Our Sun and Earth have finally calmed down and we are back to low level solar storms and some minor fast solar wind. Here is a nice 4-day view of the Sun from SUVI in 284 Angstroms with the latest GONG magnetic field line model overlay. Old region 4274 is still up to its tricks, firing off the last big flare before rotating off the west limb, and later, launching another storm on the farside! For us, right now we are still getting a little fast wind from a northern coronal hole but that will wane over the next 24 hours. Expect another pocket of fast wind from the coronal hole passing center disk to arrive in about 3 to 4 days. Outside of that, conditions are reasonably calm Earthside, even with the new regions rotating into view in the southeast. Cannot say the same for the farside though!

President of Ukraine: We will work calmly with the US and all our partners. There will be a constructive search for solutions with our main partner. We will definitely not give the enemy any reason to say that Ukraine does not want peace, that it is disrupting the process, and that Ukraine is not ready for diplomacy. This is the dignity and freedom of Ukrainians, because everything else is based on this: our sovereignty, our independence, our land, our people, and Ukraine's future. We will and must do everything we can to ensure that in the end, there is an end to the war and not an end to Ukraine, Europe, and global peace. I have just spoken with Europeans, and we are counting on our European friends, who understand that Russia is not far away, that it is close to the EU's borders, and that Ukraine is now the only shield separating comfortable European life from Putin's plans. We remember that Europe was with us, and we believe that Europe will be with us. Ukraine should not experience déjà vu of February 24, when we felt that we were alone, when no one could stop Russia except our heroic people, who stood as a wall against Putin's army. And we were certainly very pleased when the world said, "Ukrainians are incredible. God, how Ukrainians fight, how Ukrainians struggle, what titans they are." And that is absolutely true. But Europe and the whole world must understand another truth - that Ukrainians are, first and foremost, people. And for almost four years of full-scale invasion, we have been holding back one of the largest armies in the world, and we are holding a front line of several thousand kilometers. And every night, our people endure shelling, missile attacks, ballistic missile and Shaded strikes. And every day, our people lose someone close to them. And our people really, really want this war to end. We are, of course, made of steel, but even the strongest metal can give way. Don't forget that. Stand with Ukraine, stand with our people. I informed Rob Jetten Rob Jetten about the situation on the battlefield and about the Russian attacks that do not stop for a single day. We need stable, steady support every day while the war continues. The Netherlands demonstrates exactly the kind of support that works most effectively – a predictable annual volume of €3 billion each year. The Netherlands is also investing in the PURL initiative, which is critical for us and allows us to purchase air defense missiles. It is important that we are producing weapons together with the Netherlands – and we will certainly continue and expand this joint work. This is also provided for in the joint statement we adopted today. We discussed this in detail during the meeting – investments, licenses, and possible production volumes. Distinguished Guests, This day is not merely the anniversary of a political transformation; it also marks the beginning of a new chapter. We have left behind the chapter of war and embarked upon a new path—one in which Afghanistan, under unified leadership and within an Islamic system, is confidently moving toward the implementation of Islamic Sharia, strengthening its independent decision-making, consolidating lasting stability, pursuing reconstruction and economic growth, and expanding relations with the international community on the basis of mutual respect. We are confident that this new chapter and the strengthened peace in Afghanistan are not only in the interest of the Afghan people, but also serve the shared interests and needs of the region and the wider world. A peaceful and stable Afghanistan creates significant opportunities for regional connectivity, economic cooperation, and collective security, and can play a constructive role in strengthening peace and prosperity across the region. Our region is among the most promising parts of the world in terms of its potential for growth, connectivity, and economic cooperation. If we manage our shared geographic advantages wisely, Afghanistan can play its historic role as a natural bridge between Central and South Asia, opening new opportunities for trade, transit, investment, and energy cooperation. We firmly believe that the stability of Afghanistan is inseparable from the stability of the region, and the prosperity of the region is closely linked to the prosperity of Afghanistan. Ladies and Gentlemen, In Afghanistan’s foreign policy vision, our neighbours hold the first and most important place. Geography has made us neighbours, but our shared history, common faith and culture, centuries-old trade relations, and the family and social ties connecting millions of people have created bonds between us that cannot be easily separated. These deep ties call for mutual respect, shared interests, and a shared commitment to our common future. For this reason, we do not view our neighbours merely as countries of the region; rather, we consider them natural partners in our shared future prosperity. Based on this vision, Afghanistan seeks relations with all its neighbours, particularly Pakistan, founded on mutual respect, equality of sovereignty, non-interference in each other’s internal affairs, and the pursuit of shared interests. We believe that an atmosphere of trust cannot be created through pressure or force. It can only be built through understanding, sustained dialogue, and sincere cooperation. These are principles that are fully consistent with the guidance of Islamic Sharia, the directives of His Excellency the Amir-ul-Momineen, the accepted principles of international relations, and the enduring values of good neighbourly relations. Distinguished Guests, History has shown us that occasional differences between neighbouring countries are natural. However, such differences should not become a reason for greater distance. Rather, during times of disagreement, the path of dialogue, mutual respect, and political wisdom should be pursued. We believe that every challenge, when addressed with sincerity and goodwill, can become a new opportunity to build trust and expand cooperation. This perspective forms the foundation of Afghanistan’s relations with its neighbours and guides our approach to regional affairs. In our view, lasting and sustainable security can only be achieved when there is a shared commitment to mutual trust, sincere cooperation, practical coordination, and respect for each other’s legitimate concerns. The stronger the trust between us, the stronger the foundations of peace, stability, and prosperity throughout our region will become. South Africa appreciates the