The American BGM makes it very clear that this is an assassination attempt and she is fighting for her life. 😱 The Japanese BGM makes me think I'm at a hotel reception receiving greetings from a nice lady who is going to tell me which room I'm in and give me my keycard. 🙃

@BATTLE_ATHLETE Currently most American anime fans would dislike the original music being altered like this. However, this might be the only instance where it worked out really well. The localization team had an extremely good taste in music lol.

当時映画館まで見に行った者としては断然日本版派🇯🇵 ストIIと言えば愛しさと切なさと心強さとだし、クライマックスのベガvsリュウ、ケンもこの曲使われててリュウ、ケンターンに入る時の曲の入り方がカッコ良すぎる

I watched this 100 times when I was a kid. Street Fighter, Ninja Scroll and Samurai Showdown were three of my fav 90s anime that i grew up on.

マジでBGMの違いエグい😂 日本版とアメリカ版で印象こんなに変わるなんて 同じアニメなのに別物になるの面白いわ〜

Crazy to me in this Japanese, uncut version they say that Vega/Balrog was arrested and hauled off to jail. For years I just figured he was dead.

The original one honestly seems more fitting, because sure the American soundtrack makes it more action packed, but the original plays out the scene how it is. Chun-Li was fighting for her life and losing, all she knew at this moment was that this could’ve been her final fight.
