On the eve of Teachers' Day, I paid my heartfelt tribute today to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan at Dhanadhanya Auditorium. I also extended my sincere respect to all the teachers and educators who have illuminated our lives with knowledge for generations. I am proud to have acknowledged the extraordinary contributions of 73 teachers in the field of education in Bengal at this grand event by presenting them with the 'Siksha Ratna' award. Additionally, 12 schools in the State were honoured as 'Sera Vidyalaya' for their overall excellence in academics and sports. Today, we also honoured 387 meritorious students who secured a place in the merit lists of this year's Madhyamik, Higher Secondary, Alim, Fazil, High-Madrasah, ICSE, ISC, CBSE (Class 10 and 12), Joint Entrance, and Vocational examinations. This included meritorious tribal and Scheduled Caste students, who were also felicitated. I once again extend my best wishes to all of them. Our 'Ma-Mati-Manush' government has introduced various scholarships and other benefits so that the students of Bengal don't have to worry about their education. 93 lakh girls are now part of the. โ€˜Kanyashreeโ€™ program. We have provided approximately Rs. 16,000 crore to these girls under this programme. More than 1.25 crore scholarships have been given to tribal and scheduled caste students under โ€˜Shikkhashreeโ€™ scheme. Under 'Aikyashree' and other minority scholarships, approximately 4.56 crore scholarships have been provided to minority students at a cost of Rs. 9,747 cr. About 40,000 minority students have also received Rs. 316 crore in educational loans. 6.65 lakh scholarships have been given to OBC students under the โ€˜Medhashreeโ€™ program. 36.55 lakh students have received Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship. 53 lakh students have received smartphones under 'Taruner Swapna' at a cost of Rs. 5,300 crore. We have already distributed more than 1.38 crore bicycles under โ€˜Sabooj Sathiโ€™ with a total cost of approximately Rs. 4,730 crore. The distribution of bicycles has started this year as well, and an additional 12.50 lakh students will receive them at a cost of Rs. 525 crore. Approximately Rs. 10,000 crore has been spent to provide students with free textbooks, school uniforms, school bags, and shoes. We have seen the benefits of our work. The dropout rate has significantly decreased, from the primary to the higher secondary levels. In 2011, the dropout rate at the higher secondary level was 17.48%, which has now dropped to 3.30%. Today, I also unveiled the book, 'The Gems of Bengal, 2025', a compilation of the life stories and aspirations of the State's meritorious students. This day has become more memorable for me for a very personal reason, also. I once had the opportunity to be a part of the noble profession of teaching. From 1975 to 1978, for three years, I taught at Manmatha Nath Nandan Boys and Girls School (now known as Bhawanipur Modern School). Today, the school's headmistress, Dr. Srilata De, and one of the members of the school's management committee, Mr. Biswanath Basu, honoured me as a former teacher. This recognition brings me great pride and joy. Finally, I would like to tell my young students: apart from being good at your studies, you must become good human beings as well. You must work for the betterment of the nation, for the people, and for Bengal. Remember, true intelligence builds society. All teachers of Bengal are our pride. I offer my humble respect and best wishes to all these architects of human beings on the eve of Teachers' Day. Jai Hind. Jai Bangla.

THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX | How to solve Keralaโ€™s train travel problem once and for all with โ‚น150 crore? ๐Ÿงต In 2012, the Oomen Chandy government came up with a plan to build a high-speed rail corridor from Mangalore to Trivandrum. The estimated cost was around โ‚น1.18 lakh crore. It was planned to be funded through a Japanese loan from JICA. The project was opposed by the then opposition parties. The project was eventually dropped. In 2020, the present Left government under Pinarayi Vijayan brought back the high-speed rail project, named SilverLine, with a cost estimate of โ‚น64,000 crore. These numbers were rejected by NITI Aayog, which estimated the cost at around โ‚น1.2 lakh crore. There were strong public protests against forceful land acquisition, and the project was dropped by the government in 2022. We also strongly opposed it, as our estimate was that the final cost would easily cross โ‚น1.5 lakh crore, ticket prices would go up to around โ‚น6,000 to make it viable, and there would not be enough ridership. Now it is BJPโ€™s turn. They opposed both earlier projects and have now come up with a new proposal using DMRCโ€™s former chairman, Padma Vibhushan Dr. E. Sreedharan, who later joined BJP. This high-speed rail proposal, unlike SilverLine, is 90% elevated and ends at Kannur instead of Kasargod or Mangalore. The estimated cost is around โ‚น200 crore per kilometre, with an overall cost of more than โ‚น80,000 crore. Fair enough. However, the estimate of โ‚น200 crore per kilometre looks like an underestimate when we look at the Mumbaiโ€“Ahmedabad bullet train. That project started with a cost of โ‚น216 crore per kilometre and has now reached โ‚น393 crore per kilometre, even though it is only half completed. By the time it is finished, the cost could touch โ‚น500 crore per kilometre, if not more. Leaving these big and fancy projects aside, let us come back to the core problem and look at it differently. Take a close look at this video. This shows the weekly train schedule from Kannur towards the south. If you observe carefully, the green-coloured trains are those that run within Kerala, while the red ones are outstation trains that either terminate at stations in Kerala or pass through the state. What does this tell us? (1/8)

//The Wire//2300Z April 14, 2026// //ROUTINE// //BLUF: MULTIPLE FATALITIES REPORTED AFTER SMALL ARMS ATTACKS IN ATLANTA. TWO CONGRESSMEN RESIGN FROM OFFICE FOLLOWING PERSONAL SCANDALS. CONTAINERSHIP STRUCK IN GULF OF OMAN. SCHOOL SHOOTING REPORTED IN TURKEY.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Gulf of Oman: One containership was targeted by Iranian forces this morning. The vessel (which has not yet been identified) was hit by two projectiles, and was assisted by the Pakistani Navy. Analyst Comment: Based on the graphic of the incident provided by the UKMTO this strike on a commercial vessel is one of the farthest conducted by Iranian forces since the war began, with this vessel being located well within the US Navy's own blockade zone. Otherwise, the subsequent daily report published after this targeting effort also confirmed that the general situation regarding commercial shipping remains the same as before, with traffic not resuming normal levels since the ceasefire began. Turkey: This morning a school shooting was reported in Sanliurfa, which resulted in 15x people being wounded. One former student began the attack by firing on the crowded school yard at the Ahmet Koyuncu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. 10x students, 4x teachers, and 1x police officer were wounded before the assailant took his own life, ending the attack. The motive for the attack is not clear, however local media reports that the attacker was a former student of the school. -HomeFront- Georgia: Yesterday a murder spree was reported in DeKalb County, which resulted in multiple fatalities. The first attack took place outside a Checkers on Wesley Chapel Road, in the eastern suburbs of Atlanta. One woman was shot and killed during the attack, which took the form of a drive-by shooting. After the first incident, the suspect maneuvered to the Cherokee Plaza north of Atlanta, where another shooting was conducted. One homeless man was critically wounded at this location. From there, the assailant fled the scene and over a period of several hours maneuvered to a residential area on Battle Forest Drive, to the west of his first murder site. At this attack site, the assailant shot and stabbed a woman while she was walking her dog in her residential neighborhood. The victim at the third location was killed during the attack. After locating the suspect via surveillance footage, the attacker was arrested during a traffic stop. Authorities have identified the suspect as Olaolukitan Adon Abel, and no further details have been provided. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: In Washington, personnel shakeups and political moves are taking place. Two Congressmen have resigned from office following multiple scandals and potential expulsion votes. Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) resigned from Congress following a widening scandal surrounding his affair with a staffer who ended up taking her own life in an exceptionally graphic manner after the affair was discovered. Similarly, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) announced that he will resign as well due to growing calls for his expulsion after a long series of similar affairs and explicit relationships with staffers. Though neither scandal is related to the other, one detail is common between the two cases...both resignations have taken place for misconduct that occurred some time ago but are only being acted upon right now. Gonzales' affair had been very public for a long time, and the death of his staffer back in September of last year brought the affair to public consciousness. Similarly, Swalwell's misconduct came to light back in 2020, when he was removed from the House Intelligence Committee following the Fang Fang incident which lead to concerns that he was openly in a relationship with a Chinese spy. However, in Swalwell's case, his resignation is not related to the earlier incidents, but rather pertaining to approximately 5x different allegations of sexual assault and misconduct, some of which took place years ago. ๐Ÿšจ Ottawaโ€™s reconciliation bill hits $46.5 BILLION for lawyers, land claims and fewer results Since 2015, taxpayer-funded Indigenous programming has jumped from $10.3 billion to $46.5 billion, and the former budget officer says the extra money did not buy better outcomes. On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Canadians are asked to honour the past, but they should also look at the books. Since 2015, federal spending on Indigenous programs has quadrupled, according to the Public Accounts as reported by Blacklockโ€™s Reporter. A large and rising share of that money is not going to water pipes or a better quality of life; itโ€™s going to claims, settlements, and lawyers whose work product is title, compensation, and control over land. Prime Minister at the time, Justin Trudeau, disbanded the old Department of Indian Affairs and called it a historic step toward ending the Indian Act. What followed was the creation of two departments โ€” Crown-Indigenous Relations and Indigenous Services โ€” resulting in an additional 1,683 federal employees in five years. Then-Parliamentary Budget Officer Yves Giroux told the Commons Indigenous committee in 2023 that he found no proportional improvement in services to justify the move. โ€œIncreased spending did not result in a commensurate improvement in the ability of these organizations to achieve the goals they set for themselves,โ€ Giroux said. Specific claims and liabilities, he added, were โ€œconcerningโ€ because they keep growing. โ€œIt raises the question as to how firmly in control the government is with respect to these claims if we keep discovering new claims, which are supposed to be based on historical facts.โ€ Indeed, Crown-Indigenous Relations functions, in practice, as a claims shop: specific claims over reserve lands and treaty breaches, comprehensive claims over unsurrendered title, and the litigation that turns those files into cash and acreage. Auditors found roles and responsibilities โ€œare not always understood,โ€ while strategic analysis and litigation prevention sometimes โ€œlacked defined ownership,โ€ and that financial reporting and cost accountabilities โ€œcould be clarified.โ€ In plain language: nobody owns the file, and the bills keep coming. From 2022 to 2024, spending on lawyersโ€™ billable hours for land claims and other Indigenous litigation jumped 24%, from $74.7 million to $92.9 million a year. Auditors did not tell taxpayers how many hours were bought, what the hourly rate was, or how many outside counsel were hired. They only counted the cases: 673 active lawsuits and another 535 sitting inactive. Comprehensive claims and title cases seek not only money but jurisdiction over territory that other Canadians already live on, farm, or develop. Coupled with the duty to consult and UNDRIP language, it means resource-project disputes can easily be turned into years of legal process. That is how land changes hands without a public sale. Researcher Donna Burns of the Ontario Landowners Association notes that current land claims, such as the Algonquin claim, sideline existing treaties. Land acknowledgments in schools, she says, present a one-sided story that implies theft rather than negotiated agreements and mutual adaptation. โ€œYour settlers came here, and they developed the land,โ€ Burns explained. โ€œA lot of the native people learned how to farm from our different cultures too. They worked together.โ€ If reconciliation means better housing, water, education, and economic participation, the test is outcomes โ€” not litigation headcounts and billable hours. If it means a permanent industry of claims, process, and consultants, that should be said plainly instead of wrapped in a statutory holiday for the same public servants who administer it. On a day dedicated to truth, the auditโ€™s truth is this: Ottawa split a department, lost clear ownership of the litigation file, spent 24% more on lawyers in two years, and still cannot show taxpayers what those hours produced. Real reconciliation would include the part where someone is responsible for results, not just the next invoice or the next parcel of land.