report on the state of peace and security on our continent, and remains concerned about worsening conditions of conflict, war and instability on our continent. South Africa reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the vision of a peaceful, prosperous and integrated Africa as articulated in #Agenda2063. As we meet here, a number of African countries are currently under suspension from our Union due to Unconstitutional Changes of Government (UCGs), thus reverses democratic gains and development of our continent. The slow transition to constitutional order by the suspended countries is of concern. There must be demonstrable and comprehensive political engagement to assist any suspended country to navigate their respective transitions successfully and speedily; and to ensure they do not slide back into conflict. The situation in Sudan remains of concern to us all. We reiterate our call for all warring parties to lay down their arms immediately, allow unfettered humanitarian access and, most importantly, embark on an inclusive national political dialogue as the only way towards a sustainable resolution. With respect to the recent political and security developments in South Sudan, the situation is concerning. We call for a ceasefire in all affected states and urge all stakeholders to engage in an all-inclusive dialogue that will pave the way for free, inclusive and credible elections to end the long transition. South Africa, together with other C5 Members and members of IGAD is hosting a C5 Plus Summit here in Addis Ababa to consolidate South Sudan peace. There is a need for pragmatism and for an honest assessment of the minimum conditions required to conduct free, inclusive and credible elections, while acknowledging that certain processes may necessarily extend beyond the lifespan of the Revitalised Agreement for the South Africa is concerned about the prevailing security and humanitarian situation in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, despite several mediation and peace processes. We reiterate that the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the DRC must be upheld and respected. We condemn the continued capture of territories by the M23/AFC in the Kivu and Ituri provinces. Such unlawful actions must be corrected decisively. South Africa has assumed the role of the Regional Oversight Mechanism for the DRC and the Region, and during our tenure we will work with all signatory countries to the Framework to find a durable solution to this protracted conflict.

Thank you for the recognition Paul Azunre WE 3Farmate SPENT YEARS BUILDING A MACHINE THAT CAN REVOLUTIONIZE FARMING IN AFRICA AND BEYOND THROUGH ADVANCED AI and AUTOMATION THAT CAN WORK IN DIVERSE FARM ENVIRONMENTS, turning everyday tasks into seamless workflows while enabling produce growers to focus on what matters most. Beyond the mere automation of agriculture, our robot integrates several AI technologies to make farming intelligent, accurate, and productive but it seems a lot of people do not fully grasp what it takes to program a fully functioning agricultural robot, which is the first of its kind in the history of our country. It has taken us years to master the intricate and highly technical processes of teaching a robot how to see and understand its environment. Teaching a robot to spray a weed without touching a crop is not easy. It takes pixel-level precision and a staggering, painstaking number of years of complex annotation to get it right. We have failed many more times trying to get it right than we have trying to convince people that, with the right funding, we cannot just build farm machines but also have the capacity to engineer advanced technologies that can be applied across multiple industries. Come to think of it—how many industrial machines are we manufacturing locally and producing for export? With the engineering of our farm robot (FAMA), which is market-ready for deployment on farmlands, we are demonstrating that Ghanaian engineers have what it takes to transform our industry and make Africa a competitive, self-sustaining hub of innovation and manufacturing. There is no country that has truly developed in its fullest sense without a strong foundation in engineering. We are leveraging computer vision, edge computing, and real-time data processing to drive sustainable farming. A lot of people who sat on the sidelines of our history, waiting to see how young people like us would push our brand visibility, have done themselves a great disservice. Those who reposted, liked, and shared our content have helped amplify our story and have contributed to shaping the future of agriculture through AI. I did promise since last year that we would bring agriculture and food systems to center stage at COP28, and here we are! Celebrating together, a MILESTONE MOMENT IN HISTORY for food systems and agriculture at a COP in the first session. I'm happy to confirm that COP28 UAE Declaration on Sustainable Agriculture, Resilient Food Systems, and Climate Action has so far received 134 endorsements from heads of state and government. With these countries on board, we cover more than 5.7 billion people and 70% of all the food we eat. The signatories of the declaration are home to nearly 500 million farmers and represent 75% of all emissions from global food systems. To support the funding and innovation part of the declaration, it gives me great pleasure to announce a significant funding partnership with a very dear partner to the UAE. The partnership will focus on agricultural research and development and scaling up innovations, which is so desperately needed to adapt food systems to the growing threats of climate change. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, together with the UAE, will fund a total sum of… 200 million US dollars of new investments into food and ag research and scaling up innovations. With the majority of this investment flowing into the CGIAR network, the UAE is delighted to become a core partner of the CGIAR System Council and support its work. A big thank you to all the countries who have endorsed the declaration and contributed to this watershed moment for the food and climate agenda. I will sign a security pact between Lebanon and the United States, because the United States is the only real influence on Israel. I want to pursue peace. Today, the United States has an excellent relationship with Syria and President Sharaa, and it also maintains an excellent relationship with Israel. If I am positioned between these two countries, then, as far as I am concerned, it is in my interest for the United States to accept me as a member of its regional security coalition. In that case, the whole region could live more peacefully and securely. This would be my first request. Once we achieve that, the government must do its own work in terms of reforms—supporting legislation and implementing necessary changes. To ensure this flame remains a floodlight, the Mariners are launching the Steelheads Community Fund—a $500,000 commitment to support local Black baseball and softball organizations and provide funding for community initiatives The spirit of 1946 is returning to the center of the diamond. Today marks the 200-day countdown to this year's BTCHEL WEEK and thus we start to push the momentum for real.
