The guy at the wheel was probably on TikTok. It’s happening all over. People just cross the street without a care in the world about incoming cars, they don’t even look. People stand right at the edge of the sidewalk intersection and don’t even consider the possibility of someone not paying attention while driving and swerving into them.

Tankers need those little thumb bells on their handlebars to warn people that a million tons is bearing down on you.
