I deplore today’s strikes on the PRCS-run Al-Amal hospital in the southern #Gaza city of Khan Younis, which severely damaged the Palestine Red Crescent Society training centre located within the hospital complex. My World Health Organization (WHO) and UN Humanitarian colleagues today undertook a mission to the facilities, where they witnessed extensive damage and displacement of civilians The attacks, according to the PRCS, killed at least five civilians, including a 5-day old infant. 14,000 people were sheltering at the hospital in the besieged southern #Gaza city of Khan Younis. Many of them have now left, and those remaining are extremely fearful for their safety and planning to leave a place they had turned to for refuge and protection. Hospitals, ambulances, health workers, and people seeking care must be protected, at all times, under international humanitarian law. Today’s bombardments are unconscionable. Gaza’s health system is already on its knees, with health and aid workers continuously stymied in their efforts to save lives due to the hostilities. I join international calls for an immediate ceasefire, including urgent action to ensure the accelerated and unimpeded flow of food, medical supplies, water and other essential items to millions of civilians forced to live in unspeakable conditions of hunger, disease spread, and lack of hygiene and sanitation. Gazans are still receiving only a fraction of the supplies they had access to before the war, just as only a fraction of Gazans in need of medical evacuation are being evacuated. This is unacceptable in light of the dire humanitarian catastrophe which has unfolded over three months. Indeed, WHO’s movements, particularly in northern Gaza and increasingly in the south, have been severely impeded by the ongoing violence inside Gaza. Our operations are further impeded when essential local partners, like the PRCS, are themselves needlessly impacted by the strikes. This on top of widespread deaths, suffering and decimation of homes, roads and other infrastructure across this tiny coastal strip of land. If the conditions for a cease-fire in hostilities have not been met by now, I do not know what it will take. WHO reiterates that health must never be a target during conflicts, and all effort must be taken to protect health facilities, health workers, and patients.

Brothers and sisters of Ireland, 🇮🇪 We gather not in silence, but in strength. We gather not in hate, but in hope. And we gather not to divide, but to demand. For the past number of days, our country has been brought to a standstill. Not by chaos without cause, but by people pushed to the edge. Farmers, workers, drivers, families, ordinary Irish people have taken to the roads, to the streets, to the gates of this nation’s lifelines because the cost of simply living has become too much to bear. They are not there for attention. They are there because they cannot afford not to be. Fuel prices have surged to unsustainable levels, driven by global crises and policies beyond the control of ordinary people. And yet, it is the ordinary people who are expected to carry the burden. They tell us support has been given. They tell us measures are in place. They tell us to be patient. But patience does not fill a tank. Patience does not keep a business alive. Patience does not put food on the table. Across Ireland, roads have been blocked, cities brought to a halt, and supply lines disrupted. Fuel depots, ports, even the country’s only oil refinery have been targeted in protest. Not out of malice but out of desperation. And now we see the response. The government condemns the protests. They speak of disruption, of law and order, of consequences. They warn of penalties and even bring in the Defence Forces to assist. But where was this urgency before? Where was this response when people were crying out for help? We ask not for chaos. We ask not for division. We ask for fairness. We ask for a government that listens before the country grinds to a halt. We ask for action before people are forced onto the streets to be heard. Because let us be clear: These protests did not appear out of nowhere. They are the result of years of pressure, rising costs, and people feeling ignored. You, in government, we ask you now!! Why does it take nationwide disruption before you listen? Why are workers and families pushed to breaking point before action is taken? Why must people blockade their own country just to be heard? We are not extremists. We are not criminals. We are citizens. And we are pissed of being ignored. ⭕️A Doctor’s Testimony from Iran, Recorded One Week After the Internet Shutdown and the Issuance of Kill Orders: Video translation: Greetings to the honourable people of Iran. My name is Dr Yaser Rahmani-Rad. I am a resident in Internal Medicine. As I explained in my previous video, which I uploaded to Instagram before the internet shutdown, I raised several key points. I stated that attacks on hospitals, attacks on medical centres, attacks on protesters and injured individuals receiving treatment in hospitals, and the abduction of those patients are, according to medical conventions and conventions governing the conduct of medical services during conflict, equivalent to crimes against humanity and war crimes. This is exactly what we are