President Trump’s Saudi Arabia Speech: An End to US Neo Con War Hawk Aggression and a New Era for Saudi Arabia and the Middle East ——————— The speech given by President Trump yesterday in Riyadh by invitation of HRH Mohamed bin Salman was one of the most significant US Presidential speeches of the last 25 years: a shift from the US globalist style policy of aggression and military misadventures to one of peace and prosperity. I feel fortunate to have been there in person to support this vision. The speech and direction for US policy works perfectly with the major reforms and strides that have been made over the last five years in Saudi Arabia under the leadership of HRH Mohammed bin Salman, also known as MBS. MBS has an incredible and bold vision for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and his people. For years he has been executing that vision with massive results. My first trip here was 18 years ago. The changes over this time, especially in the last five years, are striking. Saudi Arabia is using its natural cultural resources, its energy resources and its highly educated and motivated population to build an incredibly successful and diverse economy — all while retaining their national identity and religious and cultural values. This fits perfectly with the vision of President Trump to end the dismally failed US policies of aggression in the Middle East in favor of a rising tide that will lift all boats: a relationship of mutual benefit, not of destruction. It’s time we end the bombs and bullets and replace them with handshakes, deals, cultural exchange and prosperity. Sadly, my country has been responsible for significant problems in this region over the last several decades. Our military aggression cost the lives of over a million Iraqis and thousands of our own troops who died for a non-Constitutional misadventure fueled by the forever war military industrial complex that President Eisenhower warned us about. كلمتي في الحفل الذي أقمتُه باسم السلك الدبلوماسي المعتمد لدى المملكة العربية السعودية بمناسبة اليوبيل الذهبي لصحيفة عرب نيوز، بحضور صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير تركي الفيصل متحدثاً رئيسياً، وبمشاركة السفراء، وعدد من نخبة الإعلاميين والمهتمين بالشأن الثقافي والإعلامي السعودي. كان احتفالاً مميزاً جمع بين الدبلوماسية والإعلام، وأبرز الدور الريادي الذي تضطلع به الصحيفة منذ خمسين عاماً في خدمة الحقيقة وتعزيز جسور الحوار والتواصل. My remarks at the ceremony I hosted on behalf of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, marking the Golden Jubilee of Arab News, with His Royal Highness Prince Turki Al-Faisal as the keynote speaker, in the presence of the Ambassadors, as well as leading figures from Saudi Arabia’s media and cultural community. It was a distinguished celebration that brought together diplomacy and media, highlighting the pioneering role the newspaper has played over the past fifty years in serving truth and strengthening bridges of dialogue and communication.

في الليلةِ الرابعةِ عشرةَ من شهرِ #رمضان سنةَ ١٤٤٧هـ، في المسجدِ الحرامِ بمكةَ المكرمة، وبعد صلاةِ التراويح، تشرفنا بلقاء الشيخ فيصل أحمد الندوي، وحصلنا منه على إجازةِ المسلسلات وجميعِ مروياته، وقرأنا عليه أوائلَ الكتبِ الستة، وذلك برفقة بعض المشايخ من منطقة القصيم بالمملكة العربية السعودية. والحمد لله حصلنا على أعلى إسنادٍ لحديثِ الرحمة على الإطلاق. جزى الله المحدِّثين والعلماء عنا خير الجزاء. On the fourteenth night of the month of Ramadan, 1447 AH, at Al-Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah, after the Taraweeh prayer, we were honored to meet Shaykh Faisal Ahmad Al-Nadwi. We received from him ijazah in the musalsal narrations and all of his other narrations, and we read before him the opening portions of the six major books of Hadith, along with some shuyukh from the Qassim region of Saudi Arabia. Alhamdulillah, we were granted the highest chain of transmission for the Hadith of Mercy. May Allah reward the scholars and Muhaddiseen on our behalf with the best of rewards.