Stargate Trivia: Casting Stargate: Atlantis While SG-1 was my first love (We were together for seven years!), my time on Atlantis proved equally memorable. The show was possessed of a similar tone in its mix of high adventure and humor, yet proved distinct in its exploration of Ancient mythology and an unfamiliar galaxy as seen through the eyes of a new set of heroes. Atlantis offered a sense of wonder and camaraderie born of isolation and constant danger. Whereas team SG-1 could always go home at the conclusion of their adventures, the members of the Atlantis expedition (at least for those first few seasons) could only draw comfort from the city of Atlantis itself โ€“ and, of course, each other. It was unique and compelling yet, at the same time, comfortingly familiar. Nowhere is this more evident than in its opening theme, composed by the late Joel Goldsmith, which is, at turns fresh, haunting, stirring and, throughout, discernibly Stargate. Stargate: Atlantis wasnโ€™t envisioned as a companion to Stargate: SG-1. It was intended to replace the long-running series. The only problem was, with eight seasons under its belt, SG-1 wasnโ€™t quite done yet. And fans (and the network) werenโ€™t done with it either. And so, instead of passing the torch and segueing to a new Stargate series, we ended up producing both. In retrospect, it was quite an achievement: 40 hours of television! Today's productions can barely manage a third that output, but Stargates SG-1 and Atlantis delivered two fantastic 40 episode seasons before SG-1 took itโ€™s final bow. It wasnโ€™t easy, but it was certainly made easier by all of the enormously talented individuals who made it happen, from the office staff and crew to the cast and my fellow writer/producers. Still, it was not without its challenges. Take casting, for instance. It may surprise you to know that, when it comes to producing a show, not everybody cares about costumes or set design or whether the scriptโ€™s fifth act denouement is emotionally satisfying - but everybody, and I do mean EVERYBODY, has an opinion on casting. Studio and network execs, producers, hell, even your significant other peering over your shoulder as you screen the auditions on your home computer, will want to weigh in. Of course, the more voices in the mix the more likely there are to be disagreements. So it is with every production and Atlantis was no different. Different individuals envisioned these characters in very different ways and, as a result, consensus was only achieved after many auditions, calls-backs, heated discussions, and not-so-gentle reminders that our start date was fast-approaching and we really needed someone to say the lines on camera. The part of Carson Beckett was one of the first we cast. The other producers were in Robโ€™s office, screening the first batch of local auditions when Brad called me in and told me to check out the guy onscreen. I hadnโ€™t imagined Beckett with a Scottish accent but, after watching Paul McGillion in the role, I couldnโ€™t imagine him without one. Heโ€™d brought something unexpected to the part, something we all responded to. Elizabeth Weir was not an easy character to pull off. She had to be smart, confident and strong yet needed to exude a certain warmth and empathy we were looking for in the civilian leader of the expedition. When it came time to (re)casting the role, several established names were considered (One had her own hit genre show back in the day while another went on to break out on a hit show soon after), but it was Torri Higginson who managed to strike just the right balance and vault her name to the top of the list. The role of Teyla Emmagan was a tough one to cast. Like Weir, she needed to be a strong, empathetic leader. But she also required something even more important โ€“ quite literally, an other-worldly quality that made her unique. Some equally talented actresses auditioned for the role but, as good as they were, they were never quite able to achieve that gravitas Rachel pulled off with such grace and seeming ease. Former VJ Rainbow Sun Francks won the role of Lieutenant Ford on the strength of a great audition, preceded by an equally great audition with a funny hat. I recall Brad Wright on the phone with our casting agent, advising him to ensure there would be no hat worn in the callback for fear the network would fixate on it. There wasn't, they didn't, and Rainbow delivered. The role of John Sheppard was the second to last one cast. It came right down to the wire and there were several candidates in play. The character was originally envisioned as a good ole southern boy, so it only made sense that Ben Browderโ€™s name was bandied about early. However, he was too busy shooting Peacekeeper Wars to warrant consideration. A number of other actors were considered (one went on to play the lead in a hugely popular show the following year while another made his mark as a handsome heart throb on another hugely popular medical series) but it was Joe Flanigan who won the part based on his ability to pull off the devil-may-care attitude Brad and Robert were looking for. We come to the final role cast, a character who, in many ways, embodied everything Atlantis was about: exploration, discovery, fun, humor, and seat-of-your-pants-Holy-Sh&%-how-the-hell-am-I-going-to-get-out-of-this-adventure. And, as I mentioned in a previous post, he almost didnโ€™t make the trip to Pegasus. Originally, the casting call went out for a completely different character, an earnest young doctor who would lend the team much-needed medical support on their off-world ventures. Unfortunately, no one could agree on who that actor should be. If the casting of Sheppard went down to the wire, then the casting of this final role went a step past it. Finally, days away from production, Robert Cooper had an idea: Forget the doctor character. Why not use an established character from SG-1? How about Rodney McKay? The writers were on board, but some executives weren't werenโ€™t sold on the idea. They found him annoying! Hell yeah, but heโ€™d be sooo much fun to write for! Rob got on the phone and went to bat for Rodney, pointing out that the character had come a long way since first being introduced way back in SG-1โ€™s 48 Hours. Heโ€™d evolved, going from annoying jerk to endearingly irritating. To this day, Iโ€™m convinced that they werenโ€™t totally convinced but, with production poised to commence, they relented, I suppose figuring they could just replace the character somewhere down the line. No one, even those who loved the idea of having the endearingly irritating Rodney McKay on board could have predicted how hugely popular the character would become.