witnessing in Iran at present. During this past week, in which the internet has been almost entirely cut off, the reports provided to me by my team and the figures we have received regarding those killed are far, far higher than what you might imagine. Our initial estimate placed the number somewhere between 20,000 and 30,000 people. After that initial assessment, we effectively lost nationwide communication. As I mentioned before, I have a response team, but unfortunately, due to the internet shutdown, our communications were severely disrupted, and we were unable to provide assistance in the way that was needed. Nevertheless, within our limited capacity and through individuals who had previously saved our contact details, we attempted to help as much as possible via phone calls and whatever means were available to us. However, the situation has now worsened because security forces have taken control of hospitals. Every injured person who enters a hospital is identified and registered, and after being discharged, they are tracked using hospital CCTV footage, which is under the control of security forces. These individuals are then arrested at their homes. As they themselves have acknowledged, this constitutes both a war crime and a crime against humanity. The second issue is that by cutting off the internet, medical and emergency assistance to many protesters has been halted entirely. In numerous cases, even with the limited telephone communications we still have, we have tried to assist protesters to the best of our ability, but we have faced extremely serious obstacles. For example, one of our mobile emergency response teams was attacked. All of their equipment was confiscated in Tehran by plainclothes security forces and Basij units. This has significantly reduced our level of preparedness. Even our medical supplies, including antibiotics and other treatment equipment, were seized. This has occurred in at least two documented cases: one in Tehran and one in Shiraz. I want to emphasise once again that hospitals are under the control of security forces. I will try to speak calmly, but in closing I must repeat this clearly: hospitals are unfortunately under security control, and this is one of our most serious challenges. Injured protesters are afraid to go to hospitals due to the risk of arrest, especially public hospitals. However, private hospitals are not safe either; they are also under pressure, and many private hospitals have likewise been taken over by security forces. We have access to only a very limited number of private hospitals, and only for absolutely emergency cases where immediate intervention is required. Even so, the scale of repression being carried out is vastly greater than the medical assistance that people like myself are able to provide. Our capacity is extremely limited. Finally, I want to address the security forces directly. History moves forward. These days will also pass. You were meant to be accountable to the people of Iran, yet you failed in that responsibility. Not only did you fail, but you consciously acted in direct opposition to your duty. Another week has ended without any attempt by Russia to agree to the numerous demands of the world and stop the killings. In just the past 24 hours on the front, there have been 137 combat engagements, and this is the case every day. The Russian army is not reducing its pressure. Nor does it count its losses. In particular, in the area of responsibility of just one of our units – the 32nd Separate Mechanized Brigade in the Donetsk region, in the Pokrovsk sector – 209 occupiers were eliminated in the week between August 4 and 10. And this is the result of only one of our brigades. Ukrainian warriors are taking active measures, defending positions, and in every area of hostilities – even in the most difficult ones – there are results Ukraine needs. We are holding our positions, and we are doing everything to destroy or drive out the occupier. Over this same period – the past week – the Russians have used more than a thousand aerial bombs and nearly 1,400 attack drones against Ukraine. Missile strikes also continue. We are defending the lives of our people and strengthening our air defenses. This is what the situation in the war looks like. And the situation in diplomacy must correspond accordingly. Russia is dragging out the war, and therefore it deserves stronger global pressure. Russia refuses to stop the killings, and therefore must not receive any rewards or benefits. And this is not just a moral position – it is a rational one. Concessions do not persuade a killer. But truly strong protection of life stops the killers. NSW Health Minister Ryan Park updated the public on the incident of the NSW Healthcare workers seen on video claiming to have killed Israeli Australian patients that come to their hospital. The minister gave assurances to the community, said the workers will be sacked, and never work within the NSW healthcare system again subject to an investigation confirming the contents of the video. The hospital is also under review, to establish if there is a history of such incidents, as concerns grow in the community for the safety of patients attended to by these two heath-care workers. " Those people subject to that investigation will not ever be working for