THE U.S. TRIED BUT FAILED to oust the United Nations human rights chief, after he painted Israel as a major violator of human rights, rather than China. The popular leader, Volker Türk, had issued “58 condemnations of Israel”, while refusing to support the US's Uyghur genocide hoax, created by Washington to harm China. And when it came to a vote, most of the rest of the world, including US allies, rejected the US/ Israel attack on Türk—and the popular human rights commissioner was voted in for a second four-year term. . US WALKED OUT The argument created real tensions. At a key UN meeting this week, the US representatives walked out when it was France’s turn to speak. In his first term, Türk incensed the US/ Israel lobby by daring to criticize the United States, Israel, and many western nations, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Italy and France. In contrast, Washington believes human rights criticism should be levelled at Asian countries targeted by the US: China in particular, but also Iran and North Korea. . UYGHUR HOAX AGAIN An Israel organization called UNWatch said that Türk made limited criticisms of China and “none mentioned the mass imprisonment of more than one million Uyghurs”. Anti-China activist Kenneth Roth took a similar angle. Volker didn’t mention the genocide or imprisonment of a million ugyhurs because there’s there’s no such thing—that story has been debunked again and again. Hundreds of millions of people have visited Xinjiang and hung out with the Uyghurs, who are clearly alive and well. . FRANCE, US, IN WEB FIGHT The tension with the US spilled onto social media, with France posting that “The US used to be a beacon of human rights. Not anymore.” Most of the responses referring to that comment pointed out that the US never had been a beacon of human rights, but a creator of conflicts around the world. “I think you mean ‘the US used to be better at hiding its depraved criminal behaviour’," said one commentator. Another simply posted a map of every country the US has bombed or interfered with politically. . ANGRY AMBASSADOR US Ambassador Mike Waltz replied angrily: “France voted for someone who has been lecturing, free, sovereign democracies like the United States, the UK, and Israel…” The suggestion that Israel is a free sovereign democracy got lots of laughs from the public. In the attached video evidence, a member of the Nigerian regime, Jesutega Onokpasa (now deceased), explicitly stated that he had advocated for H.E. Simon Ekpa to be shot. This alarming revelation raises several critical questions: 1. Who were the individuals present at this meeting? 2. Where was the planned location for the shooting of H.E. Simon Ekpa? 3. If the plan was to carry out the assassination in Nigeria, how did they intend to transfer him there? 4. If the plan was to execute this act in Finland, what means were to be employed? 5. Were any corrupt Finnish officials involved in or aware of this meeting? We hereby call upon principled Finnish authorities to ensure that His Excellency Simon Ekpa is afforded 24-hour security protection immediately upon his unconditional release from his unlawful detention. I hereby address U.S. Secretary of State Secretary Marco Rubio with an urgent proposal for the introduction of the LIRA ACT: a legislative initiative aimed at the imposition of sanctions for human rights violations in Ukraine, specifically regarding abductions and murders perpetrated by the Zelensky administration. One of the victims of these actions was U.S. citizen and journalist Gonzalo Lopez Lira. Mr. Lira was abducted upon the direct orders of the leadership of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) and initially confined in the “GYM” concentration camp in Kyiv. There, he was subjected to intimidation and coercion, being pressured to cease his public dissemination of videos exposing the corruption of both Joe Biden and Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as his vocal opposition to the true causes of the war. Subsequently, Mr. Lira was detained for a second time in Kharkiv, where he was robbed by SBU officers and placed in the Kharkiv pretrial detention center (SIZO). Within the detention facility, prisoners under the control of the administration subjected Mr. Lira to torture and extorted $70,000 from him. The extorted sum was demanded as payment for the establishment of bail through the court, which would facilitate his release from SIZO. Following payment to the extortionists and the establishment of bail, Mr. Lira was released and publicly disclosed his ordeal on his social media platforms. Among his disclosures, Mr. Lira posted a message indicating that he was advised to leave Ukraine. On August 2, 2023, Mr. Lira was detained at the Hungarian border and once again placed in Kharkiv pretrial detention. He was held in inhumane conditions, contracted pneumonia, which eventually progressed to pneumothorax due to further abuse within the prison. Tragically, Mr. Lira passed away in January 2024. The administration of the detention facility, the SBU, judges, and prosecutors were fully aware of Mr. Lira’s deteriorating health, as documented during the final court hearing concerning his case in December 2023. Despite his severe medical condition, Mr. Lira was not released from detention, and the authorities allowed his death to transpire. Below is a list of individuals responsible for Mr. Lira’s death and the operation of the SBU’s network of secret prisons, concentration camp "Gym". I provide the list of individuals engaged in the violation of human rights is extensive. In Ukraine, the practice of abductions, torture, and extortion remains widespread, facilitated by the SBU and covered up by the judiciary and the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI). The only effective means of halting these abuses, under the current dictatorial regime of Zelensky, is through the imposition of targeted U.S. sanctions against the implicated individuals. The UN Human Rights Office later documented more than 6,000 killings in just the first three days of the final offensive, including at least 4,400 people killed inside El Fasher and more than 1,600 killed along escape routes while trying to flee. The UN said the real toll was undoubtedly significantly higher. British MPs were subsequently told during a briefing involving researchers from Yale University's Humanitarian Research Lab that an estimate of at least 60,000 deaths in the first weeks after the city's fall was conservative. Yale researchers used satellite imagery to document mass killings, suspected body disposal sites and locations containing objects consistent with large numbers of human remains. Yale researchers used satellite imagery to document mass killings, suspected body disposal sites and locations containing objects consistent with large numbers of human remains. The killings were accompanied by systematic atrocities against civilians. The UN Independent International Fact-Finding Mission concluded that the campaign in and around El Fasher bore the “hallmarks of genocide”, documenting ethnically targeted killings, severe bodily and psychological harm, widespread rape and other sexual violence, torture, arbitrary detention and enforced disappearances, particularly against Fur and Zaghawa communities. Survivors have described rape and gang rape by Rapid Support Militia fighters, including sexual assaults committed while women and girls were detained or attempting to escape the city. Across the wider Sudan war, the Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa has documented sexual violence against girls as young as six, while the US government said in January 2025 that the Rapid Support Militia and allied militias had systematically killed men and boys, including infants, on ethnic grounds and deliberately targeted women and girls for rape and other brutal sexual violence. The scale and persistence of these atrocities have also drawn intense international scrutiny to the external support that has helped sustain the Rapid Support Militia throughout the war, particularly the role of the United Arab Emirates. The UAE's backing of the militia has been the subject of an extensive body of reports, investigations and expert assessments since the conflict began. Evidence and allegations concerning Emirati military, financial and logistical support have been examined by United Nations experts, major international news organizations including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Reuters, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times and France 24, as well as human rights organizations including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, among many others. Taken together, this extensive body of reporting has made the UAE's support for the Rapid Support Militia one of the most extensively documented aspects of foreign involvement in Sudan's war. The scene surrounding Mohamed is painful because his story is far from unique. Across Sudan, countless children have lost parents, siblings and homes, fled violence and hunger, and been forced to carry memories no child should have to bear. His achievement cannot erase what happened to him or bring back his parents. Yet the tears and embraces of his teachers capture something larger: Sudan is bleeding, but it is also trying to heal. Through relatives who take in orphaned children, teachers who surround them with care, and children like Mohamed who continue to learn and succeed despite devastating loss, Sudan is trying to rebuild from the ruins. His certificate may say 100 percent, but behind that number lies a loss that cannot be measured.