PHONE TAPPING CASE: THE ORIGINS Telangana politics are currently revolving around a bunch of scams including the Naini Coal Block Singareni scam of the Congress leaders and SIT enquiries of BRS leaders in the alleged phone tapping case. But what started this? Yes - the Naini Coal Block scam probably caused the current set of SIT enquiries. But what is the origin story of the whole โ€œPhone Tapping Scandalโ€? Well, we have to go way back into history where after bifurcation, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh shared the common capital - Hyderabad. And current chief minister of Telangana Revanth Reddy was a not so known TDP MLA. On a 31st May 2015, Congress leader Revanth Reddy, then with the Telugu Desam Party, was apprehended by the ACB with a cash bag of Rs 50 lakh, a bribe to Elvis Stephenson, a nominated MLA, for supporting TDP nominee Vem Narendar Reddy in the Telangana legislative council elections. Everything was caught on camera. A voice recording allegedly that of AP CM Chandrababu Naidu was also released to the media along with the camera footage of the whole cash transaction. The then TDP MLA Revanth Reddy was arrested. He was later released on bail for his daughterโ€™s wedding with a condition that he doesnโ€™t speak at all during the wedding. The case resulted in AP CM Chandrababu Naidu temporarily moving to Vijayawada and starting the grand plans for Amaravathi. Though Hyderabad was a common capital for 10 years, the government decided to shift because the TDP government didnโ€™t feel Hyderabad is โ€œsafeโ€ anymore. The Cash for Votes scam also was very efficiently used by Revanth Reddy who was never even a minister until then to become a prominent leader. He catapulted himself into โ€œonly leader who can fight KCRโ€ and in less than 10 years became the CM of Telangana. Was Revanth Reddy really a fighter or a perpetrator in the Cash for Vote scam (though the video is clear) needs to be decided by the honourable courts, someday. The case still is in the court. Now, after about 8 years of this scam, Revanth Reddy returns as the CM. He is not just powerful but angry too. He wants redemption for the humiliation of being caught with bag of cash and the subsequent prison time. That is how the current Phone Tapping Case came into existence. โœ”๏ธHow did the KCR government manage to know of the deal? โœ”๏ธHow did they get the video proofs? โœ”๏ธHow did they get the audiotapes? Because they were listening to the calls??!! Revanth managed to weave a nice spicy narrative over years accusing KTR of listening to private calls of actresses in Tollywood. People love drama, especially that involves a scandal. TRS/BRS leaders never bothered to refute these claims strongly because they felt Revanth is too small for their attention. They were happy for saving the government from collapsing just one year of formation of a separate state. These rumours and salacious stories spread far and wide. Of course the current government wonโ€™t say Vote for Note case is the reason for Phone Tapping. The allegation is that BRS government was illegally listening into private phone conversations of about 1200 people including businessmen, politicians, journalists and even actresses. Both Vote for Note and Phone Tapping cases will come to a legal conclusion probably someday in the far future. But for now, the politics revolve around this. PS: The epic animosity between BRS supremo KCR and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is at the crux of this. KCR wants to protect interests of Telangana while CBN claims he is the original architect and Andhras are the investors of Hyderabad. Now Revanth is still the honest, dedicated student of Chandrababu Naidu making the entire political situation very murky! VC: From the archives

YS Jagan tears into backstabbing ( Vennupotu) party coalition governance Coalition ignores farmers, BCs; ganja peddling serious offence Tadepalli, Aug 26: Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had tore into the coalition governance inefficiency in chalking out contingency plan to mitigate the drought conditions prevailing in the state and trying to play the old game on BC quota in local body elections, besides terming police peddling ganja as the most heinous crime. Speaking to media here on Wednesday, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that while there is an average of 52% deficit rainfall in the past two months and farmers are worried about the kharif crop, Chandrababu Naidu has been silent and no assurance has come from the government for any alternative methodology, which shows the lack of concern for agriculture. It was Chandrababu who encouraged litigation when YSRCP government wanted to go ahead with 34 percent reservation to BCs, and now he is playing the same game with polls nearing, but we were ahead of time and gave more than the quota to BCs, he said. The Addanki incident, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said, shows the level of law and order in the State, with police personnel in an inebriated condition hitting an auto and injuring the inmates, while ganja, liquor and a police uniform were found in the boot of the car in which they were travelling. The government tried to cover up the incident with the DSP, SP and the FIR giving different versions, but the incident shows how deep-rooted the nexus between the political, police and other players and the peddling of ganja is going on in an organised manner. Chandrababu has dismantled the carefully nurtured mechanism of RBKs and farmer welfare measures like free crop insurance, e-cropping and continuous monitoring of market dynamics and has left the agriculture sector in a lurch and no contingency plan was unveiled, and no efforts were made to come to the rescue of the farmers in the kharif season. Distribution of seeds for alternative crops did not begin, nor was the intent of the government told about how it intends to fight the El Niรฑo effect. On one hand, while not extending help in any form, he has been allowing water being drawn by the neighbouring State from Srisailam, ignoring Pothireddypadu and stalling the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation scheme, leaving the Rayalaseema high and dry. Even the Nagarjuna Sagar waters are being taken away by lift irrigation projects by the neighbouring state and Chandrababu has been a mute spectator, which shows his anti-farmer stand. It was stated in Parliament in a written reply that during 2022-23 there were 1.18 crore applications for crop insurance, while it has fallen to 35.17 lakhs now. When it comes to the BC quota, we have always stood with them and their representation was more than what was promised in economic, political and social forums, with major beneficiaries of all the welfare schemes being BCs. In all, Rs 1.82 lakh crore was given to BCs under various schemes. Even in the legislature, local bodies and Corporation Chairpersons, we have given them a lionโ€™s share. Chandrababu, on the other hand, was found wanting when it comes to the numbers, and he did not send a single MP to the Rajya Sabha during his term, while we have sent four of 11 available seats, and we backed the 50 per cent quota for women. Chandrababu has been vindictive towards BC leaders and has been arresting them on false cases, from S Appalaraju to Chinthada Ravi to Virupakshi. The fee reimbursement dues have placed many BC students in a quandary, as they are not getting their certificates. While we have placed strict enforcement to check drug mania in the state during our term, the Addanki incident shows how the drug mafia is functioning. The top brass give varied and different versions which have no coherence, and the police personnel are placed under VR while the crime is of an unpardonable nature, he said. On the ensuing local body elections and the surveys, he said all that reflect on the poor governance of the coalition and how vexed people are with Chandrababu and his policies.

We have two sets of documents: 'Ek Aur Baar Jumla Sarkar'โ€”which basically looks at the promises made by the BJP in their 2024 manifesto plus other kinds of promises and statements they have been making in the last year. The other one, '11 Saal Jhoote Vikaas Ke Vaade', is a detailed exposรฉ of the hollow promises and track record of the false statements that the BJP's just-released report card highlighted. In their 11-Saal document, one of the first themes that they highlight is taking care of the poor and the marginalized. They are very happy that 81 crore people are getting free food grains under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY). But the basic problem of hunger is a much larger crisis in India, and it puts us at 105th out of 127 countries in the World Hunger Index. Its implications: malnutrition is affecting our children in a horrible way, crippling their growth. - Stunting is at 35.5% - Wasting is at 19.3% - Underweight is at 32.1% That is, nearly a third of Indian children are suffering from malnutrition in this day and age when they talk about Viksit Bharat. Let's remind our PM that he has a duty to our children and their future. They claim that they have created 4 times the Eklavya residential schools since 2014. They have announced 700+ schools, out of which 300 are still non-functional. Is it rocket science to set up and run a school? In terms of defence, one of the claims is that over 5000 items have been added to the indigenisation list. Well, sadly, 40% of the items listed for indigenisation have not been indigenized as of now. India remains one of the top importers of defence rather than a producer and exporter. If you look at 'mission mode DRDO projects', 23 out of 55 have been delayed, and the share of R&D in our defence budget is only 5.45% Another claim that is constantly made is that we are the fastest-growing large economy. This is true, but what rate are we growing? Are we able to encash our demographic dividend? Any economist will tell you that if we grow below 8.5 per cent a year, we are sacrificing the future of crores and crores of our youngsters because we will not have enough growth, jobs and opportunities that are required to just fulfil the targetโ€”the great jumlaโ€”2 crores jobs per year. And our growth is 6.5% over the last year. This is the lowest rate after the COVID period. So, what is happening in this 11th year of your Sarkaar, PM Modi? What is happening is reflected in the response of the private sector. Is the Indian private sector investing in India? If you look at the investment figures, after you have given the bonanza tax cut, nothing has changed. They still don't have confidence in the management of your economy to invest. Fixed Capital Formation has come down to 32.4%, which is an 11-year low in FY2024. There is another legacy: the glaring inequality. The share of wealth in India's top 1% of people is 40%. And the bottom 50% have to make do with just over 3%. This is not the economy we want, and unless fixed, we are not going to unleash the raw economic power that India inherently has. : Chairman, AICC Research Dept Rajeev Gowda ji