New South Wales Health again. There is no place, no place in our hospital and health system for this sort of view to ever, ever take place. There is no place for this sort of perspective in our society. But hospitals are different in the fact that every single Australian and every single resident of this state should be able to go to their local hospital when they need care and attention and get high quality care that is safe and effective. Messages and pleas are pouring in. People need help with transportation South, with shelter, with basic necessities. Patients in hospitals are being prematurely discharged because of capacity, amputees with no wheelchairs out on the streets. Families are walking barefoot more than 13 miles / 21 kilometers with no belongings just to escape the bombs. How will they all leave? Who will take them South? Where will they all go? There is no land and no shelter. For the past month we have been preparing for this moment, at the same time hoping it never would come. The Sameer Project secured 4 more parcels of land, more tents for the land, and are working on making them suitable to move to with bathrooms, fencing, and electricity. But of course we cannot help everyone. With over 1 million people in the North we have to triage the most severe medical cases and vulnerable families. Because of the scarcity of available resources everything is incredibly expensive: fuel for vehicles, renting trucks, tents, the land itself, food and water for the displaced. The essential needs are endless. We estimate that we will need $750,000 to open the additional camps and to aid in the response to the displacement. With the ceasefire signed and goods promised to enter Gaza, we are still waiting for one of the most important aid items: MEDICATION. More than 70% of types of medication are not available in Gaza. What is available is difficult to find and expensive for patients that have no income or means to pay. At the Refaat Alareer Camp we have some of the most serious medical cases, that should be in hospitals, but because of overcrowding they are discharged to tents. Requests for medical help come in daily. The occupation’s attacks on the healthcare system has rendered all hospitals only partially functioning and clinics have been destroyed. We saw this need for supplemental medical care and we stepped up with your help. It cost approximately $20,000 per month to keep just one of our medical points stocked with gauze, bandages, medicine, saline, IV’s, and other necessities. Nebulizer machines, blood pressure equipment, oximeters, secretion suction machines, are all added costs. Many of our patients need hard to find treatment for seizures like Keppra. And we supply it all to them for free to aid in their rehabilitation and maintenance. We need your help supporting the sick and the injured in Gaza. I know the person who caused the decay. The person whose wife stole the whole of Natpham masquerading as a health ambassador is the one responsible for the decay we see today. The orchestrator of Draxgate, who is in state house today around the president, is hugely to blame for the collapse of our Healthcare system. She, and her accomplices are responsible for the sudden drying up of medicines in government and former mission hospitals. The running of Mission hospitals was taken over by the cartel. Natpham, as we speak today, is only supplying donated condoms and family planning tablets to government and former mission hospitals. Our hospitals are now involved in a very sad population reduction matrix in which they're central to ensuring that every person admitted to these centres dies and that no new babies are born, hence the central role in distribution of contraceptives. There hasn't been any deliveries of any kind of sensible medication throughout all the government hospitals for the past 8 months, only donated family planning tablets and condoms. No bandages, no painkillers, nothing! Our population as a country is going to go down drastically in the next 5 years through deaths that aren't matched with our procreation rate. The situation is made worse by the drug scourge being facilitated by the same cartel. Our youngsters are too drugged to procreate. It's a national disaster! That's the work of the Draxgate kingpins. They're looting the telecommunications health tax, the sugar tax and all other taxes collected every month in the name of Healthcare. There is no investment towards the health of the nation. They pocket $50 000 a day from one roadside ambulance. That's a cool $1.5 million per month from just one ambulance parked along highways to wait for accidents to happen. The irony is that the $50k a day ambulances are waiting to pick up accident victims to hospitals without even bandages. The victims bleed to death in a $50k hired ambulance. Some die as soon as they get to these hospitals crying out for painkillers. I know the people who have killed the Healthcare system in my country. They pocket $50 000 a day from one roadside ambulance. That's a cool $1.5 million per month from just one ambulance parked along highways to wait for accidents to happen. The irony is that the $50k a day ambulances are waiting to pick up accident victims to hospitals without even bandages. The victims bleed to death in a $50k hired ambulance.
