The Green Electric Bus Command and Control Center Punjab has started operations. This center serves as the hub for monitoring and managing the entire bus system. From here, every bus is monitored to ensure timely arrivals and departures, improved routes, and reduced waiting times for passengers. Drivers are monitored through onboard cameras and advanced AI systems, and if a driver shows signs of drowsiness or inattention, they are immediately alerted. Special attention is being given to the women’s compartments to ensure they are protected from harassment and can travel safely and without fear. Travel is now cashless and paperless through T-Cash cards. This system helps continuously improve services using data. Steps are also being taken to protect the environment by shifting towards solar energy, while safe and comfortable travel, especially for women, children, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities remains a top priority. This is clean, economical, safe, and modern public transport for Punjab.

Established in 2017, the center helps participants maintain or improve their ability to self-care while providing social, health, and nutritional services within a safe, engaging environment..” The center received several violations as recently as July 2024. Unfortunately, I’m still trying to determine how much funding this warehouse-like facility receives from Minnesota DHS.

I went to the local Drag Queen Storytime, so you didn't have to. I wanted to see who was putting on the event & funding it. I met Eli from Parasol Patrol & Clark from the Arvada Center. Clark claims that this was funded by the Arvada Center Non-profit & NOT tax dollars. However, that's not entirely true. They DO receive public funds via tax dollars! The Arvada Center for the Arts & Humanities (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Arvada, Colorado) receives public funds. Its primary public funding sources include: •Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD): This is a voter-approved regional sales tax district (0.1% tax) across seven Colorado counties that distributes public tax dollars to arts, culture, and science organizations. The Arvada Center is a Tier II SCFD-funded organization and has received major funding from it—for example, about 9% of its revenue in FY24. It actively supports SCFD reauthorization and is listed among SCFD’s funded partners. •City of Arvada: The Center has a longstanding public partnership with the City of Arvada (it originated as a city-supported initiative). The city is explicitly listed among its key supporters on the Center’s website, alongside SCFD. Historical records and position descriptions reference ongoing relationships and city involvement. Yesterday, alongside the Executive Commissioner, Technical Services, Engr. Abraham Oshadame, and staff of the ncc.gov.ng, Lagos Zonal Office, I received a delegation of stakeholders from Nigeria’s creative industry — filmmakers, musicians, facilitators, investors, and others — on a courtesy visit. The engagement offered an opportunity for open and constructive conversation around the intersection of telecommunications and the creative economy, particularly on issues of online safety, service quality, data usage, intellectual property protection, and digital monetisation. Having worked closely within the creative ecosystem over the last decade, I understand both the opportunities and the challenges that come with building, protecting, and scaling creative value in a digital environment. Nigeria’s creative industry continues to play a significant role in shaping culture, driving economic value, and projecting our global relevance. As a Commission, we recognise the importance of fostering an environment where innovation is supported, content is protected, and creators are empowered to thrive within a fair and sustainable digital ecosystem. Much was said, and we agreed that much remains to be done. We left with a shared commitment to work together in a meaningful and mutually beneficial way — to grow both industries, beginning with the convening of a stakeholders’ meeting with our operators — and to protect our critical national infrastructure, promote safe and responsible digital use, and positively project our country as best as possible. Yesterday, alongside the Executive Commissioner, Technical Services, Engr. Abraham Oshadame, and staff of the ncc.gov.ng, Lagos Zonal Office, I received a delegation of stakeholders from Nigeria’s creative industry — filmmakers, musicians, facilitators, investors, and others — on a courtesy visit. The engagement offered an opportunity for open and constructive conversation around the intersection of telecommunications and the creative economy, particularly on issues of online safety, service quality, data usage, intellectual property protection, and digital monetisation. Having worked closely within the creative ecosystem over the last decade, I understand both the opportunities and the challenges that come with building, protecting, and scaling creative value in a digital environment. Nigeria’s creative industry continues to play a significant role in shaping culture, driving economic value, and projecting our global relevance. As a Commission, we recognise the importance of fostering an environment where innovation is supported, content is protected, and creators are empowered to thrive within a fair and sustainable digital ecosystem. Much was said, and we agreed that much remains to be done. We left with a shared commitment to work together in a meaningful and mutually beneficial way — to grow both industries, beginning with the convening of a stakeholders’ meeting with our operators — and to protect our critical national infrastructure, promote safe and responsible digital use, and positively project our country as best as possible.
