvy: civil disobedience. As soon as you say the topic is civil disobedience, you are saying our problem is civil disobedience. That is not our problem…. Our problem is civil obedience. This is the correct response to what’s happening to Erika Kirk and what’s happening on the pro-Hamas Eurasianist slop “right.” And if more people have the courage to say this, I’m talking about people who are doing podcasts and who have lots and lots of viewers, we would be in a different place, but because you have a lot of people who are morally bankrupt they remain silent and pretend like that is the high ground. It’s not because your soul is not worth it a check. And if you are silent in the face of evil, that is the same thing as evil itself and God will not hold you blameless. I may not know a lot, but I definitely know that.

Yes, indeed, this is lawlessness by any standard. Even by banana republic standards, this is still lawlessness. Your country has a constitution, it has a government, it has a police service, and it has a ruling party. I am sure you can see that some of the people there are actually wearing ruling party T-shirts. It is lawless regardless of whoever does it. It is an embarrassment to South Africa as a country, what you are doing and what you are encouraging people to do. Your country has an immigration service. If people are in your country illegally, they should be arrested and deported through lawful processes. You do not go around destroying property, tearing down markets, and attacking people. It is illegal regardless of whoever does it. It is not illegal because I have said so. It is illegal because the laws of your country make it so. This is vigilantism, pure and simple, and it is tainting the reputation of South Africa, not only across Africa but across the world. If you have got satellite television in your home, you can see that these actions are being reported everywhere. It is not good for your country. This kind of barbarism undermines the rule of law, fuels division, and damages South Africa’s standing as a constitutional democracy. It is the actions of a few that are tainting the reputation of many. The average South African is not mindless like this. They respect the law, and they respect the fact that among them, in their communities, there are people from other countries. If those people are in the country illegally, you report them and the law takes its course through proper processes of arrest and deportation.
