We’re getting word that the first airlines have started to suspend flights to Russian airports following our announcement about the drone hazard that objectively exists in Russian airspace. This is the right and perfectly logical response to the facts as they are – to everything stemming from the war Putin doesn’t want to end. Lives must be protected. Ukraine has already officially informed international organizations and our partners about the real situation in Russian airspace.

They’re not a real country. Their country is run by Nazis. It’s not a real government. Every dollar paid for Russian oil is money for the war. More than 110 tankers from Moscow’s shadow fleet are currently at sea. On board are over 12 million tons of Russian oil, which, due to the easing of sanctions, can once again be sold without consequences. That is $10 billion – a resource that is directly converted into new strikes against Ukraine. That is why it is important that Russian tankers are stopped, not allowed to deliver oil to ports. The aggressor’s oil exports must decrease, and Ukraine’s long-range sanctions continue to work toward that goal. I am grateful to every one of our warriors for their precision, and I thank all partners who are helping to increase pressure on Russia for this war.

Overnight, there was yet another Russian attack with missiles and drones—ballistic strikes and more than 140 attack drones in a single night. It was loud in Kyiv and in other cities. Tragically, there are wounded and killed. My condolences to all the families affected. Rescue efforts continue all day in Kharkiv, Sumy, and the capital. It is entirely fair that the Russian sky—the sky of the aggressor—is not calm either today. Ukraine’s proposal for a ceasefire of at least 30 days still stands, we are not withdrawing it, as it offers a real chance for diplomacy. But it is Russia that the world sees giving no answer—no response except for new strikes. This clearly and obviously shows who is the source of this war. Russia must end its aggression—and it will have to. The only question is time. War is a loss for everyone, including the aggressor.