HOW THE U.N. FOOLED THE WORLD ABOUT CHINA Westerners took over control of a United Nations body to claim the Chinese locked up a million or millions of peopleโ€”but they had no evidence. The โ€œMILLIONSโ€ number was extrapolated from interviews with just 40 people, and they were not randomly selected, said Australian lawyer and researcher Jaq James from Geolaw Narratives. These clearly untrustworthy findings were then amplified by mainstream media reports quoting people from US groups paid to demonize Chinaโ€”with their membership and funding hidden from readers, our own research shows. The result is a massive scam on the worldโ€™s public. Four points: . 1. THEY HIDE THE NEED FOR DERADICALIZATION Point one: In mainstream reports about terrorist deradicalization efforts after the 9/11 attack, the 9/11 act of terrorism is mentioned. Same with the deradicalization efforts after the 7/7 terrorism act in London. But there were more than 130 brutal, acts of terror in Chinaโ€”thatโ€™s correct, more than 130 murderous acts in which large numbers of innocent people were killed by Uyghur separatists. But these are simply not mentioned in typical reports. Only the response is mentioned. By deliberately removing the huge number of acts of terror to which the Chinese are responding, western journalists make the Chinese look like they are taking arbitrary actions against the Uyghurs. Yet the truth is that they were doing what westerners also did, responding to terrorist acts. [Image shows clip of โ€œFrench re-education campsโ€ headline] You can see how unfair that is. . 2. ORIGIN OF โ€˜MILLION LOCKED UPโ€™ CLAIMS Point two: The first claim that China had arbitrarily locked up a million people was exposed by independent journalists at The Grayzone, as coming from an extrapolation from just eight people. More damning still, that extrapolation came from CHRD, a notorious US-based demonization-of-China outfit funded by the US government. The second claim that million people had been locked up came from the UNOHCR, the UN's human rights office. They took interviews from just 40 people and extrapolated what they heard to claim one million people had been unfairly locked up, as Jaq Jamesโ€™ research shows. Ms James points out that the UN should have interviewed randomly selected individuals to get a fair picture. But by interviewing politically networked ones, they are guaranteed to get a biased image. Again, fundamentally unfair. . 3. JUSTICE AND FAIRNESS Point three: This UN department had a leader, Michelle Bachelet, known for her appetite for justice and fairness. This meant she struggled with her staffโ€”westerners who really controlled the operation. She insisted that their report be released alongside a response from China. Here we can see two reports โ€“ one from the UN groupโ€™s staff, and the response from China. The staff report was just 48 pages long. Chinaโ€™s reply was 120 pages long. How many western mainstream media outlets quoted the Chinese report, or even acknowledged its existence? Zero. Not one. Not. A. Single. One. . 4. IN WHICH WE DESTROY THE FINANCIAL TIMES Point four: The mainstream media write-ups about this subject hid the truth from readers in a shockingly deceitful way. Letโ€™s take a look at a Financial Times article, which is fairly typical. It reinforces the UN groupโ€™s dubious findings with evidence which comes from โ€œhuman rights experts and activistsโ€ โ€“ in other words, people paid by the US government to demonize China. The writers do NOT provide their names, just calling them โ€œexpertsโ€. As Kyle Feranna said in his 2024 book: โ€œWestern NGOs, ostensibly concerned with human rights, disproportionยฌately focused on alleged violations in China despite much worse abuses occurring elsewhere in the world.โ€ In other words, they weaponize human rights as tool to use against the Chinese. . GUANTANAMO BAY Then we get a quote from โ€œRushan Abbas of the Campaign for Uyghursโ€. The Financial Times hides from its readers the fact that Ms Abbas was at the notorious Guantanamo Bay โ€“ not as a Muslim victim, but on the US side there. And the paper hides the fact that the Campaign for Uyghurs is financed by the NED, the CIAโ€™s regime change spin off. These are absolutely key facts which change the whole tenor of the piece โ€“ and the FT is cheerfully deceiving its paying readers by omitting them. Abbas is quoted as saying, of the UN groupโ€™s western office staff, โ€œwithout them, it would not have been releasedโ€. This reinforces many reports which say that Commissioner Michelle Bachelet did not want to release such an unfair report, but her staff, mostly westerners, pushed the unfair report out on her last day. . ANONYMOUS SOURCES Then the FT feature article quotes yet another person described as โ€œan activistโ€ and declines to provide his or her name. Then we go to yet another unnamed โ€œhuman rightsโ€ officer. And then yes, a further unnamed โ€œhuman rightsโ€ officer. And then we get a quote from an unnamed โ€œperson with knowledgeโ€. And here we have another anonymous quote โ€“ a senior European diplomat. No name. I mean, there are so many unnamed sources in this piece, it would have been rejected at any decent journalism school. . OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY Now the FT piece breezily passes over a reference to the other side of the story by quote โ€œChina and 68 other countriesโ€. This is hilarious. So if you are a demonizer, paid by the US State Department, you can get as many column inches in the FT as you like, with your name and funding hidden. But if you are 69 actual named countries defending China, giving the other side of the storyโ€”well, theyโ€™ll just mention it in passing. . THE REAL STORY Now, right at the bottom of the article we actually have a named person โ€“ and he actually tells the real story. โ€œBachelet was never really in full control of her office,โ€ said Marc Limon. Now any journalist worth their salt would realize that that is the key quote in the whole article โ€“ and they would ask โ€“ okay, if she was not in charge of that UN group, WHO WAS? But the FT writers choose not to ask that awkward question. They donโ€™t want to know. And they definitely donโ€™t want their readers to know. . CLOSING LINE The FT writers close the article with a line from a quote โ€œUyghur journalistโ€ who actually is named. She is Nuriman Abdureshid. So the reader is left thinking โ€“ oh, so they actually did manage to discuss this with someone in Xinjiang, someone with a name and a job. But what the FT "journalists" omit to tell the paper's long-suffering readers is that Ms Nuriman Abdureshid is associated with a group called Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, a Washington DC group which demonizes China to such an extreme extent that even other anti-China groups avoid them out of sheer embarrassment. Do I have proof that Victims of Communism is backed by the government? Well, the AI which has taken over Google tells us that Victims of Communism has received funding from the US State Department to deal with human rights issues. Hereโ€™s what happens when we look up their funding to check the details. [CLICKS LINK] โ€œSORRY YOU HAVE BEEN BLOCKEDโ€™. Ah yes, the famous US โ€œfree speechโ€. . A QUESTION Iโ€™m going to close with a question. Why is the political and media class in the west working so hard to fool the world about the Chinese? Why work so hard to demonize a country that is working hard to lift itself out of starvation level poverty? What donโ€™t they want the world to know? Could it be that China is actually doing something right? Think about that โ€“ and we may all, one day, be on the road to peace. .

The false prophets of the "New Media" Dear international friends and users of X, We are witnessing a dangerous situation unfold where Romania is being used by popular accounts on the platform to create panic and a false image of what is actually happening in the world. One of those accounts is Mario Nawfal, whom I choose to reference because I met him a few months ago and helped my partner film an interview which now seems incredible to listen to. Everyone in the crypto industry had an image of Mario from the last cycle, and it was interesting to see him pivot to what is now called "New Media" and the success he was able to achieve mainly because of retweets from Elon Musk. During the interview you can watch below, he talks about the high level of attention he receives and the responsibility that comes with it. He admits to taking a side in US politics by supporting Donald Trump because he is a "free speech" advocate, but other than that, he says that his journalism is objective regarding Ukraine/Gaza or any other hot topic around the world. He also speaks highly about posting factual information and not misinformation. Now on the current subject, I feel he is not only taking a side but also spreading significant misinformation about the situation in Romania, and I want to help you understand by clarifying some of these "facts." He refers to Calin Georgescu as "the rightful president of Romania." Let me explain what happened here. Romania had a presidential election at the end of 2024. This type of election in Romania is split into two rounds unless one of the candidates gets more than 50% of the votes. In that case, the candidate wins from the first round and gets to be installed as president. Calin Georgescu won the first round with 22.94% of the votes, which equals 2,120,401 votes out of 9,242,186. The total number of eligible voters on the lists was 18,021,800. By simple math, he obtained the vote of 11.77% of Romanians allowed to vote. Although we can objectively admit he was a favorite for the second round based on these numbers, the election was annulled. The Constitutional Court of Romania first validated the first round and then two days later decided to cancel the election after voting had already started in some areas outside the country where voting takes three days to help Romanian citizens living abroad cast their votes. Romania's president at that time declassified the documents based on which the CCR canceled the elections, and most of the data given to the public was vague. It mentioned interference from another state, social media manipulation, or the cost of the campaign being different than previously declared. Georgescu declared 0$ (ZERO) campaign budget. Now again, even if that would be enough to cancel the election, we all agree that the way the situation unfolded is terrible. It showed the lack of interest from Romanian authorities regarding the elections or, worse, parts of the system that accepted all of this before and during the vote. The root of all problems Much like all over the world, Romania is a country with corrupt politicians. Most of the time in the 35 years of democracy, the same parties ruled the country with one main goal: FILL THE POCKETS WHILE YOU CAN. I'm pretty sure you know what that feels like and thus understand that most of the population is fed up and really wants change. It all erupted in the past 2-3 years with inflation skyrocketing after the pandemic and the cost of living becoming unbearable for some parts of the population. Now here comes Calin Georgescu. A self-portrayed savior of the people and a fighter against the current establishment, he campaigned mainly on social media. Most of his ideology is nationalist, populist, and Christian Orthodox. Most of us had no idea who he was until the very last day before the first round, especially in big cities, and the fact that he won struck the country like a truck. In fact, some of his voters declared that they had no idea who he was, but social media, especially TikTok, portrayed him as the savior, and the other options were people they couldn't vote for anymore. One week before the election, most polls gave Georgescu less than 5% and, in the best cases, 8% of the votes. So you can now understand the surprise we had after the counting was done. After that night, Romanians started to analyze the winner of the first round, and what they found was sometimes scary and other times funnyโ€”ranging from "There are microchips in Pepsi that enter your body like a laptop" to "The moon landing was fake", "5G technology is extremely dangerous" or "Covid is not real, you can't see it." You can find most of his statements on this website with sources: Setting aside some of these statements, which are mostly harmless, he said things like "Romania should look towards Russian wisdom." He even said he would be ready to leave NATO if it felt necessary and criticized the EU and the way it treats Romania. While we can agree on some small details in these claims, you have to understand the raw feeling of Romanians when it comes to Russia after more than 40 years of communism. It's the same in most of the Eastern Bloc, and it is being passed from one generation to another. And it is mostly hate. Romania is not the most developed country in Europe, but it grew a lot after being accepted into NATO and the EU, and you can check the economic data that sustains this. That being said, you can probably understand why some of those statements were labeled as dangerous by parts of the population that doesn't want to accept even a small chance of leaving the EU/NATO and turning toward "Russian wisdom." Back to our current government One thing that actually unites most Romanians these days is their lack of trust in the current political scene. There is a feeling of exhaustion among us, and we just want honest people ruling the country. Probably just a dream, as my personal take is it will never happen and most of this drama is just "circus". It's always the same situation, just different pockets. Our current prime minister, Marcel Ciolacu , was recently investigated by journalists for different private flights paid for by a company that scammed many Romanians in the real