clarification: by uncapped i mean not capped to 30, a la breath of the wild or the xenoblade games. bayonetta 3 didn’t cap to 30, and had very unstable framerate.

OH MY. OOOOOHHHH. I had no idea. I'm going back to my Hyrule Warriors grind, this is too good. I'm going to need a list of Switch 1 games with uncapped framerates ASAP, this is wayyyyy too good.

Xenoblade 1 on Switch 2 has similar image artifacts to Xenoblade X on Switch 2, but not as egregious. However, the image is softer overall, and there seems to be framerate hitches and traversal stutter almost everywhere. Really disappointing. That's 2-for-2 here.

VRChat PSA: Limiting your framerate can remove almost all the jitter from network synced objects! This clip is switching from 61 capped to ~190 uncapped. 59 fps seems to be the perfect sweet spot for me, but maybe it's different for other people?

Switch version of the Sky demo seems to run great! Load times are still really short and it seems like draw distance was sacrificed over lighting. Frame rate is uncapped and consistently way above 30 on the Switch 2 despite the demo only having a S1 version. Also this happened.

Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity now running at a locked 30fps with no patch on Nintendo Switch 2. This area was TERRIBLE on Switch 1, now all we need is a resolution / 60fps patch before Age of Imprisonment.

Anytime I see someone say something like this, it makes me think of that one glitch in the Switch port of MGS2 that causes the framerate to raise to 60fps only when interacting with a door.

Made a quick video showing the Switch 2 Handheld Boost Mode update for Switch 1 games. On Hellblade, you can see not just the higher resolution, but assets like foliage are much fuller. A very welcome update indeed 🙂

DF Confirms: Nintendo has been lying about the image quality of the clips they show to compare Switch 1 vs Switch 2 differences. Nintendo are FRAUDS!!! This is how I know The Switch 2 was just supposed to be a Switch 1 Pro, Nintendo purposely made the clips of Switch 1 look more washed out because the differences aren't that much different in general, Switch 1 games don't look much different than Switch 2 games. This is also the reason why Mario Kart World is really just a Switch 1 game pushed to the Switch 2 to make it seems like it's a next gen tittle... but we can all that it's not. Nintendo are lying about alot of things here, VRR and now this, we're going to find out that Metroid Prime 4 on the Switch 2 isn't much different than Switch 1 versions and that these 4K 120FPS claims are also lies. #Fraudtendo

Here’s a sped-up version of a full 2hour drawing with RiiDraw on a Switch 1. It’s a tough image without a lot of flat color to use the fill tool with. After 20k pixels, it slows down movement to account for lag frames but there’s an option to turn off if you’re on a Switch 2.

It has been almost a decade since Persona 5 ran in-game on RPCS3 for the very first time. It ran at 0.5 FPS - the attached video is sped up 10x. The physics didn't work at that framerate, so it was impossible to jump to the next platform.