estate industry. Of course, some of those involved in the scam are also politicians. So you probably now understand why we also want change. The situation in Romania is wild these days. We do want change; some think Georgescu is that change, some think he is exactly what we don't need. I don't want to make any judgments in this article. I'm trying to show you what I think "New Media" and "Citizen journalism" should be, at least in my view. What I thought Mario also stands for after that interview. In the course of the last few weeks, Mario has posted every step of Georgescu alongside a network of other popular accounts, some of them known for edgy takes or straightforward propaganda, like Jackson Hinkle or Alex Jones. He even came to Romania to interview Calin and George Simion and said he was afraid. Afraid of what? What did he think he did wrong to be afraid of? Nothing. Just the usual recipe of fear to create drama for views. Many Romanians are asking him in replies to actually dig deeper into the matter and to listen to everyone, but he clearly took a side and goes forward. Why? We don't know for sure; there are some people claiming he was paid to campaign for Georgescu, but there is no actual proof of that being the case. Maybe it's because he wants to continue with the whole "Anti-Soros" agenda widely spread even by Elon Musk these days. We don't know, and I don't want to point out a reason without proof or facts. In fact, that's exactly why I wrote this piece. I'm tired of Old Media, and now the concept of "New Media" is failing harder than I would've ever imagined. Misinformation spreads the fastest on the internet, and most people don't take the time to double or triple check. It is exactly the same practice of biased mainstream media, but for the other side. It's no longer "it must be true, I saw it on CNN" but "it must be true, I saw *insert popular account* posted it." We are witnessing a difficult situation, not only in Romania, and I think journalism should evolve into what it should've always been. But this is not the way. We need to present facts and acknowledge the responsibility, especially as our accounts grow bigger. I encourage every one of you to join the conversation and fill the gaps that I might've missed. Bring facts, bring arguments, do not bring insults. I hope I was clear enough and that this helps some of you understand the situation better. I would love to see you help this post get the attention it needs. Thank you, andreibratucu

BOOM!!! ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ Dr. Aseem Malhotra's testimony was delivered in the Helsinski District Court on April 12, 2024, with the understanding that any deviation from the truth would constitute perjury. This clip was immediately banned by YouTube so please share widely. I've trimmed the clip, removing the interpreter's segment for a smoother listening experience. Here's the first hour of the testimony. ---------------------------------- My name is Doctor Aseem Malhotra. I am a consultant cardiologist. I've been a qualified doctor since 2001. I have held various roles both in academic health policy. In England, in the United Kingdom, and of the various roles, I won't bore you with all the details. I think three of the most relevant and prominent are the fact that I was an ambassador for the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges for six years, which represented every doctor in the UK. I served a full term of six years as a trustee of the King's fund. I was the youngest member to be appointed to this body which advises government on health policy. I was a founding member of Action on Sugar and a first science director. And through that role I'm considered the lead campaigner on bringing about a sugary drinks tax in the UK. And also, finally I served for five years as visiting professor of evidence based medicine at the Bahiana School of Medicine in Salvador, Brazil. In early 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic I was most vocal doctor on the mainstream, making the link very early on between COVID and those who are vulnerable to suffering serious complications from COVID In fact, in March 2020, I was asked to go on Sky News to explain my initial research findings of the link between especially obesity and COVID, but also to give people an opportunity and to suggest to the government this was a great time for them to implement public health policy to help people enhance or optimise their immune system, which could happen within just a few weeks of dietary changes and optimising vitamin D. This was later also backed up by medical journal publications a few months later. And I was first to mention on the back of an article I published in the Daily Telegraph newspaper, which became a front page commentary and was picked up by BBC News and Good Morning Britain, where I had said that it's likely our prime minister, Boris Johnson, was hospitalised because of his weight. As a result of that, the then secretary for health, Matt Hancock, and this was publicised in the news, had asked me to advise him on the link between COVID and obesity. ...before I explain my journey and in many ways U-turn on my understanding in terms of the benefits and harms of the COVID vaccine, my experience in this area over the last couple of years has made me realise more than ever that even for that the greatest barrier to the truth are not factual or intellectual barriers, but psychological. I think all of us as human beings are vulnerable to these psychological barriers and we should have compassion for ourselves. And I will just very briefly summarise those three psychological barriers before I get into my detailed account of what I was involved in in regards to the COVID vaccine. The first psychological barrier is one of fear. And many of us understandably, and I still remember from early on in the pandemic, we were all scared. We did not know what we were dealing with. The issue with fear is that when people and populations are in a state of fear, we are less likely to engage in critical thinking and we are more likely to be compliant. Although COVID was particularly devastating for vulnerable groups in the elderly and I even have managed and still manage people with long COVID, the fear was grossly exaggerated. And one of the examples of that is that when we had good information on the mortality rate of COVID in the United States, one survey in 2020 revealed that 50% of Americans believed that if they caught COVID, the risk of 19 hospitalisation was 50% one and two, when the actual figure, certainly an average for people in middle age, was less than 1%. The second barrier to the truth, which I think is very relevant to the situation we find ourselves in now, is one called willful blindness. This is when human beings, all of us, are vulnerable to this, turn a blind eye to the truth in order to feel safe, avoid conflict, reduce anxiety and to protect prestige and fragile egos. Some examples of this include, on a personal level, willful blindness can occur when a spouse turns a blind eye to the affair of their partner. On an institutional level, some great examples of willful blindness include Hollywood and Harvey Weinstein, the Catholic Church and child molestation. I believe the current situation we find ourselves in, with much of the mainstream narrative and the medical establishment and policy makers not acknowledging quite horrific, serious and common harms from this vaccine, is another example of willful blindness. And I also say this with full empathy, because I was one of those people that was for a very long time, willfully blind to the harms of the COVID vaccine. In January 2021, I was one of the first people to take two doses of the COVID mRNA vaccine because I volunteered in a vaccine centre. I still believe that traditional vaccines are some of the safest amongst all pharmacological interventions in medicine and I could not conceive of any possibility whatsoever of this vaccine causing harm. As a public figure and respected doctor in the UK, I have built relationships across the board with many other public figures, including celebrities and politicians, who often come to me for medical advice. One of those people was film director Gurinder Chadha, who you may be familiar with some of her work, including the movie "Bend It like Beckham", who had asked me whether or not she should take the vaccine and had sent me blogs which I dismissed and regarded as anti vax nonsense. I was then asked to go on good morning, Britain because Gurinder Chadha, the director herself tweeted that I had convinced her to take the vaccine. The main reason for this TV appearance was to help tackle vaccine hesitancy, which was very prominent amongst people from ethnic minority groups in the UK. I made the point on that programme that I understand where vaccine hesitancy was coming from because of the history that I have been involved with over many years in highlighting the shortcomings of pharmaceutical industry influence over medicine. And I even made the point, if I remember correctly, that they have been found guilty of fraud on many occasions, that the third most common cause of death, prepandemic after heart disease and cancer, is prescribed medications. I, however, reassured the public and said that despite these figures, of everything we do in medicine, traditional vaccinations are amongst the safest. I still believe this to be the case. A few months later, in April 2021, I met with a colleague and friend of mine who I regard as one of the brightest cardiologists in the United Kingdom. I was surprised when he told me that he had not taken the COVID vaccine. He explained to me that he had concerns because he had seen in the supplementary appendix of Pfizer's original trial that there were four cardiac arrests in the vaccine group and only one in the placebo. These numbers were small and did not reach statistical significance. So this could be random chance, or his concern was it could represent a signal of problems in the future. And if this was the case, we are going to have a huge problem. He said he'd rather wait and see what happens before taking the vaccine. On July 26, 2021, my father, aged 73, who was a very prominent, well known doctor in the UK, including being the honorary vice president of the British Medical Association and had received honours from the Queen of England with an OBE, suffered an unexpected sudden cardiac arrest. I was particularly devastated by this happening and I was also I find it difficult to understand why my father, who was a fit and well man, I knew his cardiac history and his cardiac status, would suffer a cardiac arrest. But also my initial investigation was to try and understand why there had been a 30 minutes ambulance delay arriving to his apartment. Two weeks later, the deputy chief nurse of NHS England, a government health body, called me up. She was very upset, she knew my father very well and she was crying and she told me, Aseem, there's something I need to tell you. She in effect told me that throughout the country, for the last two months prior to my father's cardiac arrest in most regions of the UK, ambulances were not getting to patients in time for heart attacks and cardiac arrests. And there had been a deliberate, and I will use these words because I mentioned it, I've mentioned it before, a cover up involving the government and the Department of Health to withhold this information from doctors and the public. I worked with an investigative journalist with the I newspaper in the UK to write an article and a news story that became BBC News headlines a few months later, exposing this. Just before I exposed this, I messaged a professor of cardiology who I trust in the UK. He has a leadership role to explain to him what had happened and what I was about to do. I have text message evidence of this. He told me not to do this because it would make me enemies. I explained to him that I had a duty to patients and the public. I'm highlighting this as one example and I'll give you more examples of a cultural problem within medicine. The next part of this story is the post mortem findings of my father. They did not make any sense to me. I am considered a leading expert, maybe in the world, on the development and progression of coronary artery disease. My father had two severe blockages in his coronary arteries. There was no actual evidence of heart attack and likely there was a rhythm disturbance because of reduced blood supply that led to his cardiac arrest. Then in, within the space of a few weeks, around October and November, 3, different sources of information was brought to my attention that made me realise that there was probably a significant problem with the COVID mRNA vaccine. The first in October 2021. I remember I was giving lectures in Stockholm. I was contacted by a journalist with a Times newspaper who reported to me and said, Dr Malhotra, we have reports of an unexplained 25% increase in heart attacks in hospitals in Scotland and asked me what I thought was going on. I explained to her that at that time, with the evidence I knew in my own experience, I said that two likely contributory factors were lockdown stress. We know that when populations undergo severe stress after war, for example, there is an increase in heart attacks and strokes that can last for many years. She asked me whether I thought that there was a contribution. I was surprised when she asked me whether I thought there may be a contribution of the COVID vaccine to these heart attacks. I said to her, a good scientist should never exclude any possibility. But I felt at the time it was unlikely to be related to the COVID vaccine. But we should watch this space and keep our eyes open. A few weeks later, a publication appeared in the Journal Circulation, which is considered the highest impact cardiology journal in the United States that revealed a potentially very strong link between the COVID mRNA vaccines and acceleration in heart attack risk. Very specifically, in several hundred people of middle age, there was a plausible mechanism, by use of inflammatory markers in the blood, that increased the baseline risk of those people having a heart attack in five years, from 11% to 25%, just within two months of having the COVID mRNA vaccines. Of course, this is one bit of data, but even if partially true, that is a huge increase in risk in a very short space of time. And for me now made me think and link back to why my father may have suffered a cardiac arrest six months after having two doses of the vaccine. I remember thinking and speaking to a colleague, that if this was true, then we were going to see an increase in cardiac arrests, heart attacks and excess deaths in heavily vaccinated countries for the next few years. Then within a few weeks, I was called up by a whistleblower at a very prestigious british institution. I will name that institution, which I have not done publicly before as a University of Oxford. This cardiologist explained to me that a group of researchers in his department had accidentally found, through the use of very specialised imaging of the heart, that there was a signal of increased inflammation of the heart arteries, which was there in the vaccinated, but not there in the unvaccinated. The lead researcher of that group had sat down, the juniors, and had said that we are not going to explore these findings any further because it may affect our funding from the pharmaceutical industry. At that point, with these three bits of information, I then felt it was my ethical duty to speak out. And I went on GBNews to talk about what I'd found what I'd heard and I'd asked for the Vaccine Committee of the UK on TV to investigate this, to see whether there was a real problem with the vaccine in relation to heart issues. Around the same time which I found very strange is that the Secretary of State for Health at that stage, who was not Matt Hancock, was Sajid Javid, had announced in parliament that we are going to introduce legislation to ensure that all healthcare workers are mandated to have the COVID vaccine. For me, this, by that stage had no ethical or scientific justification, because certainly after the summer of 2021, it had become very apparent that the COVID mRNA vaccine was not stopping infection and it certainly was not stopping transmission. It was understood that approximately 80,000 NHS workers had refused at this stage to have the COVID vaccine. And now they were threatened with losing their job if by April the following year they had not been fully vaccinated. Many of these people were very concerned and contacted me around that time, I was also conducting many interviews, both through the BBC and Sky News and GBNews in regards to what happened with my father's ambulance delay. And I used it as an opportunity on the mainstream media to call for Sajid Javid, the secretary for health, to U-turn on the introduction of a mandate for healthcare workers based upon the fact that I felt it was not scientific and it was unethical. I also received my own personal backlash from these comments where I was contacted by the Royal College of Physicians who I had an affiliation with, and they asked me to respond to anonymous complaints from doctors that I was spreading, in quotes, antivax disinformation. I felt with my own knowledge and experience of the healthcare system that this was a direct response probably fueled by a combination of willful blindness and institutional corruption. To elaborate a bit further, when I say institutional corruption, I mean that my view was that the complaints were likely being fueled by academics with financial ties to the pharmaceutical industry. I felt very concerned about the potential introduction of the vaccine, well, the vaccine mandate. And therefore I decided there were two things that I decided to do. The first was I made a phone call to the chairman of the British Medical Association in December 2021. I had a good relationship with him and he respected my opinion. And I spent 2 hours on the phone explaining to him everything that I knew up to that stage about my concerns of the COVID mRNA vaccine. He said to me, "Aseem, nobody appears to critically appraise the evidence on the COVID mRNA vaccine as well as you have from our conversation, he said, most of my colleagues are getting their information on the benefits and harms of the vaccine from the BBC". This was replicated by the former chair of the CDC in the United States, Rochelle Walensky, who in an interview later on had said that her initial optimism of the vaccine benefits came from CNN News report. I say this just to emphasise that we should all accept our vulnerabilities to where we receive health information. Even doctors, policymakers, judges and lawyers are all influenced on the public massively by mainstream media. The chairman of the BMA also agreed with me. There was no ethical or scientific justification for mandating the COVID vaccine. He said the BMA also did not support it. And he said because of my conversation with him, he would speak directly to the secretary for health, Sajid Javid. One month later, at the end of January 2022, the COVID vaccine mandate for healthcare workers was overturned. I at that stage, given the fact that there was some backlash happening towards me, I realised that because this is a very big issue and area, and not my initial area of expertise, I needed to carry out my own critical analysis of the COVID mRNA vaccines. I spent six to nine months critically appraising the data, including speaking to two Pfizer whistleblowers, three investigative medical journalists and eminent scientists from the University of Oxford, Stanford and Harvard. The most critical bit, the most critical research that was published on this issue, which I think the whole court should acknowledge in August 2022, was published in the journal Vaccine. That research was conducted by some of the world's top independent of drug industry influence academics. That research, we was able to reanalyze the original randomised control trials conducted by Pfizer and Moderna. They were able to do this because new information was made available on the FDA's website and Health Canada's website. The conclusions of that paper were really very disturbing. The original trials that led to the drug regulatory approval of these vaccines revealed that you were more likely to suffer serious harm from taking the vaccine, specifically hospitalisation, life changing event or disability, than you were to be hospitalised with COVID That rate of harm at two months was very high at 1 in 800. Just to give you some perspective, historically we have suspended other vaccines for much less. In 1976, the swine flu vaccine was pulled because it was found to cause a neurological syndrome called Guillain-Barre syndrome In one in 100,000 people. In 1999, the rotavirus vaccine was suspended because it was found to cause a form of bowel obstruction in children affecting 1 in 10,000. This was 1 in 800. In my view, it was very clear that given this information, published in the highest impact Vaccine journal in the world, peer reviewed, and has not had any significant rebuttals, that this vaccine now, in my view, should never have been approved for use in a single human being in the first place. In my view, this very important court case in some ways, actually is a distraction from the much bigger issue, which is there should be court cases around the world with a full inquiry into the pharmaceutical industry and an inquiry as to how we got this so very wrong. Of course, one could argue this is just one bit of research, but actually, unfortunately, there are different, many different strands of research that are showing a signal of considerable and common serious harm from these vaccines. From pharmacovigilance data that is reporting what we call yellow card reports from the public. We have plausible biological mechanism of harm. We have other research called observational data. We have autopsy data also confirming that certainly with the majority of people who died within a short space of time of having the vaccine in relation to the heart, was definitively caused by the vaccine. This is really a very, very, very horrific situation we find ourselves in. One would hope and expect that the regulators should be independently evaluating all medications. But of course, the evidence reveals this is far from true. There was an investigation by the BMJ, also published in the summer of 2022, which revealed that most of the major regulators across the world were taking most of their money from the drug industry. For example, the MHRA in the UK receives 86% of its funding from the drug industry, and the FDA in America receives 65% of its funding from the drug industry, A fact that most doctors do not know. And therefore, I would not expect members of the court to know this either, is that very, very rarely do drug industry sponsored research get independently evaluated. Clinical trial data can often involve thousands of pages of information on individual patients. The drug companies hold onto that raw data. They then give summary results to the regulator, who are then paying, who have an incentive to approve the drugs, and the drugs are then approved. I made these points in my peer reviewed article published in the Journal of Insulin Resistance in September 2022, where I concluded that we should pause and investigate the issue around the COVID mRNA vaccines. I have since then been campaigning and advocating for a return to ethical evidence based medical practise around the world. Some of the clear solutions moving forward would be changes in the law that are required so that patients, doctors, members of the public can have greater confidence in the information they receive to make decisions about their health. Two very clear, low hanging fruit solutions, which are both ethical, scientific and democratic, would be that the drug industry should be allowed to develop drugs, but they shouldn't be allowed to test them themselves. And they certainly shouldn't be allowed to design their own research to and hold onto the raw data. Their information needs to be independently evaluated. One other clear solution would also be that the medical regulators, again, should not be taking any money from the industry, as this is a gross conflict of interest. I also want to highlight for people to understand the bigger picture. Prior to the pandemic, I had realised that there was a big problem with the reliability of clinical research, where invariably the results of clinical trials on all drugs sponsored by the drug industry, grossly exaggerate their safety and benefits. I have taken this information to the European Parliament, where I spoke in 2019, and I spoke to very senior politicians in the UK government. But although they were sympathetic, they felt that the issue was much bigger than them as individuals, and therefore it also needed media attention to get public awareness on the importance of such an inquiry. Before we continue with further questions, as I've been speaking for quite a long time now I'll just finish with two references just for the court and the judges to understand just how bad this problem is. Prepandemic the man who I call the Stephen Hawking of medicine is Professor John Ioannidis from the University of Stanford. The reason I call him the Stephen Hawking of Medicine is he's the most cited medical researcher in the world and is a mathematical genius. In 2006, he published a paper which was entitled why most published research findings are false. In that paper, he makes a point that the greater the financial interests in a given field, the less likely the research findings are to be true. I say this in context of the Pfizer mRNA vaccine which has made the company $100 billion. The other point that he makes in a further paper in 2017 is, again, the reason the system continues as it is is most doctors are unaware of the information they receive when they make clinical decisions has been corrupted by commercial influence. The other credible name I will mention is the editor of the Lancet, Richard Horton, who I personally know. In 2015, he wrote an article in the Lancet in relation to a secret meeting that had taken place with himself and some of the world's top medical academics. In that, he wrote that possibly half of the medical published literature may simply be untrue. And he said that science has taken a turn towards darkness. But who's going to take the first step to clean up the system? I believe in this case and in this court today, this is going to be a very pivotal potential moment in history for that first step. ---------------------- Dr Aseem Malhotra H/T: Tiina Keskimรคki ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฎ

โ€˜F*CK WHITE PEOPLEโ€™ Palestinian refugee confronted in Montreal Last Saturday, March 7, Lavoie crossed paths with this woman โ€” Samar Alkhdour โ€” as she was heading to a demonstration organized by Iranians in Montreal. As might be expected, since Alkhdour openly supports what she calls the โ€œresistanceโ€ in Gaza โ€” in other words, Hamas โ€” she was leaving the area rather than taking part in the demonstration. Lavoie questioned her about the comments she had made toward Canada, as well as the remarks she had made about white people. This is not the first time Samar Alkhdour has been seen at protests. She is a pro-Hamas activist who regularly participates in demonstrations. According to her LinkedIn profile, she works at the Immigrant Social Assistance Centre in Montreal. But who exactly is this woman who has been widely featured by mainstream media outlets, many of which helped pressure the government to accelerate the admission of Palestinian refugees into Canada? It is important to remember that due to the presence of Hamas members and other radical groups in Gaza, the vetting process for refugee applicants must be extremely rigorous. Here is what Lavoie was able to uncover. Samar Alkhdour is originally from the Gaza Strip, where she lived with her husband, Mahmoud El-Kahlout โ€” a name that will return later in the story. She is the mother of three children, including her eldest daughter, who suffered from severe cerebral palsy affecting her vision, mobility, and ability to eat. In 2017, Alkhdour reportedly received a scholarship and a visa to study in Ohio, in the United States. She left Gaza with two of her children, leaving behind her severely disabled daughter and her husband, who at the time had not received security clearance to leave Gaza. It was not until 2018 that her husband was finally able to join her in the United States. Meanwhile, their daughter remained in Gaza because they were unable to find suitable transportation for the child, who was extremely ill. In 2019, after completing her degree, Alkhdour and her family applied for refugee status in Canada. However, at the time it was impossible to claim asylum from within the United States due to the Safe Third Country Agreement between the two countries. This means that Alkhdour and her family most likely crossed the border illegally at Roxham Road, as thousands of migrants did during that period. For several years, their social media accounts contained almost no posts about Gaza โ€” and none about their daughter who remained there. It was only after October 7, 2023, when Hamas massacred innocent civilians in Israel, that Alkhdour and her husband began actively campaigning to pressure the Canadian government to accelerate the entry of Palestinian refugees โ€” including their own family members. In several media appearances, they used the tragic situation of their daughter in order to pressure the government, even blaming Canada for her death โ€” despite the fact that she had been left behind by them, not Canada. Alkhdour was even arrested and charged after participating in pressure actions outside the Montreal office of Mark Miller, Canadaโ€™s former immigration minister, where she camped for several days. The charges were later dropped. In several of her activist videos, she can be seen disrespecting police officers, disrupting public spaces, glorifying the events of October 7, and calling on people to escalate disruptive actions. Her ex-husband โ€” because according to Alkhdour they may have divorced โ€” Mahmoud El-Kahlout, who according to LinkedIn works for Air Canada, has also used media appearances to pressure the government to accelerate the arrival of his family in Canada. Mahmoud has also publicly expressed support for Hamas. In one of his publications, Mahmoud El-Kahlout indicated his wish to avenge the sniper who took out his beloved Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind behind the October 7 massacre, stating in Arabic: โ€œYou Will Be Trampled.โ€ On his Instagram account, Mahmoud El-Kahlout even paid tribute to a man released from prison after 13 years for stabbing two Israelis. Mahmoud El-Kahlout has also stated that a man named Dr. Ahmed Hassan El-Kahlout, who was detained by Israeli forces and admitted to being a member of Hamas, is a member of his family. However, Lavoie was not able to confirm the exact family connection. Mahmoud claims the manโ€™s confession was obtained under coercion. However, a well-placed source confirmed to Lavoie that the statements in the video are authentic and that no coercion was used. Mahmoud is also trying to bring his brother to Canada โ€” a graphic designer who, according to his own social media, also expresses support for Hamas. In one post, children can be seen watching Abu Obaida, the Hamas spokesperson, with the caption in Arabic: โ€œThe legacy of difficult days! A generation with a true role model.โ€ Canada has allowed โ€” and continues to allow โ€” individuals into the country who import their conflicts here, despise the culture of the country, and openly support terrorist organizations. According to Lavoie, Samar Alkhdour and her husband should never have been allowed to immigrate to Canada. Those who agree can sign the petition at REPORT by Alexandra Lavoie:

๐Ÿ”ฅ I saw, "a white egg," and, "it's been confirmed to me by ranking members of the UAP Task Force that what we were working with that night was in fact NHI, and it was not a unique experience." ~New Whistleblower Jake Barber ๐Ÿ”ฅ (Here's the full clip, tease, and transcript of the new alleged whistleblower, Jake Barber, who will be featured this Saturday on NewsNation.) Ross Coulthart: "You may have seen the promotional publicity by now for a very major story which we intend to broadcast on NewsNation this coming Saturday at 8pm Eastern Time on NewsNation. It's a huge story. It's one I've been working on for over two years. You'll recall back in 2023, we broke the David Grusch interview, where the former NGIA, National Geospatial Intelligence Agency insider, revealed what he knew from his exhaustive investigations into the legacy retrieval program. "The big criticism, always, of David Grusch was that he didn't have any direct personal knowledge of the legacy program. I actually understand he does, but he can't talk about it. But today I'm going to tell you about a story that will, I suspect, rock Washington and possibly have a huge influence on a lot of people around the world who've wanted answers to that big question for many, many years: Are we alone? And the short answer: We're not. "This week, we are presenting definitive evidence from firsthand whistleblowers, people who have operated within the legacy crash retrieval program. That is retrievals of non-human craft. Principal informant is a former, very-well-respected, Tier 1 operator. Highly-trained, Tier 1 military operator, trained at the elite levels of the U.S. military. His service, verified and testified to by three other witnesses. "The account that he gives of what he saw on what he euphemistically refers to as the range, the retrieval of non-human craft, is backed by two of his colleagues who were there with him. "This is going to be a ground breaking story, and yes, we're running it right before the inauguration, because we want to send a message. The message is: It's time for the public to be told the truth. The government, or sections of the government, have been knowingly, intentionally lying to the public for years, and if they want to fight, they can have one, because people are now prepared to come forward. "This week, you're going to hear from a firsthand whistleblower. Let's have a listen." ~~~ Coulthart: So tell me about the moment when you realized that you were involved in a retrieval of non-human technology, alien tech." Jake Barber: "So it became very clear the first time our communication process and procedure was modified. And then just visually looking at the object on the ground, you could tell that it was extraordinary and anomalous. It was, it was not human." Coulthart: "How close did you get?" Barber: "Well, I was a helicopter pilot and I operate with 150 foot to 200 foot long line. So, I got within 150 feet of this object." Coulthart: "What did you see?" Barber: "I saw an egg, a white egg." Coulthart: "Was there any visible propulsion system on it?" Barber: "No, not what we would know.. There's no engine, there was no thermal signature. I was operating at night when I finally came in to pick it up. So I'm working under night-vision goggles at the time. And it was quite clear. I flipped them up, flipped them down, and looked at it a couple of different ways." Coulthart: "How did you know that that egg-shaped object was non-human in origin?" Barber: "Well, visually, after seeing all kinds of things in my past, it was clearly something that was ridiculously looking. It's inconsistent with anything I'd ever seen before. I can also tell you that the reaction by my team, we all knew we were dealing with something extraordinary." Coulthart: "And at no stage were you ever subsequently told that the craft was of non-human origin?" Barber: "I will tell you that during this process, over the last couple of years, it's been confirmed to me by ranking members of the UAP Task Force that what we were working with that night was in fact NHI, and it was not a unique experience." ~~~ Coulthart: "Now, as you'll see in this week's story, the bonafides of our witnesses are verified to our satisfaction. We've been able to check their credentials and their service with people at the very top of the national security establishment, and inside the Congress. We know that the evidence has already been presented to the Pentagon's UFO Investigation Office, AARO - the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office. We know that evidence has been given by our primary whistleblower to the Senate Select Committee for intelligence. "Congress already has this information. We've made sure that our whistleblower follows the proper form to ensure that the proper authorities are notified and alerted to what the significances of this witness has to say. It's going to be very interesting to see what happens, but it's also going to be very interesting to see what the new government's response, the new president's response is to the ongoing drone incursions. Because it's quite clear there is a connection between the drone incursions and the phenomenon of UAPs." Watch the full interview during NewsNationโ€™s TV special: โ€œHunting UFOs: The Crash Retrieval Whistleblowerโ€ on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 8 p.m. ET.

//The Wire//1500Z November 27, 2025// //ROUTINE// //BLUF: DC SHOOTER IDENTIFIED AS FORMER AFGHAN SOLDIER BROUGHT TO USA AFTER THE FALL OF KABUL. HONG KONG FIRE RESULTS IN DOZENS OF FATALITIES.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Africa: A military coup was reported yesterday in Guinea-Bissau, with President Umaro Sissoco Embalรณ being arrested at his residence in Bissau. This follows a few weeks of election issues after the President disqualified his political opponent from the election. Analyst Comment: The fall of Guinea-Bissau is the latest addition to what has been colloquially referred to as the "coup belt", a line of nations stretching east-west across Africa, which have been host to overthrowing their governments over the past five years. Hong Kong: Yesterday a multiple-alarm fire broke out at a series of high-rise apartment buildings that were undergoing renovation in Tai Po. Around one thousand firefighters, medical, and police officers worked to extinguished the fires, which involved 7 of the 8 skyscrapers that comprise the Wang Fuk Court housing project. Concerning casualties, 65x fatalities are confirmed so far, however potentially hundreds of people remain missing as this complex provided housing for roughly 4,000 people. A few hours after the fire broke out, three people who worked for the construction company conducting repairs on the buildings were arrested on suspicion of arson. Analyst Comment: Although several people were arrested, it's not clear as to if this was a deliberate attack or a preventable accident. Right now, locals suspect criminal negligence: the contractor is said to have cut corners during the renovation project, by using highly flammable netting and foam insulation during construction. If this is really what happened, this would explain the rapid spread of the fire to seven different structures. An investigation will be needed to confirm the origin and explain the rapid spread of the fire, but right now this incident bears striking resemblance to the Grenfell Tower fire, which rapidly consumed the London apartment building in a similar manner back in 2017. That incident occurred in nearly the same manner, with highly flammable foam insulation being used to insulate the structure, which caught fire and allowed the flames to spread rapidly. -HomeFront- Washington D.C. - The suspect in yesterday's shooting has been identified as Rahmanullah Lakanwal, a former Afghan soldier who worked with the United States as part of the Afghan intelligence services during the Global War on Terrorism. Ramanullah was granted entry to the United States in 2021 under Operation ALLIES WELCOME, the program to evacuate Afghans who worked with the US government during the occupation. Regarding the attack itself, more details have come to light which help explain how the attack was carried out. Rahmanullah approached the two soldiers with a revolver, shooting one in the head immediately and severely wounding the other. This took both soldiers out of the fight immediately, as neither had time to react. By happenstance, one of their officers (a Major) was walking on foot in their vicinity, conducting an informal spot check of the various security posts set up in the area. This Major was not armed with a service weapon, but was the primary responder at the time of the attack. After the two soldiers were engaged, the Major took up a position of cover and concealment near the shooter. When the shooter stopped firing and began reloading, the Major attacked the shooter with a personally owned pocket knife, stabbing the attacker in the head and torso. As this hand-to-hand engagement was occurring, another armed soldier arrived and engaged the attacker with his firearm, striking the suspect several times in the extremities. From there, a dogpile situation occurred and the attacker was detained. Analyst Comment: Though details will certainly be clarified in due time, at present this appears to be a classic case of everyone doing everything right, and tragedy still being the result. Both soldiers were armed and wearing body armor at the time, however the speed and extremely close range of the attack rendered these tools ineffective. The Major who helped end the attack was not armed as he was not occupying a security post himself, so this is not out of the ordinary. The soldier who was armed and shot the suspect, arrived almost immediately after hearing the shots. Concerning the wounded, yesterday afternoon confusion emerged regarding the status of the soldiers. Governor Morrisey retracted his statement on their condition, as both soldiers have not succumbed to their wounds and still remain in critical condition at local hospitals. Prayers are strongly encouraged all around for their recovery. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: The shooting in Washington also highlights the importance of having fast *and* accurate information during a crisis. Immediately after the shooting, one photo of the suspect being loaded into an ambulance began circulating online. However, some people took this photo and ran it through AI models to clean up the image, as a shaky photo taken with a smartphone from a long distance doesn't usually offer the best image quality. The problem is that the AI models significantly altered the face of the suspect. In short, someone tried to clean up the image with AI, but in doing so, the face of the suspect was slightly altered and no longer looked like him. The effect was subtle, but enough to actually change what the man looked like. This photo spread like wildfire, with everyone craving the higher-resolution photo of the suspect, despite this AI-manipulated photo not actually being accurate. At the height of a terror attack, the primary photo of the suspect that circulated social media...was an AI photoshop job. In most cases, the fact that this image was AI "enhanced" was NOT disclosed...people had no idea they were looking at (and sharing) a manipulated photo. As if this wasn't serious enough, a second wave of AI-manipulated photos hit the timeline shortly after the suspect was identified. The actual photo of the suspect as leaked on social media was a cellphone photo of a computer screen, and not the best quality. So, some journalists took it upon themselves to manipulate yet another photo of the suspect, which once again changed details of the suspect's face. In this case, the AI-model was a little more accurate, and did a better job of cleaning up a poor-quality image, but the concerns still stand...no one disclosed that this image was generated by AI, and based on a different photo. Sometimes, we have to be content with the information that we have at the time of a crisis. Not everything can be in 4k ultra-high resolution, and right now all AI models have shown weaknesses in producing false information at times. This would be very wise to consider as this situation is very likely to happen again; some fugitive wanted by police might only have one or two blurry photos to share with the media. And if the media decide to alter the photos themselves, changing the physical features of the suspect, the public will be on the lookout for the wrong man. During the heat of the moment, the fast-paced nature of an emergency might result in the internet not realizing that AI-models are being used by people who are not disclosing it. During a crisis, photos of suspects are often released very quickly, especially if there are continued threats. These photos are usually never high resolution or perfect quality, but due to the speed at which the public must be aware of something, authorities share what information they have at the time. If journalists are going to start taking the photos given to them by the police, and running those photos through AI models before publishing them to the public...this is a major problem. This has been a concern for some time, however now the proof is in the pudding. In effect, this was a test that most people on the internet failed. It is not just theoretically possible for inaccurate and manipulative AI-generated content to slip in during a real-time disaster...this case proves that it already happened, and very few people noticed. If we recall, this exact same situation has already happened as well. In the hours after the Charlie Kirk shooting, for example, AI-manipulated renderings of the suspect circulated more widely than the official photos as released by the FBI. In that case, a wanted fugitive was actively being sought, and the fake photos of the suspect circulated more widely than the official photos. People want pretty pictures, but this is almost never the reality of emergencies that are in progress. Nevertheless, the nature of engagement farming on social media often impacts the situation, as AI-created content is often more desirable than the truth. As such, when it comes to future emergencies, one of the major concerns will now be imagery of a suspect or a crime scene, which may be heavily manipulated by AI.
